These were my very 1st introduction to collecting....it was awesome seeing the originals...I really felt like I was looking at my cards! Amazing score!
Collecting garbage pail kids cards was like the coolest thing in the 80s for me next to baseball, football and basketball cards. Use to love showing my cards off to my friends and laughing because the cards were so funny. LOL
I found over 200 original GPKS at my local thrift store along with some movie cards (Star Wars:The Empire Strikes Back, E.T., and others!) All for 5 bucks
I sold my original complete Series 1 and Series 2 matte back complete for like 300 in 2002 maybe? The series 1 what i did were a kept them in acrylic card boxes so it did beat up the miscut edges a bit. The series 2 was probably nm though
I would buy that so fast and for so cheap. I brought 48 cards for 10 dollars at target and i thought that was a great deal but geez that's an amazing grab.
You gotta be friggin' kidding me? 1st series GPK's at a goodwill? Somebody slipped up BIG TIME.. I'm literally paying thousands of dollars for these right now to get them all back that I used to have lol.....I'm surprised goodwill didn't put them on their website to auction off like anything else of value they get , that's what my goodwill does, they literally only put the bare scraps in my goodwill anything remotely valuable goes on their website for auction
I made this video almost 2 yrs ago and at that time GPK were no where near the prices they are now. Unfortunately most goodwills now do keep track of inventory of all trading cards and post them on their website. Covid has driven the collectible market up considerably and that's a bad thing if you're trying to get back into original series 1-3 now.
What exactly do you mean by real or fake? But if you are collecting vintage ones try to find some at thrift stores or protected sites. Contact the seller if you need to on the sites. Look into the cards and see how much people have brought them for. I'm a collector too and have brought most of my cards in person but still end up buying some from off of Amazon. It can be a little weird and stressful but try to be careful when buying and trust your gut feeling.
what websites are you talking about can you please tell me and thank you for the information and I love collecting the orginal garbage pail kids cards 😄✌
@@kevinpasson9859 Sorry for the late response but you can use Amazon and ebay, I have not used ebay before but if you feel comfortable you can. I would recommend amazon even though things might be a little pricey but I trust amazon more.

So lucky
I spotted a 'Jammin' Amber! Good stuff.
I'm very interested in trading. What cards you lookin for? I have a lot of all new series.
Have a question, I have some 86&87 ones. Are they valuable?
Edit: my dad gave em to me, how do you tell if they’re rare?
The most valuable ones right now are the os1 and os2. But just like any other type of card, condition is key. Geepeekay.com is a great reference site.
Buffalo Jr thank you man! Awesome video
Love my gpk wouldn’t sell mine for anything
