Thank you for sharing proper education with facts about the animals, as well as showing concern toward their enclosures & how us as visitors being super hands on can be a negative impact on them when feeding/interacting incorrectly. :) It's always great to hear you get so excited enjoying animals! Also, I'm surprised how the other zoo's group of parakeets pecked you and even drew blood. :(
I try to mention the importance of the treatment of the animals. Hands on interaction is good if it's educational and the animals are never forced. I was very happy to see they are building better habitats for their larger animals. I always mention the importance of supporting your local zoo's. It really helps make the zoo better for the animals and the guests. I have been inside lots of bird aviaries, this was the only time I i was pecked like that. A few of the birds got a little too excited I guess 😕
We just went here because my brother saw your video and we only live an hour away from it. It definitely exceeded my expectations! You missed the hyena though that was near the lion enclosure
Have you ever been to the Brevard Zoo Central Florida Zoo Gulf Breeze Zoo Jacksonville Zoo Lowry Park Zoo Naples Zoo Palm Beach Zoo Santa Fe College Teaching Zoo Zoo Miami or Zoo World
@@TomsRoadTrippinalso I know it's doubtful that you will to make it to San Francisco on this road trip but do you plan to go to San Francisco for your Pacific Northwest Roadtrip in 2026
@@TomsRoadTrippin alas as far as crime goes it probably worsens over time also why does San Francisco crime concern you the most because frankly I feel that you have visited cities that have had worse crime than San Francisco
Actually, the first cat you saw is called a "Caracal" and the second one you saw would be the Bobcat. They are not the same cat. Can't you tell the difference?
I am a great animal lover. I just love all kinds of animals, both real and imagined. :)

Wow! You actually got the kookaburra laughing on camera! Great video, Tom!
I am so happy I got to see that. The lady off camera was making a silly noise and the Kookaburra was loving it 😄

Glad you enjoyed it! I showed the Hyena habitat but they weren't in their habitat.

Hi tom I loved this video I hope you had a fun time at the Emerald Coast Zoo
I did!it was much nicer than I expected. All of the mud didn't cause any issues which was nice. The zoo has a fantastic variety of animals too.
Another Zoo I recommend you visit is the Ararat Ridge Zoo next time you visit Kentucky because it is really similar to the Emerald Coast Zoo
Thanks Trey, I'll add it to my list
@@TomsRoadTrippin also since this was your last video before your road trip is there not going to be a video next Thursday
Yes, I have a tour I filmed back in early February. It's an interactive museum

Potawatomi Zoo in South Bend, Indiana just opened a new restaurant with an Andean Bear exhibit next to it.

They have a nice setup, I was very happy to see they are building larger habitats for some of their larger animals
Are you going to be starting your Summer road trip in July
Late July most likely
13:09 I'm sure this is Caracal
Yeah I few others mentioned that. Looking through the camera I didn't get a really good view
@@TomsRoadTrippin oh I understand
14:10 this is the most common tigers you'll see In Gulf places and India
Most zoos have the Amur Tiger, it's always nice to see the Bengals
@@TomsRoadTrippin yeah true in north America and some places you'll find Amur
In Australia and Thailand
You'll find Sumatran tigers

Calgary and Winnipeg it was such a great experience
Very nice zoo
The brown cat next to the bobcat is a caracal
Thanks, several others have pointed that out too. Looking through the camera I miss stuff sometimes.
go to the LA Zoo San Diego Safari Park and Monterey Bay Aquarium and the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach
I'll be going to both of the zoo's, if I can make it to the Monterey Bay Aquarium I certainly will.
