Kinda crazy that they release a limited edition GPU that is going to struggle to play the game at medium setting. Saw a 4090 only able to run this game at 40 fps max settings.
It’s likely that person forgot to turn on frame gen without it the 4090 WILL struggle on heavy games like frostpunk at max settings How do I know? Standard 4090 - 13900K - 64 Gigs of ram - 2 TB SSD Currently playing early release w these specs and have the settings turned to max
@@bigchungusfootfungus1964 not trying to argue lol but the 4090 shouldn’t need frame gen on anything out today. Do you have to use frame gen on any other games? If the 4090 has to utilize frame gen on this game then a 7700 is definitely going to struggle. That’s why I thought it weird to have a limited edition for a GPU that can’t run your game well.
@@Filthy_Craft Frame Generation should not be needed on the most powerful GPU in the world right now, but I haven't played this game just yet, I am thinking the game is poorly optimized but I will have more for you soon on that.
Today I look favorably on AMD, despite my last Nvidia RTX 3090Ti Phantom GainWard graphics card giving me happy days and adding videos too! I gave AMD the opportunity... Today I use a RX 6900XT Red Devil. This RX 7700XT special edition FrostPunk card catches my attention as well as the RX 7900XTX Sapphire Nitro+ Vapor-X.
both great cards for sure, AMD is doing amazing for sure, and it makes me very happy, the better AMD does, the better NVIDIA does and the lower the prices go. Would have been great if Intel actually made a dent in the gpu side, prices would have gone much lower.
@@ThisBytesForYou As a consumer and user or reviewer! We have to do our part by looking at both sides. I also hope that Intel evolves its GPUs, the prices really aren't interesting along with what the brand can integrate in the long term.
Both as a consumer, which is an end user and a reviewer. Intel isn't interesting now because they are starting off... but I think they may have squashed it, they have been quiet on a lot lately. As a consumer, I have had more luck with NVIDIA, but as a reviewer, I don't have a bias and I objectively look at both and I surprise myself sometimes. I was a product development engineer for Alienware and Velocity Micro, so I have worked closely with both AMD and NVIDIA and I can tell you they both want the same, they both want to make the perfect environment for you and I have seen the best and the worst of both, I have been working with AMD cards since they were ATI and NVIDIA cards since the 256 when I worked at CompUSA, they have both come so very far.
I think they did it because of price point, the 7700 is a little more affordable and this makes it a little easier to sell, especially at a collectors edition. But yeah, I love the looks for sure. Remember, I said a little more affordable, haha, not much.
Ayo ThisBytesForYou, I would like to ask you issue about an I've been having with my Gigabyte OC 6800 XT. I occasionally receive black screens while playing a game. This has been going on for nearly a year now. I've tried rolling back drivers multiple times, to only be beenmet with more issues. My GPU doesn't get hot either, usually remaining around 60 C. My psu is pretty beefy (850W), and I don't daisy chain the connectors anymore. I tried everything but to no avail (even reddit). I want to know if you've ever experienced anything similar with any of your high end 6000 series gpus. .

@@ThisBytesForYou Sorry for the late reply, I reseted the BIOS, replacing the battery, reenabling XMP, and got the same issue. When I turned it back on, the computer started retraining the ram (turning on and off). I honestly think the ram might be the issue.
the X570 chipset does not do any sort of RAM retraining, that AM5. Can you try 1 monitor, turn off your PC, plug in only 1 monitor and turn it on, does that work? If that one does not, turn off the PC, plug in the other monitor, unplug the other monitor and try it again.

dont get a 6900xt or 7700xt they are not big enough of a upgrade. and the 7900xtx isnt much better also. 3090 ti is still amazing
very true
Kinda bizarre to me they chose a 7700xt instead of the better 7800xt but besides that the card looks nice
