That was fun, but how about finding English-speakers from different countries? Here in South Africa we have 11 official languages, but English is used pretty universally in the cities. Most people here, if they can speak English (a large percentage do), speak it with an accent characteristic of their own language group. Most times I can understand it well, but sometimes I'm absolutely stumped! By the way, we also have more East Indians here than anywhere else in the world, apart from India of course. Most Indian South Africans speak English at home, but they too have a characteristic accent fairly similar to Indians from India.
I'm Catalan, but I also speak Spanish, English, Italian and Portuguese. And I'm quite good at accents, I don't have a perfect native English accent (which actually leans more towards the American), but you couldn't guess where I'm from 'cause of my accent. Best regards from Barcelona!
I've frequented Spain more times than I can count, and have been learning Spanish for nearly half of my life. I'm pretty sure I could pinpoint a Barcelona accent no trouble at all. If you sound like a female Gerard Piqué, you're Catalan.
@@EnglishLad Well, I'm Catalan, born in Barcelona city and I live in a town located in Barcelona's province. There, we speak the Central Catalan dialect, but my county shares the border with the Girona's province, where they speak the Oriental Catalan dialect, which influences my Catalan accent, so my accent would be sort of the Oriental-Central. And why I'm telling you this? 'Cause I'm one of those people that has a strong Catalan accent when I speak Spanish, that one I do have, so you could definitely guess where I'm from 'cause of my Spanish accent: a mile away without any doubt 😅. But, it isn't that easy with English, Italian and Portuguese. I'm good at getting the accent. Being Spanish the exception. I'm incapable of making any Spanish accent. The worst one, the hardest one for me to do, that my sister laughs each time I try, is the Andalusian Accent. And we do have two Andalusian great-grandmas, so we inherited some stuff. My sister ans I don't look alike, we joke that I inherited the Andalusian stuff on the outside, with the way I look and my sister in the inside, 'cause of the way she talks for instance. You couldn't guess that my sister is Catalan 'cause of her accent. Lots of times people don't believe that Catalan is her mother tongue, until they meet me instance and then they say, ok, makes sense now😅😅. P.S.: sorry for the length of this comment
@@mehdiyasami1864 Well, not at all. It's quite different. I mean, yes it is the same language, and I can manage to understand, but, I think that the Balear accent could be equivalent to Australian, Scottish or Cockney's accent, if you know what I mean. It's quite tough to understand. They speak "Salat" which means they use different articles. If I wanted to say: "the bag" in Catalan, I would say: "LA bossa", but in Mallorca, they would say: "SA bossa". And they have different words as well, for instance, if I wanted to say: "the girl" in Catalan, I would say: "la noia", in the Balear Islands (Mallorca, Menorca, Eïbissa, Formentera and Cabrera), they could say "sa noia" but, they would probably say: "sa alota". If you're interested in Catalan accents, I could make a comment with different Catalan singers. Is not that easy to recognize the difference in some cases, but it's definitely noticeable in others, like some dialects of the Lleida's province , and some others of the Tarragona's.
@@judna1 Ah, thanks for your thorough answer. I'd love to learn Catalan after learning Spanish. I just wanted to get some information from a native Catalan speaker. I didn't know that there are lots of different Catalan accents! That was cool to know.

true. didn't get why she said that either. maybe it was just a random guess because she had no idea. or maybe she didn't had in mind that these three (actually four) languages are spoken in switzerland and only knew about the swissgerman accent in english, which does differ from the german accent. and swissgerman may not be a total different language but I would call it a very strong dialect since it also has it's own words and stuff. as a german person who lives in a region were standard german is spoken, it is quite hard for me to totally understand when swissgerman is spoken, because the proununciation is really different. but I have no idea how the the italian and french from switzerland sounds compared to how it's spoken in italy and france. still, don't think the first woman sounded neither italian nor french or german lol
She didn’t imply there was only one Swiss accent either, if that is what you are suggesting.
I'm addicted to these videos hahshsh
Hola Dalas
Same

Im addicted to Cristina
Same bro, I've found this channel a few weeks ago
Well, the French and German accents are often represented in Hollywood movies, so even some non-English speakers can easily recognise them in English.
Got an old joke for you:
In a restaurant:
Guest 1: Krchkrchackrrichch
Waitress: Help, he's suffocating!
Guest 2: No, he's swiss and ordering the menu.
Old is gold
I‘m impressed about the German girl’s pronunciation!! 👏👏👏
we Indonesian doesn't have unique accent tho, hard for native speaker to notice it lol. Maybe only fellow Indonesian could hear it😂
Yoi bang
@@taufiq6573 kalau indo tergantung orangnya masing masing suku beda aksen bahkan beda sekolah juga bisa beda aksen 🤣
I'm curious why she chose Switzerland
maybe she thinks they speak Chinese there?
For french people going to switzerland when we hear someone speak french althought it's really subtle we can hear an accent... It's like hearing a belgium or canadian accent, they speak french but with different words, expressions and accents
@@GestressteKatze no one except Christina
@@GestressteKatzeit's a joke. I'm not being serious.
I love Christina shes sweet 💕
Yeah alot of people when they travel speak English

I was happy to see beautiful women from around the world .. wonderful thing that
Christina is awesome.
That was a good playing. I'd like to do that with Portuguese. haha
Christina is so elegant and gorgeous,as a Chinese,i love her
german and english are quite close languages (both germanic) so it’s not a surprise that you can copy american english well but I think british english is even easier to sound like as a german native
Christina said number 1 is Switzerland 😂😂🤣
Cristina very beatiful.. Great from indonesia
When they said “hello my name is Anna” that felt good
THAT INDONESIAN GIRL. SO PRETTY.
Guys don't bash her for the China accent! Some people are raised hearing other accents around USA! I was raised hearing Japanese, korean, Chinese, Spanish, accents all the time growing up as it would be hard for me to distinguish Germany and France.
Switzerland was too much 🤣😂 well good job with other guess work
Why the hell would you guess Switserland if they also speak German and French there?
true. didn't get why she said that either. maybe it was just a random guess because she had no idea. or maybe she didn't had in mind that these three languages are spoken in switzerland and only knew about the swissgerman accent in english, which does differ from the german accent. and swissgerman may not be a total different language but I would call it a very strong dialect. it also has it's own words and stuff. as a german person who lives in a region were standard german is spoken, it is quite hard for me to totally understand when swissgerman is spoken, because the proununciation is really different. but I have no idea how the the italian and french from switzerland sounds compared to how it's spoken in italy and france. still, don't think the first woman sounded neither italian nor french or german.

I love this channel 🤣❤️🇧🇷🇧🇷
Ok the German girl is so so cute!!!
The girl from Indonesia was sweet!
I love the Chinese girl
Borahae unnie 💜
Love from Nepal
I love Christina ♥️
Wow this was a so fun show! Can we please have more of this? Thanks 🙏!
The 4th girl hit different 🤪
Christina♡
@@judna1 I love Rafa Nadal. Is his mallorcan accent similar to the catalan accent spoken in Barcelona?!
You should take more people from other countrys - more fun!
Italy, Portugal, Poland or Hungary.
Okay but you have to admit that the German girl definitely is a good English speaker like the accent is so little here 🤗
That is probably not least because German and English are both Germanic languages and the pronunciation is more similar than one would think.
Christina's friendliness is so warm and welcoming, but not so in-your-face that it becomes uncomfortable, like many Americans' friendliness. Even when she makes an honest mistake, she is super-respectful about it and goes out of her way to make sure nobody got offended. She is precious and should be protected at all costs.
❤️❤️❤️
Omg the Indo onee yess HAHA Indo-english accent
Daang Christina you're so beautiful...
At first, I had no clue about the fourth girl's accent, but not until she read the long sentence, i could tell she's indonesian when she pronounced 'of course' and 'every job'... 😁😁
My first language is Thai, but I speak English and Indonesian too. I lived and studied in Indonesia before (my beloved second home :) so I know how Indonesians sound when they speak English.
That Indonesian lady sounds like a Thai when she speaks. I don't know if she purposely put on the accent because of the show or she was nervous. None of my Indonesian sounds like that.
Not many people know this, but the population of Switzerland is 1.4 billion and they're know for their great wall.
Hi Cristina love you 💓😊
