Good to hear Philly say that he realises that people will wait for the video and that is very true. What's worth having is worth wayiting for. Hi Philly and Keely. Wow Tasmania gets more and more spectacular. Those drone shots were incredible. Can’t believe you’ve been in Oz for nearly 6 months 🥰 Take care. Nick

You live in a beautiful place 😊
Tassie is just gorgeous!! Love that you're taking us along with you on your journeys. We're from Victoria but visited Tassie twice in the last 6 months. As animal lovers (and both vegan too) we were there to enjoy the wildlife and what we saw was just beautiful. We even saw Platypus!! I know what you mean about wanting to see live animals though!! We were really upset seeing so many animals that had been killed on the roads. Nearest to the Tasman Peninsula was the worst! Too many people driving at night!! The Pademelons seemed to be very nocturnal as we only ever saw one very late at night on a rural property we stayed at in the Tamar Valley (nice & safe away from the roads!!). Looking forward to seeing where you go next on your trip! 😀 ~ Karen & Nimal
It’s more the fact that nearly 50% of Tasmania is reserves, national parks and other green spaces. More green = more animals = more road kill. No more people driving at night here than anywhere else, except maybe during tourist season.
@@Amanda-uc5jq well I hope it was just because it was summer school holidays when we were there last time. We see animals killed on the roads here in Victoria too but the number of Pademelons killed on the roads around the Tasman Peninsula when we were there was horrific. Further up the east coast it wasn't as bad. It just made our trip to Tassie a bit depressing really as our reason for our trip was to admire the wildlife. We also drove only during the day and we drove slower than the speed limit to ensure we didn't hurt anything but what we did notice was way less mammals viewed during the day than we have in Victoria. The only Pademelon we saw appeared when it was quite late in the evening so I imagine many people from other states may not realise how nocturnal these mammals are compared to what we see on the mainland. There are also no wildlife fences to avoid encounters on the road (we have those here on a few of our main highways to avoid wildlife collision.. .actually not enough!!).
@@naturephotographychallenge unfortunately it’s not due to school holidays, as I said more green wild spaces = more road kill, most animals in Tassie are also quite small compared to the mainland so harder to see. My property is covered in paddymelons, different types of wallabies & more recently kangaroos, wombats, echidnas, tas devils, quolls, bandicoots, turbo chooks, possums, birds, even the odd deer and many more. On the property I had on the mainland I only really saw kangaroos, the very odd echidna, snakes and birds & that property was twice the size of the one I have here. @@Amanda-uc5jq Your property must be beautiful! I wish we had seen that much wildlife when we were there. You're so lucky!! 😊 I hope that the govt can eventually see the damage that is caused on the roads & puts in place some kind of road barriers to help lower the road toll.

I never knew that I needed to go to Tasmania but now I know that because of you. It is so beautiful and I really am loving the videos. Thank you for sharing! Love you both. Tennessee, USA.
The bridge you crossed in Hobart was hit by a ship in 1975. It took a complete section out of the bridge, 7 crew members on the boat were killed and 4 cars plunged into the Derwent River killing another 5 people and 2 cars managed to stop right on the edge with both set of front wheels hanging over the gap. It effectively cut Hobart in half, the army built a temporary bridge further north and it was nearly 4 years before the bridge reopened. Love your work ❤
I love seeing Tassie through your eyes, we really are lucky down here. ❤ I fell in love with Tassie when I was 15, moved here when I was 47, still have so much to explore.
Glad you enjoyed my home state!!! Come back any time!! I live near Penguin in the NW. Yes, its an amazing place..glad I live here. Recently revisited the mainland to see family, and couldnt get over the traffic. Its so much easier to drive straight to your destination here.
We had family commitments in spring so would always only be there for six months and I think New Zealand needs a whole trip dedicated, it's one of our bucket list destinations ❤️❤️ we want to come back and do it right 💪💪
30:30 we have heaps! Next time go to Maria island and you will see so many wild wombats- or go for a bush walk- you just need to look in the right places xx

Hiya kiddos!! Tasmania is sooo beautiful! I would have never known! Thank you for taking us along. You know Philly is serious about the climbing when his hair goes in a bun 😂. For as much as Keely says she doesn’t like hikes there was a lot of hiking going on in this vid! Hard to believe your six months are almost up 😮! That went so fast!! (There is ALWAYS hummus in my fridge.) Favorite hot dog toppings sauerkraut and mustard… and maybe ketchup. If sauerkraut isn’t available I’ll do mustard ketchup and onions… maybe sweet relish. As always your vids are so entertaining. Thank you for taking us along. Just being yourselves is very entertaining. I hope you’re having a good week. Wishing you the best traveling luck from Southern California🌴
ya'll are blessed to be there. As I was on a road trip through the Texas hill country totally in awe of the spring flower showcase I thought of what you might share and I was not expecting such beauty. Wow!! Thanks so much for sharing!!! Love you both soo much!!!
Great to see you having such a nice time. I had absolutely no idea what Tasmania was like before watching your videos, always assumed it was a jungle like Madagascar for some reason! Those grey shorts are becoming the new blue dress or purple jumper!!!
Wow Slow Morning's the video skills are out of this world, changing focus during a clip. Your adventures are amazing and the area breath taking. I love every video.
Another Awesome video guys! Makes me want to go back to Tasmania and check out some of the places you visited. When I was there decades ago, my wife at the time and I stayed in Grand Chancellor Hotel in Hobart , drank way too much at the Casino and met with some guy that said he wrote all the Premier of Tasmania's speeches. That may have been true, but he may also have been a delusional drunk, taking advantage of two Melbournians who didn't know better 😅 We stopped at a cafe on the way to an historic prison and were so consumed by the wine and views of people in the fishing village catching fish, we never made it to that tourist spot. We did see some Tasmanian devils and kangaroos at a zoo and we got to be served Champagne by Richard Branson on the plane over, oh and we did go to the fascinating Salamanca market, all amazing memories, but very different to the swimming at every beach you guys acome across as we went in winter. Keep having fun guys! 😃😄😆😂
@@phillyandkeely Yeah it's great to have memories like that to look back on, as I don't travel as much these days. One day you guys will look back on your adventures and smile while remembering all the good times you had together, or maybe you'll just keep having them ✌️👍👏👏😀😀😀
22:50 as a kid we'd walk through the Remarkable Cave at low tide and back then there was small beach but I was there back in 2022 and it appears that little beach has been washed away and only rocks remain. Back in 2000 I was going to do a van journey around New Zealand, but it never happened...
@@phillyandkeely Sadly I can't see it happening now... Life has moved on and I'm not as well off health wise so I just like to watch other people adventures! Should you ever make it back to Hobart I'd certainly like to see you both over a coffee or three!

😂😂😂
Kinda on Philly's side on the whole edge thing. 😆 In view of the edge? Sure. Next to the edge? Oooo, exciting! /On/ the edge?? Eeerrrmmm... 😬😬😬
The ten seconds beginning at 5:47 are highly relatable! And no oysters slapped. Top marks.
What did Sushi A say to Sushi B? "Wussup, B!"
Youse weren't exaggerating, your Tasmania footage is amazing!! 😱🤯😲😍🌊🌊🌊 The blowhole might have been easier to find at high tide, you guys can't be blamed for walking past.
33:47 - I do love a good Belt of Venus display! 😍🤩😍
❤️❤️✌️😎xx
Thanks so much Aaron! No oysters slapped 😂😂 honestly so beautiful isn't it!! And I love your wasabi joke hahaha
You newer regret a swim. Only in a lightning storm.⚡
😂😂 very true Martin!
32:50 blink and you'll miss it eye roll from keely. Highlight of video😂
@@sera2775 🤣🤣🤣
I never knew that I needed to go to Tasmania but now I know that because of you. It is so beautiful and I really am loving the videos. Thank you for sharing! Love you both. Tennessee, USA.
Thanks so much 🥰🥰 yeah it really is so incredibly beautiful
The bridge you crossed in Hobart was hit by a ship in 1975. It took a complete section out of the bridge, 7 crew members on the boat were killed and 4 cars plunged into the Derwent River killing another 5 people and 2 cars managed to stop right on the edge with both set of front wheels hanging over the gap. It effectively cut Hobart in half, the army built a temporary bridge further north and it was nearly 4 years before the bridge reopened. Love your work ❤
Wow that's an insane piece of history to find out! So interesting
There are places I will never ever get to, but I feel as though I’m there with you while watching your journey ❤ THANK YOU
Love you guys xx
Thanks so much Karen 🥰🥰 happy to have you along. Us
Omg. Absolutely stunning. I have no other words ❤❤
❤️🥰
I love seeing Tassie through your eyes, we really are lucky down here. ❤
I fell in love with Tassie when I was 15, moved here when I was 47, still have so much to explore.
It's sooooo special 🥰🥰🥰
You two are so cute and your video on Tassie is awesome , thank you !
Thanks Louisa ❤️❤️
Glad you enjoyed my home state!!! Come back any time!! I live near Penguin in the NW. Yes, its an amazing place..glad I live here. Recently revisited the mainland to see family, and couldnt get over the traffic. Its so much easier to drive straight to your destination here.
Thanks Susan ❤️🙏 penguin was a lovely area, yeah Tassie has a lot less cars on the road.
That beach shot at 15:08 is a stunner! Also, what's your excuse for not hopping the ditch over to New Zealand? Next time maybe...
We had family commitments in spring so would always only be there for six months and I think New Zealand needs a whole trip dedicated, it's one of our bucket list destinations ❤️❤️ we want to come back and do it right 💪💪
I recently found you guys but keeping going back to watch old videos for Keely’s laugh. It’s infectious 😆
Haha, glad you enjoy my laugh 😂
😄 coffee time 🌊🌊🌊
🥰🥰
30:30 we have heaps! Next time go to Maria island and you will see so many wild wombats- or go for a bush walk- you just need to look in the right places xx
Ok next time we are back in Tassie we will defo go Maria 🥰🥰
@@phillyandkeely ❤️
omg you two crack me up. I was eating breakfast when you hit the wall Keely...I nearly choked. I had gathered myself, then Phily said "where's yr golf clubs"😂. Fantastic as always you beautiful souls ❤
😂😂😂 thanks so much Karen, glad we gave you a giggle
Just came upon your video, from a Tasmanian we do live in a beautiful place .
Also, did you do Port Arthur
Yeah ❤️ we did
Such a beautiful place, you are lucky to call it home Teresa ❤️
Thanks for sharing such beautiful scenery it’s lovely to see you both really enjoying and appreciating your environment. Humorous as usual always making me smile. Have a good week guys ❤
Thanks so much 🥰🥰
I’ve loved following your adventures. I’ve only got 5 days left before I’m back on the mainland after 4.5 months. It’s been so beautiful and I’m already planning my next visit. thankyou for your enthusiasm. I’ve loved it. ❤
Oh wow ranee, 4.5 months would be incredible. Five weeks is definitely not enough, but so glad we've managed to capture some of its beauty to share with people 🥰🥰
Hiya kiddos!!
Thanks so much Carina ❤️❤️ ooo those toppings sound yum, I don't think I've ever had saurkraut 😂 it's went so fast hasn't it!!
This probably the closest i will every get see Tasmania..So Thanks
This is Beautiful 💙
Thanks so much Janel ❤️ so glad we could bring you along with us 🥰
ya'll are blessed to be there. As I was on a road trip through the Texas hill country totally in awe of the spring flower showcase I thought of what you might share and I was not expecting such beauty. Wow!! Thanks so much for sharing!!! Love you both soo much!!!
Awww thanks so much ❤️❤️ I'm sure it's so beautiful in spring where you are!
Certainly worth the week’s wait guys. Tasmania has some spectacular sights. Thank you so much for sharing your experiences.
Thanks so much Ian ❤️❤️
Great to see you having such a nice time. I had absolutely no idea what Tasmania was like before watching your videos, always assumed it was a jungle like Madagascar for some reason! Those grey shorts are becoming the new blue dress or purple jumper!!!
😂😂😂 they defo are! The thought of putting leggings on 🤯 let the legs breath while the sun is out 🤪☀️
Wow Slow Morning's the video skills are out of this world, changing focus during a clip. Your adventures are amazing and the area breath taking. I love every video.
Thankyou so much for noticing!!!! We put alot of love into our videos, so means the world when people notice ❤️❤️
Wow they sound like very amazing memories 🥰🥰 love those stories!!
I hope some day your road trip happens for you in NZ ❤️ that's so interesting that there used to be a beach there!
@@phillyandkeely Sadly I can't see it happening now... Life has moved on and I'm not as well off health wise so I just like to watch other people adventures! Should you ever make it back to Hobart I'd certainly like to see you both over a coffee or three!
Thanks Scott we appreciate that, and happy you can live vicariously through videos like ours ❤️❤️
I am a proud Tasmanian - it is such a beautiful state. I hope you have time to visit Bruny Island, Coles Bay, Boat Harbour and the Gorge in Launceston - so many beautiful places.
Thanks Wendy! Such a beautiful place, too many places to visit, need at least six months here 😂😂
I hope you got to see the tessellated pavement down Pirates bay way. It is a fascinating natural rock feature on the waters edge and you can walk across it. It is one of our fav places to visit on the weekends in summer.
Sounds beautiful 😍 I seen about it online, reminded me of the giants causeway in Ireland ❤️
