Nana Konomi - Japan (1966)

Where The Action Is. August 09, 1966. Nana Konomi performs from Japan. Unfortunately Dick didn't announce the name of her song and I don't know it personally, so I have no title. If anybody knows the name, please share it with us so I can add it to the description. I remember reading many decades ago that Nana Konomi was considered to be Japan's version of Jackie DeShannon.

I'm sure Dick Clark did not travel to Japan (with an even more expensive TV crew) as Japan flights were long (Alaska or Hawaii stop over) and expensive back then. I'm sure this was taped by a local network (NHK or NTV) as Japanese TV standards were the same as the U.S.

Perhaps Dick Clark licensed a Japanese TV network to do their own version of "Where The Action Is", with mostly their own rock singers and groups, along with some segments from the American show.
And the American version rarely showed clips from the Japanese version, including this one.
