Hello may i ask why other dental clinics proposed diff kinds of treatment in tmj though they are tmj specialist? I have tmj issues since when i was in highschool until niw im 26 . Had my braces and splint for tmj treatment yet still im suffering. the treatments that i get on tmj doesnt have those kinds of technology u have .. My condyle has been damage. For the years of not having proper treatment.
Can you please tell me why are most doctors against this kind of treatment. I fail to understand them for a new person who's just started to get the hang of it these guys are a big deterrent
Hi Dr Yiannios, I'm suffering from TMJ disorder - I have very sore aches just in front of either ear (I have to constantly massage to relieve it), my jaw pops both when I move it from side to side and when I chew. Additionally, I also have very bad ear pain/popping that seems to be connected. I'm 22, and I had braces from 2005 until 2010, I was also fitted with a retainer at around 11 years old to correct an underbite. My bite feels very uneven, almost like its lopsided. When I close I'm conscious of only certain teeth coming together as opposed to everything at once, and as a result I have to keep my teeth slightly apart usually as it feels unnatural and forced when I close them. Might I be a candidate for this procedure? I live in Dublin, Ireland and from what I can see it seems that you are offering something that just isn't available anywhere near me, I would be prepared to fly over to Missouri to get this sorted! Lastly, I know you can't give a quote without proper examination etc, but in general is this an expensive treatment? Thanks!
I Have TMJ for two years and its getting Much Worst! It started on my left side and recently, my right side is getting Locked! I am a Singer and i am always Belting out notes and rehearsing and Ever since i got my TMJ I Could ht notes i Used Too. Its very hard to sing 3 songs in one day after the 2nd my head jaw face everything hurts ! I Live in Florida and You are to far for me to Reach, Who can i Look for To Help Me get ride of this PERMANENTLY ! My Career is on the line PLEASE HELP!
hi doc,sorry to bother you time and again.just wanted to know how do i identify which riibbon mark on the tooth to reduce if they are adjacent to one another,can i use softened wax to identify the spot and grind,rechecking again with tscan.will this work???
