  • Marbles Work knife - and a quick comparison to the Roper Tumbleweed Jr.
    I am a Marbles knife fan. They offer great budget knives and other cool stuff. I got this "Work Knife" simply because I am a Sod Buster fan. So I compared it to the Roper Knives Tumbleweed I got the other day. Really impressed me
    Thanks for watching

    I do enjoy your videos and personality! I do own a few Marble's knives. Marbles has a long tradition like some other not so costly brands and they work. Looking forward to that Sodbuster video. Happy New Year Sir!

    Hello 2nd Chance! I like the way you think! The nicer knife for casual/light use and bargain knife for hard use. I'll be checking into the Marbles knife you reviewed. Thank you for sharing!

    George, that looks like a good knife. I have an Opinel #8. I keep it in my pickup truck. Its wickedly sharp. It's not Chinese made.

    I just picked up the Marbles and like it. I also got the Rough Ryder blackthorn, which is another “sodbuster,” a little bigger, with a wood handle and a back lock. I like the blackthorn better! Though not by much. I do like the medium size of these - the regular large is 4.75”, too large; the junior, 3.35”, too small. I like the way you collect - you buy what you choose. Me, too!

      @2ndchancegeorge  2 роки тому

      Yep. I have to like the style and blades. Then I'll get it. Lol.have to look at the blackthorn. Hapoy new year to you and your family

    George love your personality! I just got myself a new knife you should give this one a try Hultafor Ok4. This knife is my new favorite in fact it’s only downside for me is it’s sheath is right hand only. But that’s something I’ve had to deal with my whole 53 years.
    This is the best $22 I’ve spent in years. It’s small but not too small it’s just the right size for 99% of my tasks.
    I’m a fan of marbles I really like their machetes and axes. Especially that rifleman ax I’d really like to give that a test.

      It seems they all look alike. What came first...the chicken or the egg. Just quality and steel makes the differences. Thanks for watching be safe

    Nice knives. Sodbusters are my favorite knives for food processing. I have a small white bone collection of about 10 knives and a five or six sod Busters. Years ago I tried to find a white bone sodbuster to complete my little collection but here in Canada everything's hard to find. I'm going to check it out again to see if I can find one through your links . Have you ever seen the German made Mercator knives. I have one stainless and one carbon really nice, slips into a wallet. I'm going to take a peek again to see if I can find that marbles white bone sod buster here in Canada it would be really nice to top up the collection. I use a sharpening device called The Block sharpener. I had one about 40 years ago and recently bought the new updated version. It's two criss cross honing steels and you simply draw your knife through the middle of them and it keeps it Sharp. I have never used a sharpening stone the only thing I use on my knives are honing steels. for my Rough Rider knives I have a small 6 in honing steel made in Soligen Germany. I have a 25-year-old chinese-made kitchen butcher knife that has never been sharpened on a stone only a 12-in steel and after 25 years it's still razor sharp.

      Love em Sod busters. I get most knives thru Amazon and SMKW (smokey mountain knife works) that have most of what I'm looking for. Seen the block sharpener. People say they live by it. I got my Worksharp awhile ago and happy with it. Looking at the new models of the " swing sharperners" gonna try them. Have a happy safe new year. Many thanks for the support and

    Many people whine that they will not buy a knife made in China but they will also not want to spend the big bucks on USA made knives. They want high quality at Chinese prices and made in the USA. That is not going to happen, I love Marbles and Rough Rider and Queen knives they are nice affordable very good quality user knives I own many of them and use them with no problems. I do own USA knives like the Spyderco Shaman and some GEC knives and one Case medium toothpick but I do not buy them anymore due to the very high cost that keeps climbing yearly and buying these hurt me financially but they were a one time purchase and not a repeat buying of more of these brands . Out of the USA knives the Case are more affordable mid-priced and a good option to other more expensive USA knives like Benchmade Spyderco and GEC. So now I only buy more affordable budget knives once in a while.

      Very true story. I personally am a big fan of Rough Ryder Knives. Thier value for price is amazing. Lol...I saw a folder the other day on sale......$657.00. ON SALE mind you. Sorry I use my knives and there is no way I can afford that and use it...it would be in a safe somewhere...lol. many thanks for watching. Appriciate your support. Stay safe out there.
