Looks like the Vienna subway was having a sale of leftover white wall cladding. 😜😎 The band with every single meter the name Holborn AND the roundels ... Bit of overkill 😇 and it's a station where I hit my head on something on the ceiling in one of the connecting passages 🙄 but I'm 2m03 so .... 🤓 Nice vid as usual 👌
I agree, it's really not necessary to repeat the station name every single meter. 😀 It's usually not so extreme at other stations, but Charing Cross is another example... You will probably hit your head even more often in the trains themselves (unless you avoid standing near the doors)! 😁
Gutes Video! Ich war auch mal dort, wegen der U-Bahn und dem British Museum. Das ist ja kostenlos. Kann man sich in Deutschland eine Scheibe von abschneiden.
I remember when this station was "modernised" in 1988 with all the black British Museum cladding you see today. It has lasted well considering all that time, but the floors could do with a light err...mop lol.
Thank you! I know there are tours of these hidden platforms from time to time - but I couldn't use my camera the way I want it during such a tour anyway... 😉
💡 Not sure if you've gone through Tottenham Court Road yet, but you might want to consider a side-by-side, then-and-now, comparison between what it looks like today, and how it looked in "An American Werewolf In London." Oh, and have fun with the escalators at Angel...after getting a good view of the sculpture in the ticket hall. 😊
I haven't been at Tottenham Court Road station yet, but that's a good idea - I'll try to include something like that in my video! (hopefully I'll find the time for another trip to London in the next few months) My video of Angel station is already finished - I will post it in a few days! The escalators there are certainly the longest of all tube stations, but I think I have already seen longer escalators in Prague and in Helsinki. 🙂

Nice video!
Thank you!
oh, lord, Piccadilly!
A good video nice walking moves...the same as in Stockholm 🇸🇪😎
Thank you! Well, after visiting so many stations it looks like I have established a certain routine for filming them... 🙂
Geiles Video! Mach Weiter so, wie immer! Grüße aus Florida! Guten Morgen, Guten Tag, Guten Abend und Gute Nacht! 🌇☀🌻🌆🌉🍚🍛🎑🌾
Danke! 🙏

Vielleicht packt man ja zum geplanten 49-Euro-Ticket noch ein paar Museen, Kino und Stadienbesuche mit dazu! 😁😋

Well, I probably chose the worst possible spot when I pointed my camera towards the floor at 4:50...😄
@MetroCheck You did an excellent job documenting condition of station and covered every platform - apart from the hidden ones!
Thank you! I know there are tours of these hidden platforms from time to time - but I couldn't use my camera the way I want it during such a tour anyway... 😉
Nice video as always. Did you get a new camera? It feels like viewers like myself are there with you. Anyhow..keep up the good work!
Thank you!
No, it's still the same camera as in my first videos - perhaps I have improved my way of handling the camera over time... 😊

@@MetroCheck As have I, at Wheaton on the DC Metro's Red Line. 😉 Longest in the Western Hemisphere, that set.
