The first thing you need to understand about this is it was a concert to raise money for Mikio's family. They've held several concerts, released multiple Bu-Rays and CDs, sold shirts, with the proceeds going to Mikio's family to make certain they never want in life and to ensure the money is there for his daughter's education. They've even stepped in to help Mikio's parents business, a fresh produce store in rural Japan, survive the COVID crises by setting up a web site and web orders, to which the Japanese music community stepped in and started ordering. Someone heavily involved in all of this but missing from this performance (because it's an instrumental) is C4-Toki (vocalist). Kudos to friends of Mikio stepping in to take care of Mikio's family. Perhaps the biggest evidence of the person and musician Mikio was is just how much his friends loved him and how much they have done to take care of his family in his absence. These are more than great musicians, they are good people. To this day, Ohmura performs with Mikio's guitar. On the back of the head stock underneath the tuning knobs he attached a cigarette of Mikio's brand as an invitation for Mikio to come back and play. Underneath the bridge tension springs he keeps a letter from Mikio's daughter.
Do you happen to know how to read Japanese at all? I want to order from this site and have them give it to a local food pantry or something of the like to help any needy people there since they can't ship food overseas. The problem is that Google Maps has everything in Japan in, you guessed it, Japanese(I know, shocking they would do that), so I have zero clue. Any help would be appreciated, whether it be from you or someone else who could do a search for me and give me some info on charities that accept food donations, or straight up food pantries for poor people over there (the closer to Awaji Island, the better).
That was emotional. I don't know if you caught that the first guitar solo was (I believe) Mikio playing (they had that on tape) and he was superimposed over this video playing it. Also Takayoshi was playing Mikio's guitar - Mikio's wife gave it to him ... and that wasn't 'guitar faces' he was pulling, he was crying as he played - he and Mikio were really close and Mikio was his best friend and mentor.
Damn I almost wrote the same message. Atleast double the chance that the information gets passed along. I wish people recommending this would bother to warn of those important things before dropping a link with no context.
Ah I see that is so awesome and makes the song much more emotional knowing this for sure. A really nice gesture too with the guitar. Almost makes me want to tear up. Thanks for sharing..
Love this reaction guys! You really can feel ohmura's emotions when he's playing. When I first heard it, it appealed to me like his guitar is crying. Combined with his crying and emotional face, that really hit me hard. Also the fact that he's using Mikio's guitar, i couldn't stop my tears by then. They really are legends. We hope that Mikio is having a nice guitar session now that Eddie Van Halen is also with him.
And with his (Mikio's) guitar hero, Alan Holdsworth. You can really hear Holdsworth's influence in Mikio's playing. Also when Boh, Mikio, and drummer Yuya Metha would gig as Kari-Band thery were basically doing "jazz-fusion" as evidenced with Holdsworth covers. Also I searched Mikio on Amazon music and found "Trick Disk" which appears to be a solo record . .or his band "Trick Box". Coolest music I have heard since Mahavishnu orchestra.
This was only a few weeks after Fujioka passed away, so everyone was really emotional, mainly Ohmura, as he had been Mikio's student since he started to play the guitar and later friend and companion in his musical projects. They did this tribute show to collect money for Mikio's family, as he left a wife and two small girls. Actually _Hills of Wisteria_ has been played as Babymetal, as an intro to Akatsuki during the second half of 2015.
Man I really wish people would have explained to you what was happening before you reacted to this one. The first solo is playback, it's Mikio playing you can hear and Ohmura is playing on Mikio's guitar. Also Ohmura isn't so much making "guitar faces" as he's trying to hold back his tears... You also seem to have missed the part at the end where Ohmura presents the guitar to the crowd in a last homage to Mikio. Ah well :). There's a video of all 4 of them playing the exact same song. This is just the version WITHOUT Mikio and that's why it's so touching.
Yeah, mostly our fault for not looking into it more as well. Thanks so much for explaining it though fam. Glad we have y'all helping us out with this stuff. 🤘❤
In this performance, Takayoshi Ohmura is playing Mikio's usual part in this piece, using Mikio's own custom guitar, which was gifted to him by the family. You can see Mikio playing this guitar in a lot of older live performances. I've heard that Ohmura brings this guitar to Babymetal performances so that Mikio will always be there.
The only part that he plays of Mikio's is right at the beginning, when he had to use the whammy bar to start off the song. Takayoshi never uses one, where as Mikio would use it often to create those unique harmonics.
Everyone has already mentioned about Mikio's Snapper and how it was given to Ohmura. One thing that is also important to know about it is this. Ohmura taped Mikio's favorite cigarette to the back of the headstock as well as kept a letter that Mikio's daughter left to him either taped to the back of the headstock as well, or behind the panel where the springs are for the bridge and tremolo are so Mikio's can come back and play it any time he wants. Additionally, Ohmura stated that whenever he is playing with BABYMETAL, that guitar will *ALWAYS* be played, let alone at that show, so Mikio's will always be with and apart of the band. For this performance, this is actually Mikio's song. There's another clip where he is playing this with the Kami band. But for this performance, the first solo is his. You can clearly see him playing the same Snapper, with faded footage, while Ohmura is playing under him. During Ohmura's solo, as well as at the beginning, you can see him crying. Mikio's was his teacher and mentor, and was teaching Moa how to play guitar, so this is definitely an emotional performance. If I remember right, this was the last song they played at this tribute show, called "My Little God". It's available on blu ray.
I don’t know if you realised but they had Mikio on playback the whole time from a past concert, that’s how you can hear the harmonies. The first solo is played by Mikio and you can see during it that they also overlap the video with footage of him playing from a past concert, he had a very unique style. Takayoshi is also playing Mikio’s own signature guitar that he inherited, it’s a ESP Snapper-7 Fujioka custom. During Mikio’s solo you can see Mikio playing it in the overlapped video.
R.I.P Mikio you are greatly greatly missed but you will never ever be forgotten, your tribute to music is legendary awesome the gods tremble with your greatness, you are still on stage with Kami Band in there hearts on the tips of there fingers R.I.P Thank you guys for that beautiful reaction 🦊🤘🤘🦊
You can really see the emotions of Takayoshi Ohmura when he is playing on Mikios guitar with Mikio on the backingtrack! Hard to not have tears in my eyes in this one! 1:st solo was Mikio on the backingtrack!
I also hope you do react to the original one where Mikio was there to see how impressive he is. Even though Ohmura is a prodigy, there 's a reason he was a Mikio understudy. Because Mikio is that good.
Thank you so much for doing this one. Did you see the look on their faces? You can tell how much they loved Mikio, and how hard it must be to keep going without him. Especially for Ohmura. RIP Mikio, one of the most underrated guitarists ever. A legend to me.
For all of us who love Babymetal, it is impossible not to feel the sadness and passion in this incredible tribute to Mikio. It is to feel once again the pain for the departure of the little God. Thanks for this great reaction guys. See you in the next 🤟🏻 🦊
This song was pretty rough man. Mikio was pretty much loved by everyone. He was one of my top 3 favorite guitarists ever. Hit me pretty hard and I didn't even know him. I can only imagine for Ohmura who learned from him personally. Dude was sobbing that whole song. Great song too
mikio was an exceptional virtuoso from japanese music scene (his playing was like holdsworth, fripp and beck at the same time to my ear) and a great educator/theorist as well (boh would call him 'sensei'). i wanted him to keep leading kamiband and kariband and to establish a new metal genre, maybe 'jazz metal'? what a big loss. rip.
The first solo was Mikio playing from a previously filmed video, the guitar that is being played was his,and you commented you could see the emotion in the guitarist face, you can because he was crying, Mikio was his mentor and he loved him. Great song, great tribute
That is so sad, I wish I realized what was really going on when listening to this song. I loved the performance so much🤩 He did it justice, I would of lost it on stage...😢Alan
At the end of the epic instrumental, you saw Mikios guitar being held up to the crowd. Takayoshi played mikios guitar for this tune. A very emotionally charged moment for the whole band and all the fans. RIP Mikio, a guitaring great taken from us in such a tragic way. 💔💔
You know, During this CoronaVirus Apocalypse of the Bizzaro World I started watch more UA-cam and came across the hidden world of the Japanese Rock Scene. One of those groups was Babymetal and the Kami Band. Along with this comes the other world of "Reactors".. Your channel was one of them. Most of these Reactors are fake posers looking for a "LIKE" and then there are others who are real and true looking for good videos / music. I would believe you guys fall in the later category. But man, you really Dropped the ball here. For real ... 2:12 While his friend (Takayoshi Ohmura) is playing his (Mikio's) guitar and crying, as he has to open the song with Mikio's part and use the whammy bar (Mikio always used it and Takayoshi hardly does) 2:19 Excited for the performance and to know its gonna be good?? For a tribute to a man that had died? 5:50 talking about Takayoshi throwing his soul in to the solo and that you teach guitar? Um you can see he is playing the rhythm part while the part you are hearing is Mikio's "harmonics and whammy bar use" pre recorded part. Then you talk about if it's recorded or not .. Except for maybe some post production polishing.. Of course it's live (Except Mikio's part) Oh and then stop the video before it's over. With just a short "Sucks about the Homie Tho" followed with SUBSRCIBE talk ... No substance or anything about him, who he was, or how he died. (He was a great guitarist, father, family man and died by accident. As I am sure others have already commented) Don't mean to go off on you guys. I know you're sometimes goofy or aloof.. But I expect more from you guys. You are suppose to be musicians, right? I know you have to get the "Likes" and the "Swipe up and Hit the Subscribe Button!".. Getting the perfect "Algorithm" while pushing your music and 19.99 ear pods with the bands name on it.. But there is more to it than that. You keep doing you.. But Substance man.. Substance. You're better than that. On the lighter side.. Nice nut scratch at the end 10:48 LOL
We will admit fault with the fact that we completely overlooked the touching tribute and the homage they payed to their fallen brother in this performance. We genuinely enjoyed this song and got caught up in it. We did not know the full story behind everything and are greatful that we have you guys to fill us in on these things. We should have definitely gone into this one with a different mentality for sure. Thanks for calling us out and filling us in. ✌❤ P.S. those are Apple AirPods Pro
The first solo is a backing track of Mikio's solo and the guitar in the hand of Takayoshi Ohmura belongs to him and in many shows he uses it to show that Mikio is still part of the band.
I appreciate your reaction to this performance. As snooze_dogg explained below the tittle "Hill of Wisteria" comes from Mikio's family name. As many viewers commented here Ohmura is playing Mikio's ESP Snapper-7 Fujioka Custom and a piece of cigarette is always attached behind the neck because Mikio liked smoking. I actually saw Ohmura using this guitar in BABYMETAL concert on Jan. 25 this year at the venue and I read an article reporting he played 6 songs with this that day. Thanks from Japan 有難う💛。 Coincidentally I am going to see an online concert of a band lead by BOH on Nov. 8, today (Japan time). The name of the band is not Kami band but Kari band.
Nice! Enjoy that show! Can I ask you a favor, given that you are in Japan? I saw another comment talk about what the Kami's did for Mikio's parents, setting up the online ordering and shipping for their business and I would love to help out. Obviously, they can't ship food overseas without a lot of issues. What I would like to do is order it and ask that they deliver it to a charity that accepts food donations, or something like what we call a food pantry here in the U.S. where poor families can go and get food for free to feed themselves and their kids. The problem is that I can't read a word of Japanese, so when I try to look those places up, I have no clue if they are correct or not. All I'm asking is that you could search up any charities or food pantries in the Awaji Island area that they could deliver/ship to and let me know the name of it, maybe even the address so I can put it in my order details for them. If not, that is totally fine and thanks for at least reading this.
@@chrisharris1522 Oh! again. When I attach a link, sometimes my message was blocked. I replied to you the following message 14 hours ago. (I deleted only link). It was very good performance. *********** @Chris Harris It's a streaming live, so I believe it's available for overseas viewer. It is being organized by a company "Livepocket-ticket" so you may find their site and register you as a member and buy a ticket through your PC. (ticket means a e-mail providing a URL to access the show). I now confirmed that there is a switch to select the language in the Livepocket-ticket. Cost of the "Kari band" ("Temporary BAND" in English) is 3,500 Japanese yen (= $35). Once you buy a ticket you can enjoy the show for a week until Nov.15 (Japan time). Here is the link, and I believe language switch locates at right below on the screen. (link deleted)
Takayoshi Ohmura added this song to his cd I R I S which is a greatest hits of his euchre an awesome album too. Also can’t say for the rest of them but I did meet another Kami Band member Leda and he was super humble so I’d assume they are pretty humble.
They first time played without masks. Nothing to cheer up and have a Party… You could imagine, trhat this man was very young and really too young to die!
If somebody can correct me or somethng, this whole event was for mikio correct? Mannn the emotions yoi can just see and feel... RIP Mikio sama... You are always remembered.. Great reaction again guys. Is starlight up next for babymetal?
Takayoshi Umhura , Bassist BOH and Hidecki Aoyama , along with Mikio Fujioka are probably the premier power band on the planet. These men's work was very instrumental to Babymetal's rise. They played like an octopus , 8 arms from one unit......
That was great. All amazing musicians. Mikio was a very good guitarist. Kinda like you mentioned in the video, a lot of people can get technically good. But feel goes a long way. Marty Friedman being I guess one of my favourite examples. Cool video
You guy's are into the head banging so much, you couldn't see the emotion in their faces, Takayosha the guitar player was crying at the loss of his best friend and mentor Mikio while playing Miklos guitar. Then you stopped the tape before it was over.. the first solo was a recording of Mikio Fujioka ... he was the best.. the emotion they showed at the end was heart breaking...
Marty Friedman just release the new song, "Perfect World". Please react this song. Marty Friedman is ex-Megadeth guitarist and lives in Japan more than 15 years. By the way, he loves Maximum The Hormone too.
We didn't and we apologize for that. The music was just so good we failed to take that into account. We reacted to it again. It might still be up on our channel. In our live videos.
As many fans have said the guitar Takayoshi is playing was indeed Mikio’s and came from his wife. Under the back plate there is a note from Mikio’s daughter to her dad that will forever be with the little God as his guitar will always be with Takayoshi whenever he plays. It’s true he was his mentor but also was teaching guitar to both Yui and Moa who can be seen playing the guitar in some Babymetal videos. The shirts they wore had Mikio over the moon with wings in honor of him. It’s a good reaction video as always but feels like the significance of this moment may have been lost. The first solo was Mikio’s right out of the gate and as others have noted the raw emotion he displays is genuine and pure as a friend, brother and mentor that was lost all to soon. RIP Little God.
Those guitar faces? Those were not guitar faces, that was the face of a man breaking. I mean he’s playing Mikios guitar while playing Mikios song, while being Mikios student/protege and having just lost the man… 😭
You guys completely missed the point of this performance. He's crying his heart out on stage and you guys are wooooing like it's some random slayer riff going on.
@@sumoayui463 all good it is a very emotional subject, I have to confess I get pretty upset at comments some reactors say at times too just have to remind myself that they just don’t know all that I do but hopefully they are interested enough to learn. I feel you on this fam we just really enjoyed the song. We completely overlooked the tribute part of it. We appreciate you calling us out on it. Everyone's been making sure we understand. ✌❤
You haven't seen Dicodec reactions to BabyMetal songs. There's been plenty of tears shed on account of Mikio's guitar playing. Try "No Rain, No Rainbow" and "The One" from the Legend S - Baptism XX. Those two songs were part of Mikio's last performance before his untimely death.

This is why the Japanese Kami Band will always be the superior Kami Band.

Nah, don't do that. I like both of them East & West Kami band (maybe like the Japanese Kami a bit more).

The guitar that Ohmura was playing is Mikio ESP Red Snapper. Such an emotional tribute!
Mad respect and a great tribute
Takayoshi Ohmura was Mikio's understudy. The emotion was not just in his guitar playing. It was clearly visible on his face.

2:12 While his friend (Takayoshi Ohmura) is playing his (Mikio's) guitar and crying, as he has to open the song with Mikio's part and use the whammy bar (Mikio always used it and Takayoshi hardly does)
2:19 Excited for the performance and to know its gonna be good?? For a tribute to a man that had died?
5:50 talking about Takayoshi throwing his soul in to the solo and that you teach guitar? Um you can see he is playing the rhythm part while the part you are hearing is Mikio's "harmonics and whammy bar use" pre recorded part.
Then you talk about if it's recorded or not .. Except for maybe some post production polishing.. Of course it's live (Except Mikio's part)
Oh and then stop the video before it's over. With just a short "Sucks about the Homie Tho" followed with SUBSRCIBE talk ... No substance or anything about him, who he was, or how he died. (He was a great guitarist, father, family man and died by accident. As I am sure others have already commented)
Don't mean to go off on you guys.
P.S. those are Apple AirPods Pro
神 band、kami band、God band
Agreed 🤘Alan
Ohmura is crying and playing the guitar of his mentor, Fujioka
Omura said before the song「I'd like to end with this song for the sake of Mr. Fujioka, who is in our hearts.」
Crying guitar 😢😭 little god forever 🦊🤘🦊
Thanks from Japan 有難う💛。
Coincidentally I am going to see an online concert of a band lead by BOH on Nov. 8, today (Japan time). The name of the band is not Kami band but Kari band.
is this available to overseas viewers?
@@chrisharris1522 Were you able to have access to streaming concert through the link I attached yesterday?
@@flugelhornoldman1362 no I didn’t see a link, was it a good show?
@@chrisharris1522 Oh! again. When I attach a link, sometimes my message was blocked. I replied to you the following message 14 hours ago. (I deleted only link). It was very good performance.
***********
@Chris Harris It's a streaming live, so I believe it's available for overseas viewer.
Unfortuantely this video seems to not be available anymore in youtube. I had seen it months ago, but can't find it anymore.
Yes, sadly it was blocked shortly after we went live. Apologies for the inconvenience.
Takayoshi Ohmura added this song to his cd I R I S which is a greatest hits of his euchre an awesome album too. Also can’t say for the rest of them but I did meet another Kami Band member Leda and he was super humble so I’d assume they are pretty humble.
KAMI BAND = BABYMETAL, nice react man!
there is so much emotion on that guitar play man 😭😭
❤️
🤘🦊🤘每次看都會流淚
MIKIO FUJIOKA FOREVER!!!
🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

They first time played without masks. Nothing to cheer up and have a Party… You could imagine, trhat this man was very young and really too young to die!
The faces that he doing are because he Is cryng

If somebody can correct me or somethng, this whole event was for mikio correct? Mannn the emotions yoi can just see and feel... RIP Mikio sama... You are always remembered..
Great reaction again guys. Is starlight up next for babymetal?
Yes they do shows where the proceeds go to Mikio's widow
@@chrisharris1522 that's amazing! they seem to be quite honourable people, doing what they can to help out their best friend's family too.
Are you not sad
Ohmura is playing while crying
Watch till the end
That's what this kami-band looks like
Thank you for your tribute to 藤岡幹夫 ❤️from🇯🇵
Of course! It was an amazing performance😁Alan
Awesome! Pure awesome!
Omura's passion is amazing
he cry,dude!!!
Must be hard to play with your friend's guitar but not seeing him on stage with you.
RIP Mikio
Yup 😭
Takayoshi is so emotional because he s playing Mikio s Guitar ,,, they where best friends ,,,
That's true didn't take that into account
Kami band members can walk into any band. Any band.
This is Awesome!
Right! This band always kicks so much assa
Where can I watch the video pls, I can’t find it anymore
Sadly it was taken down 😭
@@dicodec oh no... i think they’re releasing a dvd of the concert and it’s probably on there...
He play his guitar so crying😭😭😭🙏
It's so emotional 😭
Marty Friedman just release the new song, "Perfect World". Please react this song. Marty Friedman is ex-Megadeth guitarist and lives in Japan more than 15 years. By the way, he loves Maximum The Hormone too.
And Takayoshi use to play with Marty during a few tours.
I feel their emotions when they start to play Takaoshi is crying...😥R..i.P Mikio..
then you shoud try Mikio Fujioka - Harmony X
Where is the original video ?
It got taken down it looks like 😭
ありがとう(*꒦ິㅂ꒦ີ)💓
We're glad you enjoyed this reaction. Thank you!
泣かせる。
Lol these guys didn’t realized this was a mikio’s tribute and they were going tru their emotions and that was mikio’s guitar RIP🤘🏻🖤
We didn't and we apologize for that. The music was just so good we failed to take that into account. We reacted to it again. It might still be up on our channel. In our live videos.
@@dicodec im gonna look up for it you guys are awesome🤘🏻
fuck sake!!!! this is too good!!! damn!!
RIP Mikio :(
Right!

Kami Band and Gacharic Spin
From Gacharic Spin Official channel
Truly a beautiful gesture 😭
Those guitar faces? Those were not guitar faces, that was the face of a man breaking. I mean he’s playing Mikios guitar while playing Mikios song, while being Mikios student/protege and having just lost the man… 😭
You guys completely missed the point of this performance. He's crying his heart out on stage and you guys are wooooing like it's some random slayer riff going on.
Don’t be too hard on them they didn’t know it’s our job to inform them, Babymetal is about being inclusive, we don’t want to be pushing people away
@@chrisharris1522 You are right. I'm sorry if it sounds too harsh.
@@sumoayui463 all good it is a very emotional subject, I have to confess I get pretty upset at comments some reactors say at times too just have to remind myself that they just don’t know all that I do but hopefully they are interested enough to learn. Some don’t even bother to read our comments and are only doing it for the clicks I have no time for them
I feel you on this fam we just really enjoyed the song.
笑顔でオーサムとか言われても違和感しかない。
