I really liked how Piers carried the interview entirely. No judgement, asking tough questions in a respected manner. I wish he could have conducted an interview this way when Candace was on the show a couple of weeks ago.
Candace is a professional gaslighter and comes from a very mean-spirited and self-righteous place! ! I don't think it is possible to conduct a genuine interesting interview with her! She's simply quite insufferable!
Several years ago I randomly bumped into Armie down a remote country lane where he was obviously staying during a filming assignment. He looked familiar, but I didn't immediately recognise him. He actually seemed like a nice sort of guy, had a friendly chit-chat, and gave me directions to where I was trying to get to. I can confirm that he didn't try to eat me.
Aah.. the classic "seemed like a nice guy". As if that means anything at all. It's always the ones that are the nicest, seemingly most normal, that are the sickest of beasts.
Probably because he felt like armie was telling the truth and being genuine....I do atleast. I think he's accepted his demons and is dealing with them the best way he can.
It made a big difference that this actor accepted responsibility for the actions he took. He’s worked hard to move forward with his life in a much more positive manner
Piers did describe Hammer perfectly. He is a handsome man on the road to get recognition, now it all came crashing down. He does his job well. He asks questions, burning questions that we are all wanting to ask and know the answers and he lets Hammer answer them and he doesn't fall back or backtrack on his mistakes that he's done. He answers them directly. If the case got dropped and she wouldn't sign an affadavit then that should be telling in on itself. Armie looks like he's in a better place and just hope he can just try and live for his children.
Totally random, but I worked at a book store when “50 Shades” was published. So many women bought those books, it was mind boggling. One woman even told me, “Read ‘50 Shades’ if you’re trying to understand what a woman really wants.”
As a woman, I believe a large part of his story. Obviously, he's been prepped for this conversation to an extent, but a lot of this sounds very real and raw, and he handled Piers' questions well. It's unfortunate that what he saw as a consensual act would be used to blackmail and extort him for years. I'm not saying he's perfect or completely innocent, but there are two sides to every story and I wish our society wouldn't cancel and obliterate people into nothing.
You fell for his act. He's extremely charming, good looking and well spoken. He chose his words very wisely to make it look like he was taking accountability
I have a lot of respect for Armie Hammer after watching this. It’s hard to admit when we’ve screwed up and take responsibility and he’s done that while still having class and take this interview as humbly as one can.
In the beginning, he said, “I didn’t feel comfortable in my body.” Piers heard that as “I didn’t feel comfortable about my body.” Two very different things! People who haven’t experienced this just don’t get it.
@@AJ-pd8bd I watched the documentary and my thoughts about everything that happened were exactly how everything is explained in this interview. It is absolutely clear that all the accusations against him are false and everything he did with those women was consensual.
This was a really good interview. I see him differently. He is very self aware. Very clean in his communication and effortless in a way that you can feel little neurosis around his words--he just lets them flow from a truthful place. I hope to see Armie in films again, soon. I also have a new respect for Piers' interview skills. Really beautiful discussion.
Yes, i agree... it looks like having too much power and fame, if not dealt with properly, can be a bad thing. "With great power(and fame) comes great responsibility." -Spiderman Original film. Lol.

Hmm. Not exactly. Worked in the entertainment industry for decades. You are right about the confessing and the revealing. But not the repenting. Bet you anything his manager or publicist called him and said, "Who's ready to get out of Hollywood Purgatory?"
I’m so glad Piers did this interview. I wondered about Armie, and had not heard anything since all the terrible accusations. So it was good to hear about it, straight from Armie. I believe him.
A selfish person will throw anyone or everyone under the bus to save themselves. Thats not what we saw here. Respect for a guy going through recovery and taking responsibility.

Much better interview with Armie by Piers than on Bill Maher's podcast. I know it's a different format, but Bill spent so much time talking about himself and didn't really probe Armie. Piers really probed him, also listened, and got answers.
I didn't know Bill before and watched that interview. He made some jokes at topics where I thought, come on now, you can't be serious... It was a train wreck
It felt like piers was the father figure conversation Armie probably never had. Piers set a safe platform of empathy, in order for this man to express,l was so impressed by piers.

The thing about being an actor and being accused of such things is that people will immediately think he is not being sincere and will call it an Act. I’ve personally always felt sorry for him. What people don’t realise is he came from a massively wealthy family, his father was a leading industrialist who basically disowned his son when he chose to go into acting. It’s so rare to see someone so thoroughly and humiliatingly degraded be willing to come out and speak so candidly about their downfall. Yes but was a running joke throughout the whole interview. That's the whole issue with social media. People read an article or a post and now make judgement like they know the person. Dumb
I don’t know who this guy is but he did pretty well in this interview for the topic. I never know what to think about this type of situation because women can say anything and immediately be believed. I say that as a woman myself. Years ago my brother was accused of some things by an ex and she took him to court over it. Funny thing was she picked a weekend that she said things happened not realizing he was at a wedding with many friends and family and it was hundreds of miles away. He lost friends, his job, and his name was tarnished UNTIL he went to court and it came out she was making it all up. The judge scolded her for about 10 mins and she got to go on her merry way. I’ve looked at these situations differently since that happened to someone I know has spent his entire life protecting his sisters, mom, and friends from disrespectful men. Like this guy he was told to stay silent until he was in court but that meant people assumed he was guilty because he wasn’t defending himself.
That was the best interview I've ever watched. Piers was direct but kind. I thought this fella being interviewed was being forthright. He answered all the questions and didn't throw others under the bus. I never heard of him before. I don't watch much tv and I see maybe one movie every ten years. I wish him well.
His lawyer didn’t have anything to do with charges not coming forward. It had everything to do with Effie not willing to provide a statement under oath. Her pre-interview was absolutely ridiculous! I’m not sure who she is but given that Armie is an actor I could assume she is an actress or wants to be. If she is no wonder she’s not a known actress.
@Spotless_World did you watch the full interview? His lawyer had nothing to do with it. The women didn't want to testify under oath and one of the women's lawyers dropped her as a client because she could see the allegations for what they are
The media are too quick to publish allegations without really digging into facts. Some people are motivated by spite and desire for fame, and it ruins peoples lives for no reason.
Armie Hammer comes from a troubled family coupled with great wealth. It is highly probable that his upbringing was not conducive to the development of a well-rounded, grounded adult.
Well that’s what happens when someone grows up never being told “NO”. Never seeing poverty, never seeing struggle, being given anything he asks for, and being raised with a mindset that whatever he wants he gets from whoever, whenever. Those people are also known as narcissists and sociopaths
I can’t imagine how it must feel talking about so many incredibly personal and painful things in front of the whole world. Must be really really important for him to explain his actions and to move forward. I’ve got a huge amount of respect for his honesty and effort trying to explain how he got into this mess. I wish him happiness and all the best for his future!

Cheers Peers.
He's been in therapy, a whole lot, obviously. The choice of words, the explanations, everything points to that. But some of it has rubbed off, so good luck, Armie.
BDSM is not a crime if the rules of consent are treated as sacred. His ex maliciously twisting and misrepresenting their relationship to humiliate him is truly deplorable. But, Armie has taken a lot away from the experience. He has used it to confront himself, to get sober, to make amends, and to change his life for himself and his kids. "Who you are when you fall shows what you are made of at the deepest level." Mad support!!!

Interesting interview, but Piers is missing a key question - If he was so drunk and high during that time, how does he trust his own recollection of events? How does he know for SURE he didn't cross a line with these women?
No, he asked if he could trust his own recollections due to the substances, you must've missed it. I watched the whole interview. Anyway, just have to correct incorrect statements. Have a blessed day and God bless you and your family. Not being mean or anything.
Anyone who has a real understanding of BDSM can surely understand the cravings, urges and emotions he’s describing. It is awful for someone to participate in a BDSM dynamic, fully and wholeheartedly, and then out the other person to the world entirely out of context. Absolute betrayal. It has destroyed his career and it is just terrible.
Exactly. A complete betrayal.

Honestly props to Piers for giving this Interview, he's been killing it this year with his controversial guests, but better yet I really respect how he got Armie to open up.
Honestly just watched the entire interview and while I was initially a bit disgusted, I think Armie did a great job explaining himself and came across as really well and understanding during the interview, he genuinely seems really sorry for what he did and I don't know the full details at all, but he came across really well and this was a really touching and moving interview. Cheers Peers.
This must be cathartic for him Do you think this confession will bring him back?
He's been in therapy, a whole lot, obviously. The choice of words, the explanations, everything points to that. But some of it has rubbed off, so good luck, Armie.
Its acting and you're gullible 😂
@@andrewtowell6074then he should win an Oscar… becuse it was a really good interview, if you think he was acting.
"Who you are when you fall shows what you are made of at the deepest level."
Mad support!!!
It is a perversion tbh .
Armie Hammer is very brave to accept having this interview. Many people have worse life but they never speak about it publicly
I'm sure he got paid well. He needs the money.

Bruh I swear Piers Morgan is a savage with the guests he's bringing on ahahaha
🙄😂
Whole facts! 😂
i love crackhead barney
@@heathbarzforpresidentnow THAT was funny weird!
He wasn’t savage at all . He kept saying “ this is a role play for you ,, etc . “ . He was very helpful all the time
These women knew he was married with young children, which tells me they lack a moral compass. Says a lot that these women chose to smear him *after* being dumped. He has done nothing illegal, these women were consenting adults.
it was HIS marriage and HIS children
Women didn't care though
It's a losing argument, women get the benefit of the doubt in nearly all these situations.
@@carolinehurley2006 doesn't matter. His wife knew and didn't care probably because she was in it for the money, that's how Hollywood relationships work. The women who accused him of things assumed they had a chance to replace the wife either for money or because they were delulu and thought they'd have his babies. He threw them aside when they started to catch feelings and they got absolutely nothing out of it that they had hoped for. So they felt disgusted with themselves and decided to accuse him of heinous things to retaliate out of envy.
@@carolinehurley2006Does not mean they don’t lack a moral compass. They chose to sleep with somebody who was married and had kids. He is also responsible but they aren’t better
Excellent interview! He should have never been cancelled. I would love to see him in movies again.
My thoughts exactly.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Morgan is actually letting the guest talk !!
😂 Finally!
Because it is not the wackos who don’t live in reality. Guests of his show who accept some accountability are a huge lap from the people who want us to live in their unrealistic reality.
“It’s cold enough to store meat in here” was so outta pocket lmao
And when he said … “he’ll be cheap to hire!” Those two last statements took a nice edge off the heaviness of the interview. At least he still has a sense of humor!
I remember people saying it was cold in Glenn Beck’s studio, too.
hmmmm...
@@everythingisaworkinprogres5729 Piers said that's because he don't want to sweat in the studio and I understand that! You don't want to look like a sweaty mess in front of the camera.
Something a cannibal would say
Armie being in consensual relationships vs what spacey was accused of are pretty different.. I don’t think comparing them helps armie what so ever
But the media loves black and white...not shades of grey 😏
The comparison isn’t meant to help Armie. It’s meant to wrap up the interview by putting the story into perspective after summerizing, analysing and discussing. The comparison is for the viewers and meant to initiate further thought on the stories broader context. Piers Morgan is a journalist not a therapist.
Obviously you don't know what Hammer did.
@@saltycat662 with respect, unless you were there, neither do you
@@heather6668 If ALL THIS is something he was willing to talk about in public, imagine the things he did he wouldn't be willing to talk about. Use your brain. This is pure damage control on his part and I had my doubts, but after watching the documentary, I'm 100% sure he did all of those things he was accused of.
precise and honest , its very refreshing to watch
The man uses responsibility statement all the time (the “I statement”). And he never make excuses on his side. Of course he did make mistakes, but he certainly deserves respect for openly confronting his past.
Mistake is not the word for the crimes he commited.

He's a psychopath. If you believe what he is selling then you are a fool. He was an arrogant, rich, famous actor from a rich family. He did not have imposter syndrome. He had a entitlement syndrome along with psychopathy, power and sadism.
Ridiculous!

What a kind and gentle interview, i didnt know Piers Morgan could be so agreeable 🤔
Asking for who supported you and
who didn’t support you is tacky. Piers will always be Piers cringe
Maybe because he can relate.
Piers is a great interviewer..he pushes just enough. I do belive this guest, he just got cought up in a wild life style but his intent was never to hurt anyone.
True
he’s a great actor. I hope I can see him act again.
Armie Hammer gave a very good interview. He seems straightforward and open. It’s clear he’s taken the time to reflect on his life. He’s also very eloquent, which is rare nowadays. I hope he’s able to find a way to continue to make films or do something else he enjoys.
Great interview …. One of the best I’ve watched in a loooooong time! Thanks for giving people the space and time to get their side of the story out. Hope he gets his career back.
both of them are gulity...dimwit
HE CAME CLEAN TO HIS WIFE "VOLUNTARILY"..... BECAUSE he knew the allegation was incoming... BIG FAIL that Piers didn't catch this, but he eventually said so
🇨🇦 he owned up to his wife only because the other woman was going to tell her , this act tainted my view on the rest of this interview , I think he is a greedy and dangerous individual , seems like theres never enough of anything for him . Prince or king or tyrant syndrome
3 times he reinvented that story. He jumped in front of story. He lied throughout interview. Not one time the could tell the truth.
Yes exactly what I thought
This interview is maturely liberating for Armie Hammer! Having seen that all charges were dropped is already something should be at least considered. Congratulations Piers Morgan, I love this interview and I really think AH is a very talented actor.
I think the world has gone crazy

All I can say as a former police detective is thar the messages were the facts that showed the truth. Just like Amber Heard tried to do to Johnny. The whole cancel culture movement is/was illogical. True.
Well said

Yes, you can't engage on BDSM and then later claim you felt uncomfortable but didn't say anything.
I didn’t know who this man was until this interview. I was a little uncomfortable watching. Very handsome, speaks very eloquently. I’m glad he’s clean and sober and I do hope he has a nice long road ahead of him to be there for his kids and watch them grow.
Same. I had never heard of him.
Yep, me too. Piers usually asks the very introspective questions. This one didn't disappoint.
I’m nearly certain he is the Grandson of the founder of Arm & Hammer, Armand Hammer.
Still digging
There’s generational trauma in that family
Seriously? You never watch movies?

From day 1, I didn't believe that he had done anything criminal. He owns his mistakes, and he deserves another chance in the society.
Interesting interview, but Piers is missing a key question - If he was so drunk and high during that time, how does he trust his own recollection of events? How does he know for SURE he didn't cross a line with these women?
Bingo
No, he asked if he could trust his own recollections due to the substances, you must've missed it. I watched the whole interview. Anyway, just have to correct incorrect statements. Have a blessed day and God bless you and your family. Not being mean or anything.

When you're a professional addict you don't lose your consciousness... you become tolerant. It's not the same for them as us normies
Like when he didn't ask Mr. Consensuality if she branded him as well.
Yes, he broke up with her (I think because he felt guitly about the whole thing and it turned too extreme even for his taste), which is never pleasant for anyone, but to publish your most intimate messages that are full of different very non-vanilla things as revenge is just vile.
So totally agree !!
@@ElectreIsMoresame!
Anybody that read 50 Shades which is millions and mostly women should understand the narrative.
What gets me is Effie didn't sign the affidavit, which says everything if you ask me
I honestly need to watch the documentary. On him on Max.
Selective outrage is a big problem. If the allegations of Armie Hammer canceled him, then more than half of the entertainment industry should have been canceled. He is not nearly as problematic as Lou Taylor, Justin Timberlake, Dr.dre, Eminem, machine gun kelly, Tony maguire, Shia le boeuf etc the list goes on. He definitely has demons made plenty of mistakes but I don't believe he is a bad person. He did a ton of substances and his kinks/ issues surfaced. He needed therapy not a mistress
Agree!
Except for those actors are not cannibals! Look at the weird stuff he was writing to women about eating them! No, I do not want to see him on screen ever again! And not because of the other accusation.
A normal night in almost all Hollywood houshold 's dont c anything worth cancelling for.
This guy is gross and disturbing, he seems like a sinister psycho
@@timmytee734 there's no way to say this without being insulting, but your an 1mb3cile if you actually believe he's a cann1bal based off those statements.
Those statements were all made in a dirty talk fantasy context no reasonable person could come to the conclusion that he's a cannibal off that,
That's like if you saw a man and woman s3xting and the girl says
"I want you to take 4dvantage of me" in her text and then you go:
"Oh no! She's being 4bused!"
Millions of women romaticized 50 Shades of Grey and seem to be escandalized now. This is a perfect example of this wold's double standards.
Piers did an amazing job.
Only because reading a book is safe space to experience fantasy and does not mean one would necessarily want to pursue in real life. Plus I thought the Dakota Johnson character was stronger, better and more appealing 👍
@BareBare711 Yes and he was very good as well, it is just the character is not that appealing at first
Is it the women who romanticised 50 shades that are against it now?
50 shades was all about consent. Maybe he should have asked for a contract and NDA for proof.
