Yup, imagine in the patch note "Introducing Bullet drop". It's gonna be season 1 all over again, and then I'll take every DMR/Bolties I can find and have fun while people misses at full auto-ing.
So, as someone who do programming stuff for a living, here's the two thing PUBGM will never do. Increase the render distance to 600+, and adding real-life like weapon affects. First, the render distance. Having a further render distance is equal to more frame used per second, which will takes up a lot of phone capacity and causes overheat/lag to casual high end devices, worst for mid end devices, and basically unplayable for low end devices. That would be bad for their player base, which consist of mostly low or mid end devices. Second, adding affects like bullet drops, gravity, and bullet speed, or basically taking how PUBG pc works, takes a lot of codings to do. For mobile games, that thing can takes up so much RAM when the code runs, and it goes back to the player base issue once again, although, I'm not sure how simplified can you make it suitable enough for mobile devices. As a basic example, adding gravity to a program takes a few lines of codes. Then, applying those to weapons will take a lot more codes. Then you have bullet speed, the player vertical position, calculation of bullet drop, and some others. I could be wrong, but that is a bit too much background process for most existing mobile devices. Unlike PC, that have huge processing capability, mobile devices can't handle the stress level of having too many background codes, constantly running whenever you fire your weapon. I haven't even talked about the geographical issue regarding players, which can cause latency error in this kind of calculation, but that's not for this topic. In short, it's possible to add those kind of features. Realistically, not a full on experience, as of currently, but maybe some of those. It would still hurt a portion of the player base though. So, will it happen? Nah, PUBG is too busy making skins for people to buy.
A reason I think mobile gaming isn't where it could be is so many developers dumb down their games to make them more accessible which in turn takes away from the experience.
@@Phoenix-xm7fn Yeah, I know. It's Mobile game so they have to make it easier, but I think it would be still pretty easy. People would just stop using M4 so much and change to DMR and SR. They don't have to make it drastic to be like in PC version. But increasing the bullet drop would be healthy for game imo.
Thank you for this info TheBushka. There has been countless threads on your discord of ppl talking about bullet drop and bullet speed at distance. I’ve always contended that there was little to none at any range for the larger calibers. JW, Thanks for doing what you do and how you do it. The best Pubg Mobile content on the web!
I'll probably cop a bit of flak on this one, but I don't think the bullet drop is done that badly. I think recoil is where the game is borked. Drop could of course be scaled for max render (effectively increasing gravity). This would not increase realism but would have a practical benefit as you've outlined. I found a really detailed calculator and ran the numbers for a 909 m/s 5.56mm bullet with largely default values and 100m zero distance (which is fixed for almost all the guns in mobile). At 320 m the bullet is still travelling at ~715 m/s and drops a smidge over 40 cm - top of the head down to upper body. If render was pushed out to just 400m the drop at that distance is up to 80 cm (670 m/s) and this is why PC drop will look so large. At 560 m range you'd have to adjust by a whole Bushka height to be in the right place.
Actually it's not only about bulletspeed. Even with constant bulletspeed, a bullet from an m4 should have about 0.50 m bulletdrop purely from gravity at 300m range
I don’t think the devs actually play the game, tbh. I think they “play” it just enough to unit test whatever feature they are implementing, that their marketing team tells them to do (who also don’t play the game), and that’s it. If the devs actually owned the product and played the game, things would be very different.

Turn on bullet drop, fix the meta. What does fixing the meta mean? Making it like real life! Without people spraying at 150m lmao PS: wouldn't bullet drop make SMGs worse?
It would mean that smgs have a clear zone they rock and ARs would no longer be super versatile youd need to carry a ranged weapon for ranged engagements.SMGs already have “manufactured” bullet drop to a much greater degree
Bullet drop without decrease in bullet speed definitely makes sense. Gravity is still affecting it no matter how fast it is traveling. That is the dumbed down version of reality that PUBGM accounts for. They do not account for the decrease in bullet speed due to air friction which would greatly increase bullet drop at long ranges and need for leading moving targets at range. An M4 at 300m would feel like a current VSS at 150m for example (a revised VSS would be even worse).
Bullet drop in real life is mostly a function of gravity. If you drop a bullet from the same height that it exits the barrel of the gun, both bullets will hit the ground at the same time. That is, gravity has the same effect on a bullet you drop from a height as it has on a bullet that is shot from a gun. If you do the math (gravity force is 9.8 m/s2), a bullet from the M416 at your calculated bullet speed should fall about 6cm in 100 meters, 24cm at 200 meters, and 53cm at 300 meters (assuming no decrease in bullet speed). If a human head averages 25cm in height, then for a shot that is under 200 meters away, you can aim at top of head and still hit a head shot with these calculations in a real life situation. So yes, you’re right again @Bushka, aiming at top of head (and just above it for beyond 200 meters) is the best tactic to hit your target.
The most common bullet drops I've noticed are crossbow (its realistic tbh), DMR's (slr, sks), VSS, Kar98. Muzzles used on DMRs don't make any sorts of difference at all.
No need to add complex bullet speed and drop just adding simple linear drop in bullet vertical position would be enough of a change to spice things up. And yes as someone already commented, spraying with ARs is very unrealistic because in real life they are not accurate in full spray let alone at 200m haha. So DMR and Bolts must get some attention but they should also get bullet drops to increase the skill level a bit.
There’s definitely damage over 320 metres, my regular squad and I have all gotten kills over that range. Not often at all, but it’s happened. I know the max distance isn’t much further, render certainly isn’t much further, but I know over 320 is possible.
I agree with you but still I believe that AR's especially 5.56 will still dominate in those realistic ballistic physics again cause the 5.56 round is extremely fast and has very low bullet drom even in real life
Because render, and therefore shots, are limited to 300m, all bullet drop should be dramatically increased to imitate longer ranges. Think, the m24 drops about 16" at 300m in real life, on pubg it should drop 48" at 300m to simulate a longer range.
I dont think pubg should do the bullet drop too much like pc.it could mean needing more processing power to run the game, more lag.better to just increase recoil on weapon that are broken.itll be less stessful for lower end devices

Yeah, the main reason PUBG got so much love was the concept of the game and very realistic gun gameplay. In Mobile the gun gameplay is not as good as it could be, just because they treat it like typical mobile game, where game should be as simple as possible so more people will play it...
I feel like the reason why pubg pc 1000 meters mx range is basically PUBGMOBILE 300 meters is bc if it was to be that way. It would kill every mobile device XD

Bullet drop without decrease in bullet speed definitely makes sense. Gravity is still affecting it no matter how fast it is traveling.
The VSS is the only one with true bullet drop. You should of used it to display bullet drop

The bullet drop on a 556 from a 16” barrel is about 10.5-11” so pretty close to what they have modeled
No need to add complex bullet speed and drop just adding simple linear drop in bullet vertical position would be enough of a change to spice things up. And yes as someone already commented, spraying with ARs is very unrealistic because in real life they are not accurate in full spray let alone at 200m haha. With this in mind should I just be getting m416 ? With it’s crazy recoil and bullet drop
Btw I’m trying to get to grips with the beryl but struggling to get its recoil under control considering I’m playing thumbs on a I phone 10
Make the M416 more like the VSS. And get rid of the grass.
yeaaah there should be a lot of things they should fix in the game, that's for sure!
BuuuuuuT still love the game :P
30% more horizontal recoil on m416
@@mellestompe they need to nerf it , thats one thing that's is for sure!
The bullet drop king is the VSS.
So how’s this work with regards to the Vss?
It is the best mobile game I’ve played, it takes me back to my old PC days on BF 1942 or BF2 but yeah I’m probably playing wrong as I aim far to much above the target. But I do understand it’s still on a tablet on my case and not a high end decent PC. Do they have the talent in developers to bring bullet drop instead of endless naff outfits who knows, taking a break from it and that’s a shame as I play as a foursome with the same guys as last week it was just hacker squads killing us and even bragging about it. Developers it’s you they are laughing at.
Does the damage decrease at range?
Yes
At 350m the 4x does all the things. No sense in using anything higher than that as far as I can tell.
The bison has crazy drop beyond 300 meters but you can see a guy past that any way.....wether that's real or fake drop i have no idea
I am one of those who is guilty of bullet compensation , when you shoot rifles an AR in real life you tend to carry that over into the game 🤔
Getagungetagungetagun
Dumbed down recoil is fine but no bullets drop means dmr and some sniper rifles are useless!
So 8x scope range of ennemy 312 m peek the head and hit the boby... people crying about bullet drop.. the scale of pc vs mobile are 1000m for 360m in mobile the bullet drop was scaled too
The whole point of the game is realism. For me at least. PUBG is losing its initial appeal. They are not getting it right.
Bushka im a pro player and I got a piece of advice for you : you should really try to play it on actual phone if you call it mobile game...and then talk about bullet drops. because on iPhone 12 pro max you actually aim a lil higher if you are using m24 300 m
Other mobile games: balance updates regularly.
Pubgm: when the new season starts. 😂
There might be even no balance on that update. Who cares about balance anyways? 😂😂
most people who play the game play it because it's challenging and the developers don't understand making things easy is what will kill the game what's the point if everything is handed to us
Tell me all your secrets bush yayayayaaya
Please Bushka the game is already hard enough
Don't make it even harder 😢
I voted that Choco would win. Also, first comment. How goes it, Bushka?
Good amigo good
Is there any way i can play with you?
Thank you forbsayingbthe m4 is broken, it needs to be said and pushed and fixed, f*ck easy no skill gameplay!
the only gun with real bullet drop is the vss
Hey! Pubg is coming back to india and thoughts on that
Everyone should LIKE, Share and Subscribe so that this issue gets more attention and maybe Tencent will fix it so that they don't lose more player to New State, or because of the cheating.
I agree 👍 true
I used to have alot of fun in training no1 goes there anymore??
TF I'VE NEVER BEEN SOO EARLY 🤯
I constantly account for bullet drop and now you're telling me it doesn't exist, it makes sense why I can't use a 3 times for shit , it always seemed like the bullet curved up when I use the 3x , can never get a head shot with 3x... can't wait for new state, hope I get accepted into the alpha, can't wait to burry pubgmobile
How about the vss?? The bullet drop is visible
Old pubg was far better ( season 1 to 7 or 8) ..... nowadays people use ARs for 300m sprays, what a crap ; And DMRs are just like random toys spawned.
This game is getting worse, even the event mode is shit.
