Holy shit, I am actually sitting on the floor of my classroom in tears. I first saw Tim at a small show in my home town of Wollongong 16 years ago. Since then I have seen him nearly 20 times live. This song always gets me, hearing Finneas do it justice was really special.

What a beautiful cover. Its unusual to hear an American singing Aussie slang, like the line about 'the lyrics are dodgy..'. I just heard the Tim Michin cover of Bad Guy, which is also great.
I think "dodgy" is pretty international, not just Aussie.
I kinda like how he got over the mom/sun problem by just taking his foot off the gas a little, it's tasteful.
@@IceMetalPunk Outside Aus, I hear it used occasionally to mean faulty or dishonest. But we use it really commonly in a slang way for anything bad.
