Hi...greetings from the Philippines! I am glad I came across your video. I am preparing to start my 33 days on March 25. I have read and doing best to absorb the treatise of St. Louis De Monfort. I am a father, I support my family, I am a corporate sales person which requires me to do plenty of small and big decisions also...what practical guides can you give regarding doing things "with", "in", "through" Mary? What works for me is receiving the sacraments through Mary so when I receive communion I always pray the Rosary and before going to confession I ask Mary to help me make a good confession. Apart from that I like to ask Mary to ask God for the grace of a perfect contrition for me.
You can also offer your day up in the morning through Mary to Jesus.
If you come up with your own ideas that's great as well!

@@saturdaysolitude7800 Praying all 4 Rosaries a day takes dedication and commitment, it becomes a rule of life. I do work part time at the moment. The best advice I have is look for opportunities. You don’t need to pray a full Rosary all at once. You break it up throughout the day. I always pray my first one as soon as I wake up in the morning. Then, I’ll pray my other two, usually I pray on my breaks at work.
Even praying a few decades while doing tasks such as grocery shopping, walking, driving, daily duties. My last one is prayed before I go to bed. Ask Our Lady to help you pray all 4 and she will give you the graces to do so! 🙂 You’ll find there will be constant peace throughout your day.

I am currently exploring and learning more about the consecration to Mary. This is interesting, however I find myself disturbed by comment that "we only talk to God through Mary." Surely that cannot be right? We all have a duty and right to a personal relationship with God, to go directly to him as Our Father at times, whenever we want or feel called to do so?
I have done some other brief research which suggests that being consecrated to Mary does not mean that we can only go to God through Mary, so now I am confused. I will continue my discernment.

    • @BiblicalBookworm
      @BiblicalBookworm  4 місяці тому

Yes, we can all directly go to God. The idea of the consecration is that we voluntarily decide not to do that anymore but to go to Him through Mary. This doesn't mean that you have to preface every prayer by saying "dear Mary, please tell God.." or the like. It simply means that even if we pray eg. the Our Father (which would be a prayer directly to God) we do so through Mary.

The books in the Bible was written by authors when they were moved by the holy spirit.
      2 Peter 1:19-21
      New Living Translation
19 Because of that experience, we have even greater confidence in the message proclaimed by the prophets. You must pay close attention to what they wrote, for their words are like a lamp shining in a dark place-until the Day dawns, and Christ the Morning Star shines[a] in your hearts. 20 Above all, you must realize that no prophecy in Scripture ever came from the prophet’s own understanding,[b] 21 or from human initiative. No, those prophets were moved by the Holy Spirit, and they spoke from God.
      2 tim 3:16
      New Living Translation
All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right.
In acts chapter 2 apostle Peter quoted from prophet Joel when the holy spirit was poured upon them, to prove that their experience was biblical .
Jesus overcame the devil by quoting Bible verses from deuteronomy. Jesus rightly divided the word of god to resist satan
      Matthew 4:1-11
      New International Version
Jesus Is Tested in the Wilderness
4 Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted[a] by the devil. 2 After fasting forty days and forty nights, he was hungry. 3 The tempter came to him and said, “If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread.”
4 Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’[b]”
5 Then the devil took him to the holy city and had him stand on the highest point of the temple. 6 “If you are the Son of God,” he said, “throw yourself down. For it is written:
“‘He will command his angels concerning you,
and they will lift you up in their hands,
so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.’[c]”
7 Jesus answered him, “It is also written: ‘Do not put the Lord your God to the test.’[d]”
8 Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor. 9 “All this I will give you,” he said, “if you will bow down and worship me.”
10 Jesus said to him, “Away from me, Satan! For it is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.’[e]”
11 Then the devil left him, and angels came and attended him.
      Acts 17:11-12
      New Living Translation
11 And the people of Berea were more open-minded than those in Thessalonica, and they listened eagerly to Paul’s message. They searched the Scriptures day after day to see if Paul and Silas were teaching the truth. 12 As a result, many Jews believed, as did many of the prominent Greek women and men.
Here you can see the believers in berea when they heard pauls message, they referred to the scriptures( old testament), as the new testament was not yet written.
As I read the scriptures god is opening my eyes to many wrong understanding of the scriptures. If our experience, teachings , revelation does not align with the scriptures, we will be more prone to hearsies and false teachings. Bible states the devil disguises himself as an angel of light
If our teachings does not stem from the Bible, anybody can then use say for example other religions scriptures to prove their teachings.
      Hebrews 4:16
      New International Version
16 Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.
This verse states we can come bodly to God for our needs because of Jesus sacrifice on the cross. We do not need any other mediator apart from Jesus Christ.
These are just a few verses that I have shared. There are so many verses to prove that our doctrines and teachings should be based on the Bible to keep us from error.
I could have just continued with my life without writing this response, but I am writing this humbly with a burden in my heart. I pray for god's blessings upon your life.

Would you please show me where in the Bible that Mary is to be prayed to. Where we are supposed to Consecrate ourselves to Mary in the Bible. Who told you to Make Graven Images of Her and Kneel before her Graven Image? Would you please show me in the Bible where GOD gave her any assignment other than to be the Mother of Jesus? None of these attributes given to Mary by the RCC are in the Bible. Wouldn’t Jesus have told about all these these things? Why didn’t He?
God said in the book of Isaiah 42:8 “ I AM THE LORD, THE LORD IS MY NAME, I WILL NOT GIVE MY GLORY TO ANOTHER NOR MY PRAISE TO A GRAVEN IMAGE.”
So why has The Roman Catholic Church Given Glory and Power that belongs to JESUS to a Woman, and kneel and pray before Her Graven Image?

    • @BiblicalBookworm
      @BiblicalBookworm  11 місяців тому +2

A good example of praying for the intercession of Mary in the Bible is the wedding feast at Cana.
Marian Consecration is not an obligation in any way but it aims to imitate the fact how Jesus was dependant on her for 9 months in her womb.
The images just serve for contemplation. No one is/should be worshipping that image.
I wouldn't underestimate the assignment to be "just" the mother of God. That's the greatest assignment any human on earth has ever received.
It's important to understand what Catholics actually believe:
Catholics do not worship Mary. Mary is omnipotent because God honoured her that way. Without God Mary would be nothing.
The moon is an astronomical object that is a source of light. Only stars produce light. Does that mean the moon is a star? No, because it's a reflection of the sun, the only star in our solar system. Mary is like the moon.
Again, Catholics don't worship and don't claim to worship any other deity apart from the one God.

@@BiblicalBookworm My friend the Wedding your referring to where Mary said “ do what ever He tells you” has nothing to do with Mary being an Intercessor between Man and God.
If anything it just proves that Mary recognized Jesus as the one in charge of providing at least the Wine at the wedding. It also could refer to Jesus being the Gospel as New Wine in Mathew 9:17.
No matter how the RCC spins this passage, it’s not about interceding for man. I’m sorry to say but that inference is just Silly. It’s no different than The RCC claiming the Mary is
“ Mother of us all” simply because Jesus spoke to Apostle John from the Cross and told him to look after His Mother in His absence. To treat Mary as if she was John’s Mother and for Mary to depend on John as if he was her Son. This in no way refers to Mary being the “Mother of us all”, and it shows an Ignorance of Scripture.
