Love this idea. You are a genius. Can I give you an extra tip that I saw on thefrugalcrafter website. If you lay clingfilm (saran wrap) over the clay before you push down with the circle punch (bottle top) you end up being able to extract the piece easier and it has a lovely bevelled edge too. I hope I explained myself okay. I tried it on some Xmas decorations and it worked a treat. Tfs
Ingenious! 😃! Thank you! Love this. 💐🙏🏽❤️🤗
love it all but the book and typewritter really wowed me.
You can also print out individual letters using the font “American Typewriter,” which is considered a basic font and comes with most word processing apps.
LOVE these!! I got a Royal typewriter caked with rust from 1910-20s-ish in a thrift store for $10 with the plan to pick just use the keys, but after I used a soft toothbrush to brush some"rust" off the keys, I realized it was dirt! It even types. ;-) Thanks so much for sharing!
What a great project. Simple enough for the kids to help with. Thanks for sharing.
I really enjoyed this video. So clever. I had no rest until I tried it. I didn't care for mine so I left them to dry and the next day, what do you know, I liked them!! I used paper circles I punched from my scraps and my alphabet stamps. I also made some on buttons, they were fun, too. Thanks for sharing your crafting Joy with all of us.
thank you for all the details of where to find and what to do. love the ideas you share!
Oh these are all so gorgeous, tfs, Tinax
Love this video. Wish our clay was as cheap as yours in the states even at full price. I would get a small tub for that price. Have to come to the states with as n empty suitcase nick.lol... cant even find your glue that everyone seems to be using... Thouroughly enjoy watching your videos and listening to your stories and that bubbly laughter you have...Wicked !! Thanks for sharing and hi from the land of Oz
You have given so much information ,which is terrific....thanks , I’m going to make these as soon as I get clay. I decoupage so much, made my own Xmas cards out of napkins & thanksto you I can add extras...just love your videos...
These are so stinkin' cute!!! I love it! Thank you!
Love them!! ❤️Thanks for another inspirational idea! Also, just thinking out loud, if someone wants to make them the same size as yours but doesn’t have photo altering software, they can print them out and then copy/scan them reducing the size of the copy until they get the desired size.
oh absolutely! great idea, Wendy =)
Brilliant trick with the popsicle sticks and roller!
Good idea with the craft sticks. I do the same thing with the bigger size paint stirrers to roll out even sugar cookies.
you did a darn fine job wit those "keys" and i know because i have some. applause.
Great ideas....so thoughtful of you to share. Love the the typewriter keys....and yes, way too expensive to purchase the real deal. TFS

Hi Nik. Love your journaling style. Made these keys after watching you and Stacy Evans, Pink Poodle Crafts, and they came out pretty good. Right before I made them, however, I checked Facebook Marketplace and found many vintage typewriters for sale, ranging from $20-$100. The next day, the one for $25 that was right in my neighborhood was already sold. But that's ok because I prolly would have felt badly about taking it apart... I now have my own keys anyway. So thanks.
I love how you make these little projects so easy to do. Very creative! I'm definitely going to do this one. Thanks.
Thank you so much for sharing the link for the typewriter key printout. I bought the clay a few days ago and plan on making these this upcoming week. Love your work and the fact that you share so much with us all.
For those who don't have a resizing program...I often use my PowerPoint program to resize photos. Just import them to a blank presentation and click and drag to the size wanted. I use this a lot when I'm printing pictures for journals because I can put many on a sheet and resize them and print.
never thought of using powerpoint like that, genius, rebecca! tfs =)
:) Glad to help. It's so easy to drag and resize/shape your photos and print groups of photos. I hate wasting paper printing one at a time so this lets me get the most photos on one page.
O-M-G what a genius idea!!
Great projects..... Love your excitement......Can't wait to try making these.
Love the idea! You are so smart. I would have looked around at flea markets to see what I could find. I already have that type of clay so it's play time.

I love these! I just bought a big tub of this clay to make Fairy Items (I run Fairy Garden classes for kids - we made Thanksgiving food!). I am excited to try all of these, but the pendants would also make great ornaments....
I get so excited every time I see a video from you. Thanks for sharing your creativity!
how much fun! I used to make play food out of salt dough or cornstarch dough when I was a kid and then when my daughter was little. Many hours of entertainment =)
Nick - thank you so much! I love this. I pulled up the image from alteredartifacts and saved it. It saved as a picture so I printed it from the photo program (Windows) on the 8 x 10 paper setting but sized as a 4 x 6 photo and they came out the perfect size. Hope this helps those who don’t have photoshop.

I thought they were buttons... the ones with the edge rim... I'm gonna make these on some edged buttons and skip the clay step 😁
Tami Elizabeth Allaway I was thinking about that, too. I even thought about tying a string through it before gluing the letter on it.
I’m going to use buttons too. That’s what I thought they were too.
Oh My Gosh!!! Love these and thanks so much for sharing your process. Now off try my hand at it. :)
wow totally AMAZING thank you for sharing with us!
Love the typewriter keys!
I love everything about this video
I love this idea. Yes, I will be looking to buy some Crayola clay because I love that it dries hard. Not a polymer clay fan. The metal look I am a big fan of as can't always afford the metal embellishments. Thanks so much for this video Nik! Cindy :)

I love this idea. I just checked Aliexpress (hope it's ok to post this) and you can get wooden bezels that look like vintage typewriter keys for next to nothing. They come in different sizes and colours....
My wife wanted me to watch this. You are a very good teacher. Couldn't help but imagining you having these two puppet hands talking. With little clay eyes etc.
hahaha I was always fond of Wallace and Grommit... ;) Thanks, Joe!
