I like very much the toughpads. I love that design. But i think that Panasonic will be lucky if sell 10 pads with such overpricing. Do i like weater sealing and water resistant absolutely but know what i can submerge asus zenfone in the river and buy another one and still will not spend that much money. If the rumors are correct that the price of toughpad 5 inch models will be 1500+ usd then i will choose nvidia shield tablet/nexus 7 2nd or one of the countless models of the competitors. I can buy strong rugged case for ANY phone/tablet for 100$ and will hold way much more damage than rugged tougpad without case. Right now competitors offer tablets/phones with pretty much same specs/if not better/ for 400$ barcode scanners are useless for the average user.
Anything above 400$ will make tough products inadequate on the market. Heavy bulky brick for 4 times more money ;)
