Ah yes, let's introduce casual drinking to six year olds and show how they make people feel loved and huggy. Also sugar, berries and water can still ferment. It's not like there's any added ingredients that make wine something different the old recipe is just grapes, water and either herbs or spices to increase the sugar content a bit.
@@BabyLionTurtle True, the story was meant to be for introductory reading. Not sure how well it would've gone if they included them drinking more and a hangover in the morning. Still funny though.
I don't drink alcohol so I don't really know anything about it but how would it be wine. You need to have alcohol to make a drink alcohol, you don't just make wine by mixing grapes, sugar, and water together.
@@vengeance1450 You obviously don't know how beer or wine is made. So! the scientific explanation for alcohol is made through a process called fermentation, essentially the cell needs energy from a thing called ATP it's like the currency it uses to move around and do stuff. So it goes through this thing called glycolysis and Krebs cycle, which are just the names of the production lines that make it. The thing is if you starve the cells from oxygen instead of producing more ATP it breaks down sugars instead and produces ethanol alcohol. The simpler explanation is that wine is made by placing wine grapes, water, sugar, some herbs, and spices into large barrels and set to starve from oxygen for years before cracking open. During that time the wine slowly eats at the sugars and turns them into alcohol. The same process is used for making beer but with wheat, barley, and hops instead of grapes and fruit. I've actually made my own plumb wine and my parents make their own beer every year with the hops they grow in the backyard.
