The thing is when you play without villagers everyone can vfr(vote for role) and then confirm themselves, that's why it's so hard for werewolves to win, villagers having no role gives the bad side some breathing room
This isn't true for one night ultimate werewolf, as you only have a single vote. Having just a minion and a tanner in a 2 werewolf game means that choosing to vfr only gives you a 50% chance of winning , as opposed to something like town of Salem where you can keep voting for the sketchy roles until you kill the werewolves. The werewolves are hard to win with because in one night they don't actually do anything, and are essentially just evil villagers. This is easily fixed by switching out a basic werewolf or 2 for cards like the mystic werewolf, that allow them to do things that the village can do, instead of relying solely on mind games while the village gets powerful effects Edit: the official website gives 2 seperate suggested roles for 7 players. The first using villagers and basic werewolves for a more tame game, and the second using none of either for a more complex version. The first: 2 Werewolves, 2 Villagers, Seer, Robber, Troublemaker, Tanner, Drunk, Minion. The second: Robber, Tanner, Drunk, Minion, Alpha Wolf, Apprentice Seer, Paranormal Investigator, Witch, Revealer, Dream Wolf.
Apprentice seer (looks at one card in the center) is a good role to add if you want something more interesting than villager but not as chaotic as witch et al. Mystic wolf is also a lot of fun, would definitely recommend adding her in to balance the teams a bit. Great video, love seeing everyone together again and would love to see more!
NL: Err waiter? There's a MALF in my Tabletop Sim expansion pack that cost me $8. Waiter: oh I'm sorry sir, I'll get you a fresh one. NL: no no, its downright poggy! I'll take another one to go please!
Trying to play board games with people who simply REFUSE to learn the rules is among the most agonizing experiences a man can endure. So kudos to NL for keeping it together as well as he did.
I do recommend you have like, two villagers, just to make it easier for werewolves to cover their tracks -- as you saw, with no villagers the wolves lose a lot -- but regardless this has been INCREDIBLY pogged
The advantage of having multiple Villagers is it gives an easy lie for Werewolves. Plus if 4 people claim Villager when there's only 3, that makes things interesting
Man... I really want to see this gang play Secret Hitler! I remember seeing TB and Co play it on tabletop sim like five ish years ago and it was so much fun! If you like werewolf, I think you'll like Secret Hitler. It's an excellent social deduction game just like this.
Yaya I was so exited for another episode of this so I’m glad I got one so soon also I’m so hyped for this type of gameplay, hopefully I can see you play with the doppelgänger in the next episode as for some reason she’s my fave, together with the minion tho can get a little hectic but it’s still fun.
@@leejames929 depends on what you want, I guess. I love that this is a fast game and being able to change so fast makes it less likely to become salty. Plus everybody is always playing, unlike WW where you can be left out early and just get bored. They both have pros and cons and both are enjoyable in their own way, but for the way this show is, One Night is a much better fit.
This DLC seems to be well done, but it seems like the person currently acting needs the option to pause the narration if necessary. Heck, maybe that's even possible, and these loveable lunks just don't know how?
Wasn’t the first game scuffed? You shouldn’t have been the dream wolf at the end if you were swapped by the village idiot afterward. I think because you failed to put back the witch card you had that one switched instead of the dream wolf. So you should have won that round
"I saw his orange hand moving along the text" had me rolling
That entire interaction is easily in the top 5 moments for me over the past year. What brilliant dynamic these guys have

NL "Did someone see the far right card?"
"I did it was a werewolf"
".......Ok good to know. Moving on"
He was so ready to give information then backpedalled hard, great content.
Please do more of this with the lads, Chib reading his role with his mouse had me in stitches
How can chib do that amazing play, knowing everyone and mega brining it
And then forget what he does 4 times I love him
The struggle I saw within the first 5 minutes was impressive.
This DLC shouldve had better card integration. Like having a button as the village idiot that instantly swaps everyones card.
Tanner strats are real.
12:13 "Have you been the villager? I fell asleep!"
Um, Ryan, that is literally what you're supposed to do as a villager, so: Good job!
8:00 While rubbing his eyes and just going "The fuck are you talking about." I laughed so hard

i love the idea of the Mystic wolf using she/her pronouns

Apollo's Among Us experience has made him too powerful. Soon, he will be unstoppable
It’s incredible to watch though, especially when used for good
NL I already watched this in the vod after the other video came out. I’m pogged out of my gourd. Please give more.
Another Video with Apollo and the boys? Praise the lord this is the best!!!
That thumbnail is too pure a shot of dad humour.
Trying to play board games with people who simply REFUSE to learn the rules is among the most agonizing experiences a man can endure. So kudos to NL for keeping it together as well as he did.
Chib is a great add to the mix 🤣 I'm so happy to see the crew together again and this segment was amazing!!
The absolute chaos of the beginning is why I watch.
When NL couldn't swap his card in time as the witch i fucking died
I do recommend you have like, two villagers, just to make it easier for werewolves to cover their tracks -- as you saw, with no villagers the wolves lose a lot -- but regardless this has been INCREDIBLY pogged
This might b the funniest one yet. I have laughed out loud at least 3 times

The problem with too many villagers is that you have like zero info to catch people with.
@@ninjacell2999 yeah, it's a balance
I feel like Ryan will have to tattoo the words 'your role is at the bottom left' onto some people's arms after this
If ur the seer, looking at two cards in the middle is an OP strat.
My favorite part is the narrator explaining everything but they still need to read the rules repeatedly.
I like how they always play it wrong, adds to the fun of the game
Ryan really fucked that first round
Edit: And didn’t notice the dream Wolf constantly holding up their thumb in the second round
If only there was a pre-recorded set of instructions the game plays during the night phase or something...
4:15 onwards was just the pure gaming energy i needed
Yooo, uncanny resemblance. Congratulations Malf, you’ve officially made it.
They Put MALF In This Board Game? (Emotional)
I have no.idea how some.of the roles ended up where they were even after watching the video
Lying and misdirection plus running out of time during swaps seemingly
When NL was awake as the werewolf, he didn't see Cory sticking out his thumb and did not stick out his own thumb for the minion... Whyyyy
Northernlion: I have 2 cards. I am powerful.
I watched this live but came in to say the thumbnail and title are hilarious

one night ultimate pogwolf
This video is just concentrated confusion.
This is incredibly pogged content
Chiblee is my favorite, god he's a delight
this is so chaotic, i love it

15:13 I love chiblee
These vids are so good I'd love to see more
Game is too easy for town when you add too many special roles.
I thought the werewolves killed someone each night.
This is One Night. Wolves have no kill phase, they just need to survive the only day phase to win
Ya imo one night kinda sucks compared to the real game

Thank you Ryab
Took me a second to like this series but now I'm looking forward to it ;) .

Hi NorthernLion!
Chjb is a treasure
Y'all need to play with Curiator, it's so fun
4:21 Is this a pro gamer move?
Chib truly is Josh 2.0
ROBBER
This is a great representation of how it feels to learn a new tabletop game
Hahaha everytime something like this happens, picking 2 cards.
This is great
Just adding a comment for Al. :3
Hi Ryan!
NL is the king of clickbait and I wouldn't have it any other way
Im gonna go watch some spelunky 2 from MALF for that title you egg
Is this just completely different from werwolf or are they playing it wrong ?
This is one night ultimate werewolf- just a shorter version than the original
wtf is this game? holy shit, its minute 10 and i have 0 idea of whats going on except for pura chaos
Hey NL since you liked Slasher's Keep can you also try out the game Barony?

Is chib ok lol
I’m the second view I guess. I don’t know why I have to mention that but something in my soul had told me too.
Some real Werewolf games would be nice, that One Night Thing is really boring.
you know NL, I was just randomly thinking that Selene is a better name than Luna. Can you rename your daughter for me?
Luna isn't her real name.
@@Doomclown mind blown. Source?
I've always said hidden role games are crap. Nice to have visual proof to show the doubters.
