☕️☕️☕️ Looks like what I just had done to my 148 loader. $249.94 and 6 weeks later. Nice how to, if I need to do another cylinder this will be helpful. Vaseline will help a well lubricated cylinder outlast several pistons......😳 Man I would love those metal saw horses! Thanks for taking the time to make this video
Good Morning Ed good video with explanation sure figured that impact would've turned it. I had to borrow a multiplier with pull handle and cheater pipe sure thank for explanation
Jon, the UK Jack of all trades, and you are missing the hydraulic degree?? Oh my🙄😂🤣 Biggest thing is, common sense. I'm sure you would do fine if the need should ever arise. Take care
Good morning Don. It has a few names, we've always called it a bearing scraper. It's a deburring tool, 3sided, so It has 3 sharp edges. Use it a lot on the lathe, for just knocking the sharp edges of a piece. It's very hard material, so it will cut steel much like a lathe tool does.
Very rarely come across a buggered up shaft, but once in a while.. Had good luck with smoothing the rough edges with Emery cloth when we have had one.. the seals don't care if the shaft is perfect, it just has to be smooth. Thank you Jennifer
Nice job going over the basics of a How to DIY rebuild the cylinders. 👍 Take care. 🍻🍻🥃🥃
Thank you Ron, really appreciate it 👍😎🥃🥃🍻🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Very good video Ed, nice explanation of exactly how to!! Thank you very much, may tackle one someday now!! Have a great evening sir!!
Thank you Nelson!!
Lots of different configurations, but still all the same... Swap parts and make sure everything is smooth..

That is impressive what those saw horses are capable of holding. That is amazing
Mr Gary !!
Made 2 sets in the early '80s, Still in use today 👍😎 built truck beds on them, heavy harrow, hay grapples, wheels.. they've been through a lot 👍😎
Good evening Gary.

Good morning Steve ☕☕☕
A little lube always helps... Keeps things from galling from friction 😳
Thanks for sharing! I like your hose caps. They sure would work better than plastic caps!
Thank you Doug! Would have been a mess with plastic caps
Running real late tonight. Had to recover a load of coffee a few hundred miles out of my usual range.
Thanks Ed.
Dang, sounds like you had a MONDAY.... Good to see you got it done 👍😎
Thank you sir. Gives me confidence to save $200
You are welcome! Hopefully it helps! It's not hard, just have to be careful, keep it clean and make sure everything goes back together the right way.
Wow Ed, looks like it’s still going good, great job on cylinder, we used to build a bunch of them
Thanks for sharing with us 👍
Thank you Bubba!!
Always fun playing with them👍😎😂🤣
Good stuff to know. I've always wondered how those things get rebuilt. Maybe I'll tackle my next leaky cylinder myself 🤔👍👍🍻🍻
No reason why you can't, just gotta be careful, clean and use some common sense.. (don't squish the barrel or bugger anything up)

Good morning Gordon ☕☕☕
Ya, thought it would..but😳
Was a full inch of locktite on the threads, it just doesn't like to let go...
Interesting stuff Ed, Never had much to do with hydraulics myself. Haven't a clue about but l have a bit more knowledge now. Top regards!

Good day Ed Interesting video! What is a bearing scrapper? Thanks

Nice that the shaft was not scored.. a seal kit will do the job.

Good how to video
Thank you!
ive never seen a lock screw before
I've seen a few, I've also seen the spiral lock pins, used the same as these screws. Have to pry them out as you twist them.
