I remember when people would always say that drake sucks and he’s not good because he has/had ghostwriters, but they would have no knowledge of insides of it
love the transition to youtube you’re the best creator when it comes to terms of being informative while still having your own opinions and personality too can’t wait for what’s next
well he wrote songs for people like Justin Bieber, John Legend, and Beyoncé not really any hip hop artists. but Frank Ocean definitely deserves his flowers for his writing.
I didnt know violent crimes was ghostwritten up until like 2020, and it ruined my perception of the track. It is still absolutely gorgeous and one of my all time favorite's by Ye but it took away a lot of the appeal
They take beats or samples and those people will get writing credit as well. A lot of Eminem and Kendrick have those writing credits but everything they be rapping is something they wrote.
@@Suztvfan Actually you right! I thought more about this after. But I do wonder if some of them are written. It's not completely clear. So just looking at credits doesn't really give us enough details.
I personally don’t care whether or not it’s a deep, personal song, or a pop-rap song, If you are a rapper who uses a ghost writer that is WACK. that defeats the entire purpose of rapping in my opinion: being able to come up with the rhymes and lyrics yourself. I see it as equivalent to a comedian telling jokes someone else wrote for them: they aren’t the funny/clever one, the writer is.
THANK YOU!!! You’re the only person that understands the concept of a ghost writer. Just cause you’re credited doesn’t mean you’re not a ghost. Quentin Miller was credited the whole time and nobody knew he wrote for drake till meek said it and the album was out a whole 3-4 months before meek tweeted it.

A ghostwriter is like a paralegal and the performer is like a lawyer. The paralegal gives the lawyer some information and the lawyer performs in court
I love this video.

What about all the song writer credits on Kendrick and Eminems albums?
Go look up "Sing About Me, Im Dying Of Thirst". What about all those writers listed. I don't hear any other lyrics from a sample
