Loved this. It even had me singing along with the music choice being a child of the 80's. There were a few butt clenching moments with the narrow highway, bit sharp turns and how close the canyon wall is.
Hi Jay They want to be a top end coach but the management mentality is not based on customers or quality anymore, so I supposed if you want to buy an Entegra they doesn't have major problems it's a bit like going to a casino and putting ALL of your cash on one number. It might win it might not. Hell of a gamble to take. The sad thing is they had just turned the corner and were really starting to get it right.
I'll get a Prevost before any other motor home. I used to have a Jayco trailer a few years ago, and nothing but problems, from day one, too many too mention, and i only paid $20 grand for it, I couldn't imagine spending $5 to $600, 000 on a motor home and having all kinds of problems, I'd shoot somebody, lol
do a longer one like that, someday I'll be doing what you guys are doing... doing research between the class c or the nice A you guys have, what would be for me. I've drove 40 ft straight trucks before so length does not bug me...
Looks like the steering thing is all good, she looked very smooth and effortless.Great vid, felt like I was cruising with y'all.Tell "Carmella"hey! be safe, happy travels
Nice video guys. The lens you used made the inside of your MH look like a pick up truck. lol Love the position of the outside mirrors. Very easy to see.
Thx guys! What a beautiful coach... And couple! So tell us, what have you guys been into lately? How was Vegas and the Elton John show? Did you get lots of footage in Vegas? Where will you guys be for the holidays? I know, lots of questions... But hey, fans want to know these things! ( lol ) Wishing you both Happy Holidays and certainly safe travels. Looking forward......
Now you know what I'm like regarding keeping my RV clean (have you ordered your Spotless yet? as there is $150 off at the moment and 10% of the resin for life). You must use code : GTAR
You don not want the small one, there just isn't enough through put of water (bit like a cheap router for data) you will be so disappointed. You can purchase the large without the trolly which is called: DIW 20
Would like to see a video like this without the sound track so we could get an idea of the noise level inside the coach whilst underway. Also how much you need to dip into the throttle to keep the behemoth rolling.
In one of our earlier videos when we were in the snow we actually used a DB meter so you could see the exact sound level compared to our car doing the same speed.
Hi Glenn, you drove your rig well. I'm sold on the Air Force one and will get it installed after the winter. No more tow dolly for us. Thanks for the ride. Also nice move letting the car get by you.
Looks more like Highway 120 down from Yosemite... No problem for the coach, but the brakes of my tow dolly were at the limit when we did this grade in September...
1:21 Groveland CA (Main Street) Hwy 120 1:49 Old Pries Grade Just to the left. The new road banks to the right... (I lost my brakes going down Old Pries Grade once on the old road and just made it to the bottom where the new road comes in. The old road has a top speed of 25 mph) Its a harsh road for old cars...
No no... just spend a lot of time in that area camping.... I was like??? WAIT!! I've been there and there... Something you never forget... Also... Your web site give most of it away at times... :)
Lot of fun watching your videos. They are well done and the music is great! Any chance you are/have been in the music business? The tracks are well chosen - very enjoyable. Keep them on! By the by I either saw you coming thru Kansas on I-70 some time ago or another Entegra in your paint scheme. Never saw another quite like it. Distinctive and all - bright and "cheerie'.
Good driving.. The coach looks a breeze to drive. Almost easier than a car! is your Tag axle a steering one? Just wondering? Just wonder how big the off tracking is. Also I see, or think I see, a TPMS system on your coach! looks like an EezTire TPMS
I notice the steering wheel is turn slightly to the right when going straight down the road. I assume this is before you got the steering problem fixed. since you have the steering fixed I would like to see the position of the steering wheel before and after. thanks
This is what Colorado, Wyoming, Montana and Utah are all about. Lot's of 6% grades and more. Some in Wyoming never flatten out. Buffalo, WY you go 10 miles downhill all kinds of Runaway Truck exits. Wolf Creek in Colorado steep as well. Our new Newmar has 3 stage jake huge difference versus old Monaco with an exhaust brake. Safe travels!
AHHH I see your catch and release steering wheel technique this reminds me of my dad. Does the RV GPS works good because I see you are drive through narrow roads?
Freeking fantastic video , i have followed you since day one and this the very best video you have done , just wondering what camera rig have you used that it kind of moves with you in the curves and everything...
Great Video! As a new RV owner I have been watching a lot of your videos. I appreciate all the information you are passing on. Have a simple question though. How did you get the Mapping to show up on the upper TV?
Hi Stephen, I would image that the infotainment system is the same, you should be able to set the video output to the home system. So if you have a built in DVD player on this unit and you are able to play a DVD on the front screen then it should be possible. It a bit of trial & error but worth it as I don't have to keep putting on my glasses every time I want to read something on the screen. Did you dealer not explain how too do this?
Awesome road! Where is at? I am always looking for good roads to travel on with my Harley. Love scrapin the floorboards, even at 66. By the way, how do you post the videos with all the music? Every time I try the video gets rejected.
As much as I like the music you always use, I would have preferred to hear the ambient cabin (and engine) sounds and your conversation ... just would have been a bit more interesting (like an added layer of originality) :-)
I did try to add this but the trouble with the lapel mic is that if it's not on a lapel you can't really hear too much, I'm working on improving the sound where we can both have a lapel mic
I guess I just assumed that you used a GoPro but in fact, I'm not sure what type of camera you used in this application. The GoPro audio is really bad, but in a fairly quiet environment, it does pick up voices ok :-)
The trouble is I don't want the background drone, I'll get this sorted out for next year, just need to buy a few gadgets over christmas for myself from santa
Yes the comfort steel makes a massive difference, that said I'll be adding a Safe -t-Plus next week and they say that improves the steering no end, so watch this space as I'll be doing a video feature on this.
It's great nonetheless. BTW, how do you project the GPS display up on the TV? Did you rig that up yourself or does the Entegra come set up that way. I was thinking of trying to project my iPhone's nav app on that screen if I couldn't connect the Garmin.
Was this filmed prior to the brace being placed on the tow hitch, as it appears that in a straight line you are still moving the steering wheel frequently to maintain that straight line?
No afterwards ! The steering is (I'm told) as good as it gets. Yes you're right (I know what you are thinking) I'm still not happy) but just want to get on enjoying it
Glen, seems the steering wheel is straight with the roadway. Big improvement from Florida keys drive. Always have some steering wheel movement being the coach is so long. Cheers...
Hi Jay or is it Dee ? We are fulltimers when we are there but do go back to France every 3 months, We are actually back in France at the moment and we be back on the 13th Jan 2017. I have a few youtube videos in stock so don't panic I'll drip feed these and you won't even notice we're not there
Would have been nice to NOT have the music so one could tell how quite the coach was while going down the road , Maybe its not that quite that is why the noise
Geez Joe it's possible to watch on mobile/tablet if you watch via the website great-escape.us/video-diary-2/ That will save you having to go downstairs. Hope this helps.
There are very few that even think about quality mixing of sound and video, great job. Hope to see you on the road one day.
Loved this. It even had me singing along with the music choice being a child of the 80's. There were a few butt clenching moments with the narrow highway, bit sharp turns and how close the canyon wall is.
The singing along is allowed if you are over a certain age, but don't let your kids hear you...
Dude you picked the perfect song to play for this drive. My wife and I love it and your coach.
Yes, we like our coach now, but for several months we hated the bloody thing due to all the constant problems
And Entegra is suppose to be one of the finest coaches! I will go back and see what problems you had.
Hi Jay
They want to be a top end coach but the management mentality is not based on customers or quality anymore, so I supposed if you want to buy an Entegra they doesn't have major problems it's a bit like going to a casino and putting ALL of your cash on one number. Yes I love driving my Rv, that big front window just lets you see so much more!
agree
do a longer one like that, someday I'll be doing what you guys are doing... doing research between the class c or the nice A you guys have, what would be for me. I've drove 40 ft straight trucks before so length does not bug me...
The bigger the better
👍🇺🇲
excellent, all your videos are brilliant but I really like this one... you guys keep on rolling.
I'll make some more of us traveling down the road
Man that choice in tunes are the greatest. Sounds like I am off retirement back in my Balfour Beatty office LOL
I like the view, great job showing curtsy letting the car pull around.
keep the rubber on the road
That's the way I was taught to drive a commercial vehicle
Looks like the steering thing is all good, she looked very smooth and effortless.Great vid, felt like I was cruising with y'all.Tell "Carmella"hey! be safe, happy travels
Cheers for that
Great road footage. Good tunes as always!
Cheers for that
Beautiful drive...take your time...it is so much better to stop and smell the roses..:). Thanks for sharing.
Yep I totally agree
Enjoyed the music but I was wondering how loud the bus is while traveling.
Nice video guys. The lens you used made the inside of your MH look like a pick up truck. lol Love the position of the outside mirrors. Very easy to see.
Yes, I like to see how well I'm driving by looking at the white line on the passenger side
Sorry to hear that, I hope you have a safe and happy holiday season. I can't blame you for wanting to enjoy the trip.
This trip has been the best so far without any major problems
We are heading back to France tomorrow for Christmas, and then back mod January for Quartsite
That thing handles like it had a 97inch wheel base either that or you got 6 wheel steer. Looks like you had some fun. Enjoyable!
NO I'm just a good driver.
Yeah I could tell, definitely not your first rodeo!
That windshield is just plain filthy! Wonder what the front of that dirty bus looks like?? :) Kidding! Miss you guys lol - Erik & Kala
Now you know what I'm like regarding keeping my RV clean (have you ordered your Spotless yet? as there is $150 off at the moment and 10% of the resin for life). You must use code : GTAR
Excellent! I want the smaller one which i'm going to try and make fixed mount. Any draw backs to the smaller unit?
You don not want the small one, there just isn't enough through put of water (bit like a cheap router for data) you will be so disappointed. You can purchase the large without the trolly which is called: DIW 20

In one of our earlier videos when we were in the snow we actually used a DB meter so you could see the exact sound level compared to our car doing the same speed.
do you have the same video without the music during the drive. im interested in hearing how it drives
those down hill roadway reminds me of the Kicking Horse pass and rogers pass Field BC to Revelstoke BC not a nice place in winter :)
Steve Wiinwood . What a befitting song . He was really great when he sang with Traffic in the 60s .
Nice job navigating those curves!
Drive safe😎
I've always been good navigating curves, I'm pretty good at driving as well !
Great Escape 😎
Hi Glenn, you drove your rig well. I'm sold on the Air Force one and will get it installed after the winter. No more tow dolly for us. Thanks for the ride. Also nice move letting the car get by you.
You know you'll thank me for it. There is a link on our amazon store for this : great-escape.us/amazon-store/
Thanks for the link..
Spectacular this motorhome this is a real suite. Very nice also the video driving, it seems to travel really, inside your motorhome.
Now you don't need to buy one, you can just share ours
Looks more like Highway 120 down from Yosemite... No problem for the coach, but the brakes of my tow dolly were at the limit when we did this grade in September...
That's why you need to get rid of that dolly and get your self a airforce proportional breaking system
1:21 Groveland CA (Main Street) Hwy 120
1:49 Old Pries Grade Just to the left. The new road banks to the right...
(I lost my brakes going down Old Pries Grade once on the old road and just made it to the bottom where the new road comes in. The old road has a top speed of 25 mph)
Its a harsh road for old cars...
Are you a detective ????
No no... just spend a lot of time in that area camping.... I was like??? WAIT!! I've been there and there... Something you never forget...
Also... Your web site give most of it away at times... :)
It was a very nice drive. I can't wait to get my vehicle next year...... Steve
The waiting will kill you !!!
ARE WE THERE YET !!
It did feel a bit like that.
Awesome road trip video! Cant wait to get one. Thank you.!!
Hi Craig, Are you in the market for one?
Lot of fun watching your videos. They are well done and the music is great!
Any chance you are/have been in the music business? The tracks are well chosen - very enjoyable. Keep them on!
By the by I either saw you coming thru Kansas on I-70 some time ago or another Entegra in your paint scheme.
Never saw another quite like it. Distinctive and all - bright and "cheerie'.
An interesting perspective and some beautiful scenery.
Great video, fantastic song! New subscriber, thank you!
Good driving.. The coach looks a breeze to drive. Almost easier than a car!
is your Tag axle a steering one? Just wondering?
Just wonder how big the off tracking is.
Also I see, or think I see, a TPMS system on your coach! looks like an EezTire TPMS
We don't have the steerable tag as this was only available on the 2017 models. It drives very well and is extremely quite
Awesome thanks.
Glad to know. Some other vlogs record all sorts of squeaks and rattles. I never hear anything like that from your vlogs.
I like this, viewing the normal activities of everyday RV life....
We are as normal as they come !
I notice the steering wheel is turn slightly to the right when going straight down the road. I assume this is before you got the steering problem fixed. since you have the steering fixed I would like to see the position of the steering wheel before and after. thanks
this reminds me of driving Hwy #120 down from Yosemite ------ SCARY.
That's exsactly whee we were
Great view. What is the floorplan? What is the length? Is it safe to drive on mountain road at the RV length?
Can you do a video in how to view the GPS on the TV. That`s awesome ! Thanks
Do you have an Entegra ?
No, I don`t
This is what Colorado, Wyoming, Montana and Utah are all about. Lot's of 6% grades and more. Some in Wyoming never flatten out. Buffalo, WY you go 10 miles downhill all kinds of Runaway Truck exits. Wolf Creek in Colorado steep as well. Our new Newmar has 3 stage jake huge difference versus old Monaco with an exhaust brake. Safe travels!
You should try driving around the French Alps !!!!!
Thank you for your Great Videos
AHHH I see your catch and release steering wheel technique this reminds me of my dad. Does the RV GPS works good because I see you are drive through narrow roads?
Yes the GPS isn't that bad, it does sometimes take you on a wild goose chase, but on the whole not bad.
Freeking fantastic video , i have followed you since day one and this the very best video you have done , just wondering what camera rig have you used that it kind of moves with you in the curves and everything...
Hi Jose
Wow I'm amazed that everyone likes this one so much, I literally threw this together with not much editing at all. I must be a natural
Loved this.
Anthem fuel consumption?
Show some more videos like this
Just filmed one today
Great Video! As a new RV owner I have been watching a lot of your videos. I appreciate all the information you are passing on. Have a simple question though. How did you get the Mapping to show up on the upper TV?
Do you have an Entegra Rv or a different brand?
We have a 2017 Berkshire 38A BH. Thanks
Hi Stephen, I would image that the infotainment system is the same, you should be able to set the video output to the home system. Hi Michael, have a look at the comments above as : Lankster Price: has kindly details the roads we were on
As much as I like the music you always use, I would have preferred to hear the ambient cabin (and engine) sounds and your conversation ... just would have been a bit more interesting (like an added layer of originality) :-)

So you've been a good boy ? LOL
Always
Great video, really enjoy it ! Thanks for sharing
It's a pleasure
Having the phone showing the video from the camera as it captured is a bit meta.
Sorry, can't understand what you mean?
@@GreatEscape24 I just thought it was funny that I could see the video being captured in real time on your phone.
I want to hear the coach, not a soundtrack, thanks
Have you ever driven a Newmar with "comfort drive" I was wondering if there is a huge difference?
Yes the comfort steel makes a massive difference, that said I'll be adding a Safe -t-Plus next week and they say that improves the steering no end, so watch this space as I'll be doing a video feature on this.
Awesome drive! Actually seeing someone courteous enough to use a pull-off and let the cars go by renews my soul! Karma points for you.
It's just the way I was taught to drive commercially in the UK
It's great nonetheless. BTW, how do you project the GPS display up on the TV? Did you rig that up yourself or does the Entegra come set up that way. I was thinking of trying to project my iPhone's nav app on that screen if I couldn't connect the Garmin.
How much does it cost to fill up one of these?
thank you guys, that was cool
Thanks (as always ) Dave
The video isn't working for me either :(
Try viewing from the video link on our website

Love your videos, and appreciate all the information tips, you provide. Are you full time,or going back to EU. soon? Doubleeagle

Can't hear noise levels. Music instead
I love this vid. what a blast !
Thanks for the ride.....
I would have preferred to listen to the road noise from inside the cab, to get a better feel of what it's like to drive this type of RV.
You are the only person out of the 11,117 views that have said this !!
I wanted to hear the road noises. Lots of views - congratulations
The trouble with just the road noise is that the video becomes boring, a 2 minutes feels like 20 minutes , so the music holds it together.
J Stansbury Another video shows how much noise in the cab at 60 mph. It was 50 Db. Very quiet !
I played the music for ya cause the coach is so Noisy while driving
It's saying video not available gutted 😪
Are you outside of the US? Try viewing via our website
Great Escape thanx I'll try that and yes I'm uk
I am outside USA and no issues here!
Am a traveler coast to coast I always wanted to.hv own rv coach bus and travel and love u got traveling music ohyeah
I noted the class C that was on the line when you came around the corner.. road hog.. 5:14
I said a few more things that road hog
Would have preferred to hear actual sound not a sound track.
Would have been nice to NOT have the music so one could tell how quite the coach was while going down the road , Maybe its not that quite that is why the noise
You can please some of the people some of the time but you can't please all of the people all of the time!
Nice!!
Cheers Jim
great drive210
Y'all know Steve winwood almost were the signer for led zepplin
