Unbelievable! This is now the most watched Pokemon Japanese booster box opening on UA-cam. Thank you all SO MUCH for your incredible outpouring of support! Onward and upward to half a million views!
100,000 views... I can't believe it. More people have seen this video than I am estimated to meet in my lifetime. Thank you everyone for supporting this video and my channel!
PawFighter A few days ago, I shockingly passed 1,000,000 estimated minutes watched on this video. It's the kind of number that makes no functional sense to me. :)
@Ellie Knipper The Zekrom EX was not released in a full set in Japan - it came in one of the separate Battle Strength Decks. The card was unavailable in any Japanese booster pack until this set, and since I never bought the deck, it took me until now to get it! (Same goes for the Reshiram EX featured in this set.)
+Anthony Rached I've only seen this particular booster box available in Japanese, with a somewhat similar release in Korean. The cards are available in the Legendary Treasures set if you can only get your hands on English cards.
Antonio Allen These boxes were about $25 each plus shipping, so it ended up being a little over $30 total per box. Always check Ami Ami to see if they're in stock before looking anywhere else - the prices are much better than eBay!
@Hachiro Masume Believe it or not, everything you saw in the beginning of this video cost less than $200 total. Japanese booster boxes only cost $25 plus shipping on Ami Ami, the site I buy from. It's a great deal for great cards!
18:10 : I looked on Bulbapedia about the full art you mentioned,and there wasn't any apart from Reshiram and Zekrom. Plus,when I counted,there were 6 secret rares,not 7. :)
When the set list was initially announced, there was a fake Shadow Triad full art floating around the Web as a 100/93 secret rare. It took quite a while to officially disprove, so in my first couple of booster boxes I was hoping to get one.
i doubt that EX's will actually exist in the later sets, because if i recall correctly this is the last Japanese set before the X and Y tcg comes out, so i think that they will either bring back LV.X's or some new rae power-house thing
Wow this set is actually pretty awesome. I remember commenting on the video you posted asking what we thought of the ratios for this set, and i said it looks like they are going to get rid of holos soon. I had no i dea they actually did it lol but i have to say i kind of like it for some reason. And i think the random reverses are my favorite thing about this set haha hope you pull a charizard reverse... That would be awesome
That's correct! The pull rates on those packs are crazy. I'm kinda glad it hasn't become the norm, because it allows those cards to remain special in some way. 'Twas certainly a fun set though!
ok thanks for answering because i wanted to start collecting japanese cards but i didnt know what good sets to start out with. and also, do you think you might return to poketubing becuase i really like ur vids. ok byeee!
I don't know if Mr. Mime would protect your own benched Pokemon from attacks, because technically the damage caused to your benched Pokemon from Excadrill is effect damage, not attack damage. Maybe I'm confused on the differentiation between attack damage and effect damage, but that seems like it would make sense! :P
Amazing cards, what beautiful art styles. I particularly love the Empoleon and the Charmeleon - and the story cards really bring it home. To an aspiring Japanese Pokémon TCG collector, which boxes do you recommend from Ami Ami?
Thanks! AmiAmi unfortunately only has XY booster boxes available now. They recently added back sets like Wild Blaze and Phantom Gate, both of which are fun sets to collect and seem to have good pull ratios. I'm also quite fond of Bandit Ring and Rage of the Broken Sky if they're still in stock.
This set must be near impossible to complete. I mean you only got 3 reverses in one booster box. If that holds true you'd have to get 31 boxes just at a shot to get 93 reverses (which 25%-40% may be duplicates of some).
Yeah, it's really rough, but I only need one more (Snivy) to complete my set. I've opened ten boxes of this set and bought a bunch of reverses from different sources - otherwise I'd never stand a chance. :)
***** There is actually no FA Shadow Triad, or any FA supporters in this set. If you check out bulbapedia, you will find that info. Nice pulls though! :)
Denver S Thank you! Yeah, I found out that the Shadow Triad FA was a hoax a few days after making this video, but at the time it was perceived to be real. That's pretty much the only problem with having your video become a hit - all the older comments get buried. :)
+Lilly Read I've already got a Charizard for my collection - a 1st edition Charizard would be too expensive to warrant me trying to trade for it. Still an awesome card for you to have!
Yeah one time I was thinking that since Plasma Blast was going to be based on plasma pokemon cards so I thought if Arceus EX would appear in a set that I came up with Justice Forces .It includes Arceus EX, Regirock EX, Regice EX, Mesprit EX, and Azelf EX probably .
Thanks a lot! :) I hope you enjoy some of the other sets I've opened. I should be receiving the brand-new Phantom Gate set in the mail next week, so get ready for some Gengar EX madness!
***** Looks great man! Haven't seen these kind of boxes at my local Hobby card store but would love more info on it! I've done some boxes, let me kow what you think.
buy the legendary treasures black and white booster box 15 to 20 ultra rares 10 of them are ex i think i got the box and i got the reshiram secret card
Yeah, those boxes are really great at giving off good cards! I ended up buying ten boxes of EX Battle Boost, and from them I pulled 50 EX, around 35 reverse holos, and four golden full arts. The pulls are better in Legendary Treasures, but the cheap Japanese boxes make it about even. :)
I'm selling the Keldeo EX for $5 and the Meloetta EX (not the full art) for $3. Both are Japanese as I don't collect any English cards. If you're interested, just send me a message on UA-cam!
I can't read Japanese, so it was really important for me to study the cards and their uses before the boxes arrived at my house. I would practice by watching Japanese PokeTubers on mute and naming the cards as they appeared on screen. The extra effort was a huge help!
Thank you! Japanese boxes are a lot less expensive than English boxes. Even when you factor in shipping costs from Japan, you can usually find them for less than half the cost of an English booster box.
Most newer Japanese sets don't actually have non-holo rares. You generally get a holo or better once in every other pack, which is cool because they're half the size of regular packs. The rarity is re-distributed once the set is released in English, making some of the uncommons (and sometimes a few holos) into non-holo rares. EX Battle Boost is an odd exception, because none of the non-holo cards even have rarity symbols in this set.
It's called the "card trick". The potential holo / EX card is in the next to last position in the pack, so by changing the order, it makes the best card the last one to be revealed. Just makes it a little more exciting.
loh k.t. My sleeves at this time were just Ultra Pro penny sleeves that I bought in a bulk lot from eBay. These days, I use KMC Perfect Fit sleeves, which are more expensive but provide a nice, tight fit to protect the cards.
That's no problem at all - they'll go in a sleeve and toploader so I can ship them to you. Email me at wakeruncollapse (at) gmail (dot) com so we can work out the payment and shipping details. Thanks!
Definitely! The Korean booster boxes are cheaper and have 30 packs, but the card quality isn't great and the pull ratio is low. Japanese boxes are a little more expensive, but there's more guaranteed awesomeness inside!
The boxes were $25 each plus shipping on Ami Ami. I bought five boxes, a campaign pack, and a Mewtwo / Genesect half deck for under $200 with the fastest shipping available.
Japanese packs (starting with the BW series) have 5 cards per pack. They are about half the price and have around a 50% chance of pulling a holo or better. These booster boxes only cost around $25 apiece and have great card quality, so it works out very well for me!
All set-based Japanese cards these days are numbered in the bottom righthand corner. If the first number is bigger than the second number, then that card is not part of the official set and is considered a secret rare (SR) or ultra rare (UR).
I've always really liked the style and look of the Japanese cards. They're released earlier (for instance, the new XY5 set comes out next Saturday), the pull rates are really good, and booster boxes like this only cost about $25 apiece plus shipping. Since I don't play the game, I have no use for code cards, and I don't really miss reverse holos (which hardly ever show up in Japanese sets).
***** the reason I don't like them is because I am English plus you are not guaranteed a rare in Japanese packs like you do in English. the Japanese packs also only contain 5 cards per pack and in English you get 10
TJ PRODUCTIONS This is true, but the newer Japanese sets also do not have non-holo rares. So even though you only get one rare in every two packs, that rare is always holographic. There are definitely strengths to collecting English cards, and I'm glad to know people who collect one or the other!
There are twenty packs in each box, with five cards in each pack. As the description says, I buy all new sets from Ami Ami, an English-language Japanese site. You can get them on eBay and other websites, though.
As mentioned in the description, I bought these boxes for about $25 apiece (plus shipping) from a site called Ami Ami, which is now sold out of this particular set.
The best Pokémon cards I have is a hallowed white kyurem. The best looking card is my reversed shaymin. I didn't really use Pokémon cards... until today. Now I really want a big Pokémon booster box. With 36 packets.... yeah.... that would be nice....
I would not buy this though... I'm kinda cheap. Even though I'm richer than all the richest people combined. I'm from space, don't ask... well ask if u want... I mean u can ask, but it's a Lon- yeah, I'm just gonna shut up now.
New Japanese packs almost never have basic Energy cards inside. I actually really like it this way - it removes a little of the clutter from packs and gives you a higher concentration of the good stuff.
I buy all my new Japanese booster boxes on Ami Ami, but you can find them on a bunch of different places online (eBay is a popular place, but is more expensive than Ami Ami).
Thanks! I got these off of Ami Ami, but you can also buy these boxes off of eBay and a few other sites. I haven't bought any of my Japanese stuff in a brick and mortar store since I started collecting!
+DOUBLExCRAZY That sounds like an Ancient Trait Metagross to me - the artwork takes up more of the card, but it's not holographic or embossed. EX Battle Boost packs can be difficult to find, but eBay will occasionally have some these days.
In this particular set, you are guaranteed 5 EX cards per booster box. Most other recent sets have 2-4 EX per box, but they also have regular holos in a bunch of the other packs.
Unbelievable! This is now the most watched Pokemon Japanese booster box opening on UA-cam. Thank you all SO MUCH for your incredible outpouring of support! Onward and upward to half a million views!

The artwork on all of those cards is excellent. The pictures are really busy with a lot going on.
+Anthony Rached I've only seen this particular booster box available in Japanese, with a somewhat similar release in Korean. The cards are available in the Legendary Treasures set if you can only get your hands on English cards.
If anyone has any questions about this set (which became Legendary Treasures in English) or Japanese collecting in general, don't hesitate to ask!
How much did each box cost you, I want to buy a box.
Antonio Allen These boxes were about $25 each plus shipping, so it ended up being a little over $30 total per box. Always check Ami Ami to see if they're in stock before looking anywhere else - the prices are much better than eBay!
Are you gonna do the XY collection box's? There's only one youtuber that's done both.
DolphinOfFire Yes indeed! I've already opened five boxes of X and five boxes of Y on my channel. Feel free to stop by and check them out this weekend!
***** How did you get them in Japaness?
@Hachiro Masume Believe it or not, everything you saw in the beginning of this video cost less than $200 total. Japanese booster boxes only cost $25 plus shipping on Ami Ami, the site I buy from. It's a great deal for great cards!
Amazing sick looking cards;)
It's amazing how quite different the Legendary Collection is from this set LOL
Yeah, the two sets have several distinctions. I think everyone already knows I prefer this one. :)
Ur not kidding. I also prefer this set 100%.
Thoroughly enjoyed this video, earned a sub, good to see a good poketuber that enjoys every second of it
Just The Bootser Packs Made Me Subscribe Nice Tone, Very Caring fOR THESE love em
wow what fantastic art work for a set of cards - and im old school, grew up in the 90's. Gotta appreciate the artwork here though
Yeah, I remember buying a few packs of the older sets at Toys R Us, and the cards have changed so much since then.
18:10 : I looked on Bulbapedia about the full art you mentioned,and there wasn't any apart from Reshiram and Zekrom. Plus,when I counted,there were 6 secret rares,not 7. :)

OK. Would have been cool though.
I just bought one of these and I'm really excited :D and it was only $25 free shipping :)
Very nice - hope you get some amazing cards!
Im most def gonna get a box of this set ive nvr opened a booster box b4 and I LOVE this set

Just so you guys know, on the back of the Natu card, in the distance to the left, you can see Boufalont. Sorry if I misspelled the name.
Yeah, I hadn't noticed that at the time of this video, but after a few days it popped out to me. Nice eye!
Sorry Alex, I don't collect English cards. Thank you for the offer though!
***** Haha duh, how did I not notice that at the time? Thanks. :)

Insane Pulls Man. I'm Surprised that you Pulled 2 Secret Rares in this Box. :)
What black and white Japanese set do you like the most? Like with the best artwork, exes and etc.? I'd really like to know thanks!
nice! looking forward to the mewtwo/genesect openings. lets see one of those goldies!

I thought the Imakuni took place of the Enterprise card...?
I couldn´t solve the guessing game at the start O.o
Arrgh the pull rates in this set! Literally I decided to buy a box of these and I ended up with 2 Shaymin ex, 3 mew ex and a Meloetta ex

Amazing pack! I can see why you were so excited to get those cards. :)
You deseve 1,000,000 Subscribers!
is ex battle boost basically legendary treasures without the Radiant collection cards tucked inside of it?
Correct! The Radiant Collection cards were a separate mini-set in Japan called Shiny Collection.
***** thx
No problem man! Like I said, I'm not 100% on the difference, but yeah.
WakeRunCollapse what would u trade for a first edition charizard?its in good condition its in my card sleeve

when I opened a ancient oregons booster pack I found a full art metagross but it wasnt a EX
+DOUBLExCRAZY That's not a full art. It's an ancient trait.
wakeruncollapse does amiami ship to poland? i checked by i cant find any information for my country only usa.china...
I think they do. They have shipping information listed for Europe in general, so I would imagine they'd ship to Poland.
***** ok thanks
How do u not have a zekrom ex I just started and that was my first card in my second pack ever
Dude, I need that Imakuni, if you pull a double, holler at your boy :p

I am a noob in Pokemon but how do you know the cards so much. It's written in Japanese.
I can't read Japanese, so it was really important for me to study the cards and their uses before the boxes arrived at my house. I would practice by watching Japanese PokeTubers on mute and naming the cards as they appeared on screen. The extra effort was a huge help!
I saw the comment you said about getting 100,000 views then I looked up and as of 4,3,16 you have over 700,000 views that'd awesome
hey are there some cards that you don't want like repeated cards
Awesome Pulls! I wish I could get a box, but I'm not rich.
Thank you! Japanese boxes are a lot less expensive than English boxes. Even when you factor in shipping costs from Japan, you can usually find them for less than half the cost of an English booster box.
So how do these packs work do you get a rare in every pack? I'm pretty sure cabollion is a rare isn't he?
Most newer Japanese sets don't actually have non-holo rares. You generally get a holo or better once in every other pack, which is cool because they're half the size of regular packs. EX Battle Boost is an odd exception, because none of the non-holo cards even have rarity symbols in this set.
why do you move the back card to the front when you open these?
It's called the "card trick". The potential holo / EX card is in the next to last position in the pack, so by changing the order, it makes the best card the last one to be revealed. Just makes it a little more exciting.
***** iight
well if we are running out of legendaries then they could put SuicuneEX, AzelfEX , UxieEX, and MespritEX
hey will you be giving out pokemon packs sometimes mayne
where did you buy the plastic that you put the ex in it
loh k.t. My sleeves at this time were just Ultra Pro penny sleeves that I bought in a bulk lot from eBay. These days, I use KMC Perfect Fit sleeves, which are more expensive but provide a nice, tight fit to protect the cards.

Is it worth buying a Korean or Japanese booster box?
Definitely! The Korean booster boxes are cheaper and have 30 packs, but the card quality isn't great and the pull ratio is low. Japanese boxes are a little more expensive, but there's more guaranteed awesomeness inside!
I ordered a Japanese emerald break boost box, gonna do and unboxing video when I get get it
Nearly 1 Million Views! Just a God! Thx for Defining this Genre. #WakeRunForever
i love your excadrill and reshiramp
Thank you! I'm currently selling my remaining EX cards from this set for $5 apiece. If you're interested, just send me a PM!
Nice art work on cards!
I guess the EXs will be replaced with mega evolution cards :)
Howdid you get those and how much were they( one boxes worth
The boxes were $25 each plus shipping on Ami Ami. I bought five boxes, a campaign pack, and a Mewtwo / Genesect half deck for under $200 with the fastest shipping available.
Cool
6:40 looks like reshirams going to bite his finger
Some might say his hunger is... legendary! (I'll show myself out.)
Yesss finally a non legendary ex we need MORE please !!
Why is there only 5 in each pack? its supposed to be 10...
Japanese packs (starting with the BW series) have 5 cards per pack. They are about half the price and have around a 50% chance of pulling a holo or better. These booster boxes only cost around $25 apiece and have great card quality, so it works out very well for me!
Do u want to trade 12 ex And 1 full art english version for 1 pokemon ex box
how do you tell if your Card is a secret rare
All set-based Japanese cards these days are numbered in the bottom righthand corner. If the first number is bigger than the second number, then that card is not part of the official set and is considered a secret rare (SR) or ultra rare (UR).
thanks that should help
Do you have any Mudkip cards for sale?
and damnnn 5 exs and 2 sr trainers!? sick
how much money did you spend for all of them
Between the 5 boxes, the Mewtwo vs. Genesect half deck, the campaign pack, and express shipping, it was still under $200!
I remember buying a pack for 3 dollars and got a Victini, Mewtwo EX, and a Shaymin EX all in one pack it was the best day of my life
but I should really buy some card sleeves so the cards wont get messed up
Agreed on both points! That's a great pack, but it's important to keep your cards in great condition so you can enjoy them longer!
it does 90 or 50 damage
why do you like the Japanese cards
I've always really liked the style and look of the Japanese cards. They're released earlier (for instance, the new XY5 set comes out next Saturday), the pull rates are really good, and booster boxes like this only cost about $25 apiece plus shipping. Since I don't play the game, I have no use for code cards, and I don't really miss reverse holos (which hardly ever show up in Japanese sets).

TJ PRODUCTIONS
This is true, but the newer Japanese sets also do not have non-holo rares. So even though you only get one rare in every two packs, that rare is always holographic. There are definitely strengths to collecting English cards, and I'm glad to know people who collect one or the other!
***** I understand =)
How much money is a ex battle booster box?
They were around $25-$30 plus shipping when they came out, but since they've gone out of print, the price has risen to $55-$70 (from what I've seen).
How much is there in a whole package
There are twenty packs in each box, with five cards in each pack. As the description says, I buy all new sets from Ami Ami, an English-language Japanese site. You can get them on eBay and other websites, though.
How much do you pay for 1 box and where did you buy it?
As mentioned in the description, I bought these boxes for about $25 apiece (plus shipping) from a site called Ami Ami, which is now sold out of this particular set.
Are you Japanese or did you order it on Ebay?
I'm American, so yes, I had to order it online. I used a site called Ami Ami to purchase these booster boxes, though I've also used eBay in the past.

I buy all my new Japanese booster boxes on Ami Ami, but you can find them on a bunch of different places online (eBay is a popular place, but is more expensive than Ami Ami).
Do u know japanees or u know the names of the cards memorized🤔
He probably memorised it.
Ya

does annyone knows what the deadline to submit code cards is?
lol jeez jjp lurkin in the comments and you, i cant catch a break with these spoilers lol :D
these pokemon cards are cool were do you get it
Thanks! I got these off of Ami Ami, but you can also buy these boxes off of eBay and a few other sites. I haven't bought any of my Japanese stuff in a brick and mortar store since I started collecting!
Pfff... Hahaha baby WRC xD This and your latest EBB video are great :P
I was a fresh-faced 27-year-old when this came out - so long ago! XD
where do I find ex booster packs
+DOUBLExCRAZY That sounds like an Ancient Trait Metagross to me - the artwork takes up more of the card, but it's not holographic or embossed. EX Battle Boost packs can be difficult to find, but eBay will occasionally have some these days.
did anyone see the trainer in plusles artwork i think its red i mean the trainer
Chandelure is my favorite Pokemon, so when they made a ex, I went nuts....
How much did the whole entire set cost?
I paid just under $200 for the five booster boxes, the Mewtwo vs. Genesect half deck, the campaign pack, and express shipping from Japan.
You have dialga ex and virision ex
I do! I pulled them out of my Megalo Cannon booster boxes and have them as a part of my collection.
Cool you inspired me too buy those
Thank you so much
Thanks for watching! I'm really glad you enjoyed this video. You won't be disappointed - they look wonderful in person!
is a ex garenteed every time?
In this particular set, you are guaranteed 5 EX cards per booster box. Most other recent sets have 2-4 EX per box, but they also have regular holos in a bunch of the other packs.
this is a japanise or whatever vers. of the new legendary treasures set
waer did you buy the toy abrya ??????????
