Great video explaining the rules, the scoring and the optimal moves. This game is also available to download on the Vassal engine on your computer if you are interested, but it is the original version that uses normal D6 dice and not the special dice provided in the new version of Orchard you have... I actually own both versions and bought a number of the new versions for family members last year for Christmas tree presents - great fun... I'm actually sending my family a link to this video in case they need a little help understanding the game. FYI - there is a similar game called GROVE by Mark Tuck that uses similar card-design for citrus fruit groves (lemons, limes and oranges) and wheel-barrows and squirrels? I don't have any copies of it yet, but I intend to get some again for Christmas either this year or next - it looks quite good. Look out for GROVE and we'll all be looking forward to your rules explanation and the play-through..... BTW - great job as usual....
Chrissy Great to see you’re back. I have this and enjoy this just as you prescribe; end of the day, just want to zone out, absolutely perfect. Funny. Talk about low brain power. This is the first time I realized the “rotten fruit” token was an apple with a worm coming out of it. 🤣 I see someone mentioned “Forage”. I just backed that as well. Take care, and see you next month.
I'm ready for more gameplay video's for sure, and this was indeed a nice and easy one to start. I have Groves at home and this is just the right amount of push I needed to actually put it on the table. So glad you're back!
Hi, it's Keith with Buddypal Games. I'd like to send you a nice prototype of our upcoming game "Power Advance" that has a solo mode. It's theme is clean energy, and plays in about 30 minutes. I really like your playthrough videos, by the way!
Nice playthrough! This is part of a trilogy, along with Grove and the new Forage, which launched today on Kickstarter! When I saw this I thought it's to celebrate the new one, so great timing :)
You make it very hard for yourself when you just draw the top card and dont have anything to choose from. I think you are supposed to always have two cards "in your hand", pick one to play and then draw/fill up to two cards again. Thats the way I play... Like your videos 😊
You actually get to have two cards in your hand to play, not just the one. Maybe that'll help get you a better score next time? I have Orchard and Grove (which is the second game in the trilogy), the third one (Forage) is currently on Kickstarter.
This was a brilliant video and playthrough..thanks so much!!!
Great to have you back again, you're one of the best for explaining gameplay. Look forward to more!

Waited so long for your comeback :-) Thanks for being back.

No way! I had not idea they were running a kickstarter! thanks for the heads up my friend.
Welcome back!
Welcome back solo! Sure did miss your videos.
More to come!
I would be grateful if you could look at some of the button shy games as I can't find any youtubers capable of doing a decent playthrough.

Why are you skipping 2s and going straight to 3s?
the dice are special- they aren't the usual 6 sided ones. the points progress from 1 to 3 to 6 to 10.
Welcome back!
