Thinking of moving to Texas and these vids are helpful, thanks. Most videos posted now are just relators talking about buying houses so its cool to see normal folks talking about the place they live in and whats its like. Friendly suggestion for future videos, use a Gopro with video stabilization. Some you can get for as little as $100 and it can vastly improve video quality.
"The crime rate in Plano is considerably higher than the national average across all communities in America from the largest to the smallest, although at 19 crimes per one thousand residents, it is not among the communities with the very highest crime rate. The chance of becoming a victim of either violent or property crime in Plano is 1 in 54. Based on FBI crime data, Plano is not one of the safest communities in America. Relative to Texas, Plano has a crime rate that is higher than 66% of the state's cities and towns of all sizes." --Neighborhood Scout Plano isn't "safe". Think about 1 in 54 in terms of per 100,000 people, that number skyrockets
Awesome video! I’m actually going to Plano this upcoming weekend. Do you have any videos geared towards young adults moving into their first apartment? I’m currently in my last year of grad school and I’m planning to move either when i graduate in May or when I complete my military contract (early 2023, I’m not staying in) and since I work remotely full time, I’ve been using this year to travel to different locations and get a feel for where I want to live. Definitely don’t want to be somewhere that super fast paced like NYC or LA but I don’t want to be somewhere dead and slow like where I currently live. Definitely took notes during your video and I’m looking forward to visiting Plano ❤️
Awesome. Yes we can def do a video about moving into an apartment. We do have a few videos of our apartment hunting journey be sure to check those videos out
My sons and I are thinking of moving to Texas and my problem is the high crime areas..When we’re ready to move can I hit you up on here for some more info about Plano ?
Great information in the video, this was such a help! Excellent editing as well! If you could get a gyro (stabilizer) for the camera to help with the shaking, it would make the video perfect! Loved this! Thank you!
yes. please don't get it twisted. about Dart. it is the most unreliable transit system here and the nastiest homeless-infested, crime-written transit system. get a car.
I grew up in plano im 23 but I was born and raised there, went to dooley and armstrong then mcmillen and finally plano east. After covid hit tho my family lost there jobs and I was eventually evicted and went homeless and was among the heroin addicts. Povert is very real in plano and it sucks.
East Side is one of the lower income sides, especially in the neighborhoods where Williams/Armstrong/Bowman are (still has high income too), West Side is higher income...but also poverty is an issue in most of the developed world where prices are high
@@sportingdirector1 I rarely ever saw the west, I was always in East. The house I grew up in was 4008 Angelina. Right by Dooley. Then moved to Los Rios apt by the kroger if you know what I am talking about.
@@youraveragedoomeramirahmed4332 I used to go to Dooley and also was at the Los Rios apartments. Moved, but pretty close to there still. It's along my trip to Williams every day
@@meettheteats definitely at some point. We’re still recovering from the Texas Winter Storm as our apartment is still being repaired and we’re in a hotel at the moment. We went to Stuckey’s in Italy Texas last weekend. We go for drives on the weekends to learn the area. I, of course am taking baby steps with the driving even though we’ve been here for about 6 months now, no expressways for me but my husband loves to drive them. I love your videos. They’re very helpful and inspiring. Keep up the great work!
I came across your page . im a single mother moving from Atlanta with a toddler . how have your experience in plano been ? do you think its safe to raise a toddler there ? what about your experience with schools ?
I might need to move there for work soon. What's the incidence of tornados in the area? That's my biggest concern. I live in the hood already, so that's not a concern for me so much lol
I'm born and raised in Plano Texas. You Wrong About The Crime Rate In Plano. You Should Go To East Plano. I.e. East Spring Creek, Ave k , Ave P, East Park Blvd East Parker Road. They Have Gang's and lot's of Drugs. Just like other towns. In your video you are only on The West Side of Plano Texas. Where there is very little crime and the rich people are. You should go to the hood on the East Side Plano. Just Saying.
It’s only 1 hood in Plano Deep East Side ( Douglass ) where it start and 14st where it END but it’s tricky everywhere in Dallas some parts across the tracks where the white folks from it’s heroin addicts lol but other then that the TOWN still segregated but DOUGLASS community is So calm now a days not so rough anymore it really depend on what you get into it’s a Family oriented area , BUT 14 street is where alotta Douglass cats expand the neighborhood and did they dirt on that end
