The New Zealand drift scene, particularly D1NZ features a huge variety of powerplants across the field of Pro and Pro-Am cars, despite the new influx of V8s they are still uncommon, or perhaps unpopular among many fans in NZ. For alot of team owners and drivers however the attraction of running costs and reliability of LS and other V8 engines is a growing trend.
