I search UA-cam videos every few months about Xenogears...it is one of the greatest games and stories ever told in RPG history. Such an iconic game that begs to be remastered.
@@Arthirias actually he and Sigurd are from Solaris. But Citan worked to emperor Kain,explaining why his Solaris id wasn't deleted, and because Solaris people, he know everything well and learn fast.
I believe this is the first time I saw anything about Dissociative Identity Disorder, which is the term now used for the condition. It’s still debated whether or not it’s an actually condition.
This one of the greatest games ever made. I am here, years later -feb 2nd 2022 - still commenting on this masterful game. I wish Squareenix will give this game a proper remake so we can experience the full version of the developers vision.
This game dove so deep in to a variety of themes which is why I love it the way it's layered is masterful. ID is a badass no one can tell me shit. Once Fei gets all his deathblows unlocked after Solaris you see how strong be can really be. 10/10
Fun fact: Citan was a normalization of the name "Shitan", which means deceiver. Etymologically, it's taken from the Arabic "Shaitan", or more recognizably "Satan", from actual history.

I learned about Multiple Personality disorder early on in my childhood because of this game, it was super fascinating.
Me too and it's just amazing how deep this game goes. This and Chrono Trigger back in the day were way ahead of their time.

I can recall all the times my memory cards were bleeding red crosses because Xenogears had a powerful story.

No, the name "Shitan" is an actual Japanese name. It has no relation to the arabic shaytan or devil.
I didn’t notice it at the time, but there were a couple of grammatical errors in the cutscene. 🤨
