I had the SuperCollider download page on hold and checked about youtube for signs that I should or should NOT download it. Then I found this video, and I've now downloaded SuperCollider. ...And while writing this comment I started hearing your performance... Too bad that I already liked the video
this tutorial is very impressive yet motivating. can't believe i'll ever code in SC, but really enjoed a video. the best part: i hear real and cool music when others show only mess of abstract noises. thank you!
Hi John, the live performance is really just an example of what's possible, but it takes some time to get to that skill level. I would recommend following Eli Fieldsteel's YT channel, he has some amazing tutorials from beginner to advanced level.
@@Nyokee Thanks for the quick reply ! I'm pretty involved with SC and am at a reasonably advanced level already, and I was impressed by the sounds that he made in that portion of the video and wanted to see specifically how it was done. I know he's generally pretty good with sharing ideas, so I was hoping that a copy of that code existed somewhere. If not, I'll try to piece it together from what's shown on screen..
this is a great tutorial ! i subbed to your and his channel and will share to my massive following ONE HUNDRED AND NINTEY PEOPLE! all over the world, prepare to watch the channel grow!

Thanks so much. Eli is fantastic, I agree, the real magic happens when people use these kind of tools to make genuinely catchy music!
Thank you both for this! That was super interesting, and I'll surely give it a shot!
Thanks! Hope it goes well 😎
@@Nyokee Thanks! I hope so too! I'm an "old man", but with coding experience, so I think it will be okay. :)
Great video, thanks a lot! 😃
Thanks so much! such a very helpful video!
I have zero coding experience but already thinking of a way to build this into my eurorack
That's really cool, hope you make some fun discoveries along the way :)
so dope
Could you please share the drones wav file?
Sorry I cannot but you could experiment with any audio really!
There's such a huge jump in complexity between the live performance and the introductory code - is the live performance code shared anywhere ?

@@johnmurphy4781 I see! I don't have a copy of that code, but it might be worth reaching out to him, maybe he's willing to share!
@@Nyokee Thanks! I actually reached out to him and he gave it to me for review. Thank you for posting the video!
@@johnmurphy4781 Ah, glad to hear that!
Such a cool video wow
Thanks so much :)

😆Thank you so much!!
Is this endorsed by Eli or is simply a re-upload of one of his tutorials?
Endorsed - he specifically filmed this for the channel / book.
