Naruto: The Broken Bond is a fighting game developed and published by Ubisoft for the Xbox 360. It was released worldwide in November 2008. It is a sequel to the 2007 game Naruto: Rise of a Ninja. The Broken Bond picks up where Naruto: Rise of a Ninja left off, taking place between episodes 81-135 of the anime. - Ігри

@@FTIBug yeah you got that right! But I think I liked playing broken bond more than rise of a ninja because in rise of a ninja the graphics hurt my eyes :( well besides that tbb and ron are still my favorite naruto games to play every now and then :)

Yeah but the color filter is horrible compared to it's predecessor Rise of a Ninja, which had a better color scheme.

Isn't Aoi a filler character? This is sort of something Ultimate Ninja should have done is add filler and movie characters, they'd be really enjoyable to play as

The dream sequence really should've been in the anime and manga. Damn the games are done so much better. Except that guy from the Land of Tea Escorting Mission arc 'cause anything that's filler don't count.

I miss actually having to do jutsus, and combos... now it's just all button mashing, a next gen of this game would truly show the real from the fake players, but i dont think we'll get a remake or next gen version sadly
This game is way more ambitious than Storm 1 game. Original OST, good graphics (except chatacters models), better free roam Konoha (and others places too), puzzles, creative battle system.
Wish they would make a game like this again, just update the story and character roster.

Need to bring back the cool elements in this game and just freshen up on them to a 2020 standard Next Naruto game should look amazing don't mind if they make another free roam game like they just did with dragonball it's been a long time since we've been able to explore the cities in their glory or just throughout the story

The only reason Storm did it better is because they added combos that made sense. Early Naruto games suffered from copy past animations. That said, I prefer this style over storm series.

One thing that this game could have used was the character models and better animstion of Ultimate Ninja Storm. But the environments and stuff look way better in this game.

The animations are waaaaaaaay too fucking goofy... The Gekitou Ninja Taisen series is waaaaay better than this, and the storm series by far
A matter of taste,
since each one has its pros and cons, and *disparaging this game just for its animations, without considering its highlights, would be very subjective* 🤔. Also, you must remember that *the Ubisoft saga ("Rise of a Ninja" and "The Broken Bond") are non-japanese adventure games with some fighting elements,* while "Gekitou Ninja Taisen" and "Ultimate Ninja Storm" are *japanese fighting games* (with some little elements of adventure in the case of UNS). Below I will make a comparison of the remarkable elements of each one. 💁🏻♂️
Leaving aside the animations (since it's obvious that Ubisoft Montreal wasn't as good at mimicking the anime animation style as the Japanese developers), *Gekitou Ninja Taisen has better 2.5D fighting mechanics* than The Broken Bond, but *GNT games have very simple and poor story modes told just by dialog boxes,* and only one of them (I think it's GNT Special) has scenarios to go through that I don't know if I can consider them as "exploration" because of how small, simple, and closed they are 🤷🏻♂️, while *The Broken Bond has very remarkable elements of exploration and adventure* in a story mode that *recreates the story in detail (with the anime OST) from the death of the third Hokage to when Naruto leaves with Jiraiya* (the other first part is covered by Rise of a Ninja), so its strong point is in those elements, but not in the animations and not so much in the fighting mechanics (it's not that they're bad either). 💁🏻♂️
On the other hand, *animation and art style of the first UNS game (the game that covered kid Naruto story) was a visual delight, but it only focused on its fighting mode,* since *its story mode is very poor* (and the recreation of Konoha is very flat and low on details), as it only gives you a small summary of some parts of the story before each fight (they didn't even recreate the hospital rooftop for the Naruto vs Sasuke fight, and just put them to fight on a field stage 🤦🏻♂️; and the worst thing is that flashbacks in later UNS games also show them fighting on the field instead of the rooftop 🙄), and a few small cutscenes in the few boss battles it had. While *from UNS 2 onwards, that saga had a very good story mode too,* with so detailed recreations of memorable scenes that are a visual delight and tells you most of the important parts of the story 👌🏻, *but it still lacks elements of exploration and adventure on the same level as what "Rise of a Ninja" and "The Broken Bond" offer.* 🤷🏻♂️
In conclusion, as I said at the beginning, each one has its pros and cons, and it's just a matter of taste if you don't like any of them.
