One of the best 'Live' versions of this song was done in a 2006 concert they did in the Dutch land, my opinion. Here's the link. What you think? (use headphones) Us Baby Boomers are lucky, since we have lived in the best era of music re pop, blues, rock etc. The "Kids" of today get to listen to it, but we LIVED it baby, yeah!
They took this song to another level ,doing it on acoustic gutiars.Fantastic gutiar work, singing, and entertainment. Thank you Golden Earring for all these years of wonderful songs and music. thanks for the video. from the USA.
awesome song !! A true sign of a great song , when it can be just as powerful acoustically as electric . and also stay true to the original recorded version.. lots of rock songs have to be reworked to come up with something different. This being a very basic song ,it still has a lot to offer just being played acoustically ... LOVE these guys , wish they would tour the States one more time !!
😂60 years later, you guys still have my heart✨💝✨ you can imagine how much FUN this is to see, and hear you guys again😂🤣😅🤩First, and last time was at “The Trolly” on 4th Ave. Seattle Washington😆👏👏👏🙌‼️ Rinus took my hand from the stage, and asked me to introduce You Guy’s to the crowd😂 My heart melted. I was only 17 , and it was so great to be asked😂. truly it was an honor and I’ve got such great memories of you guys playing there. I think my sister and I missed like tonight when you guys were there. You guys are a memory that has lasted a lifetime☺️🤩🙌 ✨God Bless you all, and your family’s✨ WHAT A TRIP🤯😂💝
P.s. My heart💝/💔, goes out to George and his family😔😪💐 Hopefully, you can find a bit of “FUN, CRAZY, COMFORT, knowing you, and your family, have a fan from 60 years ago😂, halfway across the world, who is now going to, “FAITHFULLY”, hold you all up in prayer🙏✨ Until forever, Diane 🌷
Amen. Literally grew up with Golden Ear Ring in a very small town in Northwest Indiana. Made an impact on my life. This song and the others take me back to a better place and time. So glad I can close my eyes listen and it takes me right back. George and his family are also in my prayers now in the Deep South Alabama!
Whoa whoa whoa oh ho ho, Whoa whoa whoa ,Oooohhhh.I always loved the Golden Earring Band so much.their singing ability, over the top great musicans, they have it all.they have been around together as a band as long as the Rolling Stones.like the gentlemen says in the comments below.i feel in my opinion this is the best acoustic rock song ive heard on youtube. redone from original electric guitar in all these years.and from what i heard one of them read the Bourne Identity Novel and wrote this song.i love those movies . thanks for the video.
P.s. My 💝💔 heart absolutely broke tonight when I heard the devastating news about George😪. I hope he,and his family, can find a bit of fun comfort , and laughter, just knowing A fan from 60 years ago🤣, is 🙏praying for you on the other side of the world
Love that song.....the 80's music video for this song was what turned me on to Golden Earring. It was simple and brilliant. When I hear this I can't help but look for the chicks to come out dancing during the interrogation.
Damn, this is absolutely on point, my fave version of their song. How can you watch and not feel as if you are there. Everybody doing their thing on point, the vibe is incredible.
LOL. So then, you have 7 hours a week that are free to get some sleep... or listen to Radar Love... while you're driving... in your sleep... or you can just idle the car in the driveway and pretend.
when we blinked the dream justbegan walk to the e.r. ain,t nothing like that recall of gun shot wound, the noise, the numb the dumb, the cool brilliance of needle cut and paste, this song was my teenlife. 86 and justtotal reverence for dutch discipline ,and their coherence that makes every dream real.
I also quit 23 years ago, took it up again 2 years ago and quit again in January. The second time is even harder so don't try it again. It's amazing how addictive it is.
(somewhere in a lonely hotel room, There's a guy starting to realize That eternal fate has turned its back on him, It's two a.m...........) It's two a.m., the fear has gone I'm sittin' here waitin', the gun still warm Maybe my connection is tired of takin' chances Yeah there's a storm on the loose, sirens in my head I'm wrapped up in silence, all circuits are dead I cannot decode, my whole life spins into a frenzy Help I'm steppin' into the twilight zone The place is a madhouse, feels like being cloned My beacon's been moved under moon and star Where am I to go, now that I've gone too far Help I'm steppin' into the twilight zone The place is a madhouse, feels like being cloned My beacon's been moved under moon and star Where am I to go, now that I've gone too far Soon you will come to know, When the bullet hits the bone Soon you will come to know, when the bullet hits the bone I'm falling down a spiral, destination unknown A double-crossed messenger, all alone I can't get no connection, can't get through, where are you Well the night weighs heavy on his guilty mind This far from the borderline And when the hit man comes He knows damn well he has been cheated Help I'm steppin' into the twilight zone The place is a madhouse, feels like being cloned My beacon's been moved under moon and star Where am I to go, now that I've gone too far Help I'm steppin' into the twilight zone The place is a madhouse, feels like being cloned My beacon's been moved under moon and star Where am I to go, now that I've gone too far Soon you will come to know, when the bullet hits the bone Soon you will come to know, when the bullet hits the bone
For all these years I thought they were saying: Help I'm slippin' into the twilight zone, place is a madhouse, feels like King Kong, my fingers can't move, help me move this car, where am I to go now that I've gone too far, so you were gonna know...... when the bullet hits the bone (Know some of it don't make sense but a creative songwriter doesn't necessarily have to)
at around 03:01 one of the best, slow building, instrumental intermezzos I have ever heard starts... Does anybody know if they ever recorded that in some way or another?
Look Kids real Musicians!!!! Love these Guys since the 70's

HA HA great comment. And it's The Naked Truth! Rock on Sir!
Professor Wolf: There’s also a great concert vid that includes three spectacular girls on stage. The talent from those days is pure gold.

Not all people sound as good in a public as they do on the record or radio. They rock it!
Golden Earring doing an acoustic Twilight Zone live at a hashish bar.....it does not get any better than that!
Probably the best bass line ever written in music history
along with Radar Love?
'Radar Love' has some nice bass riffs as well. I think Barry's voice would lend itself very well to the blues/rock genre.
Pretty sure it is.
Schade, daß es die Band nicht mehr gibt.😢 Hoffe nur, daß der Sänger noch ein langes beschwerdefreies Leben im Kreise seiner Lieben hat.
I thought I had seen every version of Golden Earring doing this song, but this is a new one on me.
I never realized until I started watching live performances of this song that it was sung by 2 guys. Cool! Thanks.
Ditto. Looking for second vocalist
An excellent live performance by the only band from Holland to break into the U.S. top ten twice!!

This is one of the best 'Live' versions of this song, from a 2006 Dutch concert. ua-cam.com/video/0YAEGT5p-vs/v-deo.html
LOL. So then, you have 7 hours a week that are free to get some sleep... or listen to Radar Love... while you're driving... in your sleep... or you can just idle the car in the driveway and pretend.

Soon you will come to know,
When the bullet hits the bone

I'm falling down a spiral, destination unknown
A double-crossed messenger, all alone
I can't get no connection, can't get through, where are you

This far from the borderline
And when the hit man comes
He knows damn well he has been cheated
Help I'm steppin' into the twilight zone

My beacon's been moved under moon and star
Where am I to go, now that I've gone too far

músicos haciendo música para su público, sin la parafernalia multimedia. Diferencia de años luz con los bodrios actuales.
The bass player would make an awesome crossing guard
Genieten dit
at around 03:01 one of the best, slow building, instrumental intermezzos I have ever heard starts... Does anybody know if they ever recorded that in some way or another?
Original record is roughly the same
Hahaha
This song and all the other GA classics are recorded on the album The Naked Truth.
