- #AajkaagendaWithSportstak India has announced the squad on September 8, Sunday and there is no Vice Captain appointed by the selectors for the test matches against Bangladesh.
Ruturaj Gaikwad who was earlier part of the Indian Test squad has been over looked by the selectors.
For the first Test against Bangladesh with Rishabh Pant making a return.
Pant, who last played a Test match all the way back in December 2022, recently made his return to red-ball cricket during the Duleep Trophy 2024. The wicketkeeper-batter was part of the India B team that defeated India A in Bengaluru on Sunday.

He plays very well in the limited overs cricket...should be given a chance in the ODIs.
There is no reason to select Ruturaj in the Test squad. There are few other players who are doing exceedingly well than Gaekwad in the Ranji format but their name is not even discussed for the selection.
Ruturaj is not even a captain material. His wife can be a better captain than him.
