Thank you so much for stopping by. The only thing that I find different between DIY vs Guided tours is the time one gets to spend in one area. DIY tours allow me to stay longer and not have to wait for others in the tour or have to move to another location to stay on schedule for bus transpo for example. However, the best and most advantageous for guided tours is you don’t have to worry about where to go or where to stay and eat especially if it is your first time. I do lose some places to visit just because logistically it is hard for me to get to. If I were going solo and I didn’t know how to access online sources to plan, I would go with a tour. I hope this helps. However you get to Rome, please make it to Rome:-) It is a great place to visit. Italy is one country that I don’t mind coming back to over and over again lol
Rome is very safe even for solo travelers. I’m more scared going down the block in my fancy home city (which is secretly a shitshow) than strolling down a random alleyway in Rome. Had a fantastic time there. Learn basic Italian and trust me, your experience will magnify ten fold.
Thank you for stopping by. I stayed at UNAHOTELS Deco Roma on this trip. When I traveled last year with my husband we stayed at Hotel Serena. It was around the area of Roma Termini as well. I hope this helps
Wow! Great Vlog of Rome! I admire your tenacity for going it alone, and it looked like you had a great time.
Thanks so much, Lyn! Thank you for watching. I'll be back in July with Ralph this time around:-)
So brave of you to travel alone. Enjoyed your video 👌
Thank you sis!!! 💕💕💕
Awesome video. I’m going alone next month 🙂 both excited and nervous! Scoping out places to eat
You can do it! Have fun!!
I’ve just bumped into your channel - I’m enjoying it so much !! Can’t wait to visit Rome
Thank you so much!! Yes, Rome has a special place in my heart! We returned last year for our anniversary!
Thank you for sharing. It seems you are doing tours on your own vs a guide or group. Would you recommend tour group on first trip to Italy?
