I personally think Black Clover has the most complex story and set of characters. There’s a lot but very well put together. Like, Tabata read every single folk tale or myth of the world and made a single manga out of them. He’s a historian, a mythologist, a scientist, whatever you call him - Tabata is the GOAT.
Not really, the Greek and norse mythology are the most popular not that difficult to learn about it. I'm pretty sure he went to school, so that's where the scientific background comes from.

Charmy: Her Magic is based around the Idiom "A wolf in sheeps clothing" but Her herself is based around the H.C. Andersen story "Soup on a Sausage stick" where three mice try to win the right to marry the prince: The first mouse used cooking utensils to make music with the sausage stick being the baton. The second ate the stick and burped because "A poet can cook soup on a sausage stick" but she had misundstood it and instead of writing a poem or as the idiom means "Say some bulls**t" she ate it. The third mouse who was the royal cook started to boil a soup with the sausage stick as the main ingredient and saying alot lies to make people believe she was right and won the right to marry the prince. Gauche: Is based around the story "The Ice queen" where a young boy got shards from the devil-mirror lodge in his heart, making him negative and selfish, and in his eye making him see the world in a negative way. this and the arc with gauche is at the center what was the main element of enemy ICE. Henry: Henry is no other than the sleeping beauty(Little briar rose), stuck in the house confined to the bed until saved. (Charlotte is also based around this tale) Luck: Is most likely based around "The naughty boy" where a small blonde boy(Is actually Cupid) likes to pull pranks and shots his arrow through the chest of a kind old man after getting warmed by the mans fireplace and getting food. I haven't figured the others out yet though just in my native tounge there are 150+ famous fairy tales
I started watching black clover about a month ago with low expectations and I must say this anime is one of my new favorites. Really cool characters and fights and bro some of thee intros are 🔥 black rover 🔥 . Whole show is 🔥 🔥 🔥
What if Charmy initially never knew how to cook but loves to gouge food so much she ended up eating almost the entire Clover Kingdoms food supply when she ended up on there, causing a rampage. Which is almost similar to Heart Kingdom incident. Yami who just happens to be nearby just went and defeated her while offering her both cooking skills and a place to stay and she enjoyed it so much she became a both a knight and a chef.
Black bulls has 4 arcane stage mages, 2 devil host's a temporary elemental spirit host, a spatial mage, two reincarnated elves and two badass peasants.
Two devil possessed , 4 arcanes , 2 ultimate magic users ( one temporarily spirit possessed) , Magna is literally a cheat code , we don't know of Zora and Final yet
When the anime comes back, I hope they make one of those single episode fillers that tend to cover Yami's days in the Grey Deers and they feature Morgen mainly.
If Yami is the son of a Fishman man family and he is this strong. Imagine the other future characters from the land of rising sun. Like the man who teach Yami Ki and sword techniques.
About Henry you also forgot to say how Asta aside from Yami was the only one who knew about him and became his best friend because he was the only one who could be in a room with him and be safe from his curse.
Henry is a great character as he is the prime argument on why the black bulls are a great squad. They are literally having their mana taken from them by Henry and they are just like, yeah okay take as much as you need.
Henry and Licita both suffered with manna draining curses. I believe they were cursed by the same person. Henry's was killing himself and Licita's would kill anyone near her. Basically the same curse with different rules. I hope this is explained in a future chapter...likely if Gordon is able to lift Henry's curse.

Henry was the first member, that’s why charmy was relatively early imo. With her mana recovery food magic(?Don’t know what to call it) he will never run short of mana & they’ll be fine too. I think taba set them up in an order where they all solved another members weaknesses. Yami’s got them long term plans for this group imo. Loved the video, very interesting stuff.
