We’re chasing Gallagher like United were chasing De Jong a couple of seasons ago. De Jong never came because he simply didn’t want to. The same with Gallagher, so move on already.

Solanke is 10x better than Toney. His footwork and finishing in front of the goal was one of the best last season. Plus great with headers, and we need help there, we aren’t a threat at all on corners currently. Almost all of Toney’s goals are penalties or tap ins.

Set pieces attacking wise were going well first half of the season. Romero was doing well with headers from corners. The second half of the season we had very few goals from set pieces and our corners seemed poor. Especially Maddison’s. Most sides use the inswinging corner so well. We use outswingers more. Defending set pieces was a problem most of the season. Not the first 10 games when we were on that great run, but otherwise. Then Man City bumped Vicario and then that started and we did little about it. We should have assigned someone to protect him. I hate zonal marking and think man marking is far better. We need a set pieces coach. Di Vio was doing a great job the year before.
If Levy lets the deal for Eze fall off the horse,it'll get awful for him.
Ndombele got to be the worst signing.Never understood what Steve Hitchen saw in him. £65m and £250k a week. Levy will just pay him £12m to let him leave.
Hitchen wasn't responsible. He had Bruno & Tielemans wrapped up, Bruno even turned down Utd expecting the Spurs move to go through but Poch was adamant on Ndombele & Lo Celso. Bruno then ended up at Utd in the Jan window while we got Gedson lol
I think we'll get 1 of Eze, Gallagher or MGW, with priority given in that order. Can't see spending 100M combined on 2 of them. Or 80M for Gallagher and MGW.
Kvara famously signed a long contract out of Georgia and Napoli basically told him to screw off when he asked for a new contract, he still had several years and he couldn't force himself out. It was pretty acrimonious at the beginning of last season.
Play Porro at RW if they are both worth starting

If my hunch is right, we'll stay away from PSR plagued clubs until very close to June 30. Expect either Toney or Gimenez in soon and maybe Vandersson by the middle of June
It needed over two thirds of the rest of the PL clubs to object to the sale of the hotels/training ground to a Chelsea sister company and only 11 objected and 8 didn’t. This means it made a significant dent to the projected £150m+ required (technically that’s a 34 point deduction at that level of breach) Chelsea still need sales, it’s just less desperate and they would still have a similar problem to prepare for this time next year. They then couldn’t rely on a Gallagher sale, so it’s still plausible that he is sold this summer.
It’s not worth the admin time to try and beg someone to take ndombele on loan

Both attacking and defensive set pieces were rubbish. We need a number two who is better than the candidates we have in place at present. Mason as you mentioned was set piece coach last season and look at our stats. Very poor and really not good enough.

What clubs with any sense would be interested in Ndombele? It's such a long shot that he won't let you down, mope around, get fat? Why invest a cent in that risk given his attitude and form over four years?

Gallagher would be good, but at this point, we should turn our attention to a striker and a number 6 and then a backup full back. Toney/Gimenez, a number 6 and then Ito would be a very solid transfer window.
A forward, a midfielder, and a defender have to be the bare minimum. Ideally, we can bring in another forward and defender, but that would be best case scenario. Still need some help on the wings and a new right back if Emerson is out the door. Hard agree on Ito, though. If Calafiori is not attainable, Ito is the next best.
@DjNaste I doubt we will get Calafiori, but we can dream. I think SpursTalkShow did a calculation and our budget is about 133m pounds before any sales, and that's about three 45 m signings (I think we should be looking at least on that level), if we can get get ito for 25-30m we can splurge more one a striker and/or midfielder.

When we got Nbombele he was a top 10 midfielder in Europe for Technical Ability, strength, dribbling and ball progression.
Shame that he was one of the 10 worst midfielders in Europe for attitude, focus, professionalism and determination.

I really love Eze but I don’t understand why we try to get him. Do we need to spend big on a midfielder? I’d really love him in our squad because he’s full of quality but don’t we need new wingers desperately? I know he can play as a winger but he’s not a natural one right?

We're wasting our time with Gallagher. He is overpriced and average in my opinion. We should go for someone like Khéphren Thuram, Youssouf Fofana or Joey Veerman. Either of them would probably cost less.

Not sure about gallagher,if he really wanted to join us he would have hinted at it. Chelsea dont usually do business with us,so be shocked if this deal got done.
The current Chelsea owners will do business with anyone with coin.
There's a lot of £40-£60 million players there.
To put it in perspective, we spent about £120m in 2019 after saving up for 2 windows.
And we spent about that again last summer and then flogged Kane for £100m to balance the books.
We haven't saved up.
We have got a Kane to sell.
We haven't even got CL money.
I'd say pick 1. 1 from Eze, Gallagher, MGW, Toni, etc. That's all we'll likely get because nobody wants all our over priced deadwood.
Vanderson is 5'8". I dont understand signing another fullback like Porro that will not help with set pieces. When you're trying to see out a game, I'd prefer a different profile. Arsenal and City for example have CBs at the fullback positions. They concede far less goals. If Ange wants to go for the league, he needs a top CDM or actual defenders in the backline. Not wingers pretending to be defenders.

Are we sure Vanderson is better than Emerson by so much to take a gamble. Our last impressions of Emerson is the player used way out of his comfort zone. When used in RB he is not a world beater, but I think good enough to be PP's fill in.

If thats the case then there is nothing in it for spurs and you may as well let him come in and train on his own.
