Traveled from PV to Guadalajara on ETN thanks to this video. Sat on the top front seats of the double decker which provided excellent views of the six hour trip. We were given a sandwich and a bottle of water. Bus and bathrooms wee clean. Loved it!
If you have the money! I've been in busses that had you hold onto the steal poles in the bus because seats weren't there or were broken! It was quite an experience 😂
Thanks for walking us through sample bus travel in Mexico. For perspective, bus travel is very common in Europe as well. I once took a bus from Zurich, Switzerland to Milan, Italy (8 hrs). I’ve also taken a bus from CDMX to Puebla. Again, super comfortable and safe. European bus travel is same as MX...affordable, very comfy, charter type of bus. It’s only the US that, for whatever reason!(influence of car industry??!) doesn’t take advantage of bus travel in a big way like many countries do.
One of the most invaluable added features of the first class bus companies is that they pay their drivers more, formally train them, require them to take periodic actualization courses, and schedule them in a way to minimize somnolence. As statistically safe as it is to travel by bus in Mexico, like everywhere else, it is still very much an operator dependent endeavor. So yes, I know you guys are on a budget but do always travel top if the line, to maximize your safety. Cheers!
Ohhh yes I 've traleved greyhound and they 're bad!!! , Mexican busses are great , but not that cheap(etn, primera plus, omnibus ), sometimes you can find flight tickets (vivaerobus cheapest flight line) cheaper than bus.
Another great video, the buses in Mexico look so much better than the ones here in California. Paying for restroom never gets old. I’ll be seeing you guys around
I just realized that you were at the bus depot in Querétaro! My mother, sister, and I would often use that location when visiting my grandmother near Celaya back in the 90s. The last time I was there was in 2005. It's amazing how it has changed, yet I can still recognize it.
I have traveled in first class in mexico and and what first class means is that the seats are wider, most of them have only 3 seats per row, newer buses, tv on every seat and wi-fi, I love it, my favorite is ATN and Primera plus, I love your vides.
Great camera work. Too many UA-camrs pan so fast it, lterally, makes me dizzy. Keeping your destination secret is also another great move...Adds some fun suspense. Try this on for size. I was on a bus trip from my home in Sonora to Washington state to visit my kids and grandkids maybe 7 years ago. On the US leg, I sat next to a guy who was 6'6", who -- literally -- lived on the bus. He bought a month pass that let him travel anywhere for around $325. He had a set route where he could go to shelters to bathe or get food or whatever. I'm 5'9" and my knees where not happy campers. I can't imagine how his felt. He should have moved to Mexico.
Saludos
ETN by far the best bus line, was there a while ago and decided to pay extra for the same reason, safety, comfort, and non stop it was well worth it. Happy travels amigos.
my parents travel in bus a lot and they use tap busses ,they r good also and tap busses have 2 restrooms in the back men and women and also to get in there is a glass door before going into the restrooms area witch seals them even more so no weird smells on those.peace
Indeed Greyhound sucks, I used to travel almost 4 or 5 times a year from Vancouver to Seattle and back via Greyhound, the service was horrible not from the Canadian side but from the USA side, but now Greyhound lost lots of customers because there are other buses such Bolt Buses or Quick Shuttle with way better service and better buses, greetings

Dayum, Mexico's bus fleet is impressive. The other major company Primera Plus also offers first class, but only ETN offers this VIP service, 3 seats per row = extra wide reclinable seats with tons of legroom & built-in personal screens & Wi-Fi
Excellent service and it looks very comfortable, now when you need to travel by plane, do not forget to do it by Aeromexico, you will notice the difference between American lines. Greetings guys🤗🤗
Bus service in Mexico is actually pretty nice, if you miss your bus, or are stranded, bus stations are usually open 24/7 with stores, bathrooms and probably a place to charge your phone, and a waiting area to rest. Buses in America are older i guess because not many people like to travel that way, and in Europe the buses are usually nice, but sometimes the terminals, or stations are not the best and dont have a lot of info availabe (i had to wait for some buses in parking lots and not so comfy places, If you want to travel in México, going by Bus, is super cheap and convenient.
"First Class" Mexican bus service is what American would consider a step above a basic Greyhound ticket. I bought one of these tickets by accident for a trip from Merida to Cancun. The seats are tiny and the aisle is small. At a minimum, you want to buy a GL (Gran Lujo) "Luxury" ticket. An upgrade is to Platino (Platinum), which gets you access to a special waiting area, if available, presumably with private bathrooms. This may not sound like much, but considering the "public" bathrooms require you to check your bags at a cost, just to go through the turnstile, then pay to enter, and then tip for the privilege of using the toilet, is something to consider for the small difference in the price of the upgraded ticket.

Haha! Hilary, Im so glad you mentioned the no toilet seat/TP. I always carry a Kleenex to go packet whenever I visit Mexico. I visited Mazatlán, Sinaloa a few months ago for the first time and I have to say it was very nice, y’all should check it out some day! Suerte

Bus in USA socks, I travel from Seattle to Atlanta GA, and it took me 3 days, and change diferentes busses. Also I travel from Piedras Negras Mexico to México City and I get in 22 hours in first class.
Thank for your videos. I saw the first one you made a while ago and decided to follow your advise and took the bus last month when I was in Mexico City and travel to Cuernavaca. It was the best choice specially when traveling with kids the restroom and TV comes in handy. I was surprise how comfortable, safe, and cheap are the buses in Mexico compare to the USA.
I'm from the U.S and been to Mexico a few times, the buses are amazing over there. Wayy better than greyhound, peterpan, etc. For example ADO, estrella roja in Mexico. USA needs to step it up 😅

I got to say Mexico has way better buses than the US. Greyhounds are so old and always dirty in and out I know I've traveled.
that's the truth!!
If you have the money! I've been in busses that had you hold onto the steal poles in the bus because seats weren't there or were broken! It was quite an experience 😂
we have cars planes some trains and little bit of busses, in that order

Imagine if these types of bus systems were in the states I bet ppl would rather go on bus when traveling heck I would 😍🙌🏻🚌
However.... I have never been stuck in a bus station in Mexico because there is usually another one leaving in an hour!!

Travel by 🚌 in Mexico, I would suggest a blanket and a small pillow. Because it will get cold. Just a heads up on anyone travling by 🚌.
Why USA can't have a decent bus transportation?
Because there's no market, people either have a car and drive or fly
Yo les recomendaria Primera Plus, ETN, Omnibus fe Mexico(recomendable PLUS, aunque la mayoria por no decir todos, son PLUS)ADO(recomendable ADO GL, ADO Platino), TAP Plus, FUTURA, FUTURA SELECT, FUTURA PLUS
Hmm... Kinda looks like the San Miguel de Allende station...
....sort of right :)
The SMA station is much smaller.
San Miguel de Allende es hermoso
