The hoverboard is an amazing piece of technology. It has two powerful electric motors, self balancing technology and a high capacity battery. All in a compact and affordable package.
Hoverboards have become incredibly fast, but reaching their top speeds means risking your safety. With hoverboard conversion kits, you can squeeze out more fun and max out their speed.
The commercial kits allow you to use your hoverboard as a go-kart, e-bike, mobility scooter or even a powered dolly.
This is the hoverkart by Hover Powered, which turns your board into a go-kart. This kit can easily attach and detach. Leaving your hoverboard untouched.
The hoverkart lets you max out the speed of your board, because you don't fear falling from bumps, and potholes. In addition, it feels a lot faster than standing, because you're inches from the ground.
This kit turns your hoverboard into an e-bike. Or a mobility scooter, depending on who uses it. It is the HoverBike 2.0, and it is marketed for the whole family, including older individuals, with mobility problems. You navigate using only your feet. Which also lets you reverse. HoverBike can be used on or off-road. And can ride over grass, gravel, and packed sand.
The HoverSeat XL is another kit that transforms a hoverboard into a portable mobility kart. It is a light aluminum frame which fits easily in the trunk of the car. When you want to use it, simply attach it to the bar in the center of your hoverboard with the specially adapted clamp. Flip up the back rest, and you are ready to go. HoverSeat comes with a soft and comfy sport seat. With generous back pack storage. And armrest pouch, with space for a bottle. HoverSeat works well for towing a wheeled cart to transport bags, boxes, groceries, or heavy tools. Unfortunately, as with the HoverBike, brakes are not provided, which might be an issue on steep hills, specially when daisy-chained to other HoverSeats.
Other hoverboard conversion kits include the hover cooler, which is a cooler attachment with its cover serving as a seat. This is a smart idea, but it only serves very specific needs.
These additional kits from hover buddies are very useful, but they never made it to production.

I think this would be great for senior citizens who can’t walk very far. My uncle would probably get a kick out of this. He used to love walking every day but doesn’t get to go out as much as he’d like to now, since a stroke from a few years ago. I’m seriously considering buying two of these hoverboards now. From the looks of this thing, I might be getting his life insurance check sooner than I’d anticipated.
This is such a great idea! I found this looking for ideas to help an amputee get around more easily. We cant afford an electric wheelchair but hoverboards are a fraction of the price. Thanks so much for sharing. Going to look into building options now!
As much as it seems s great idea the distance and battery life of many of these boards do not warrant a proper use by a disabled person. It will fail when they need it most basically. With even short prolonged use can dramatically reduce battery lifespan and engine strength.
Honestly there are so many electric wheel and engine solutions out there now ( I.e get a non electric wheel chair and get electric powered bike wheels which assist pushing or can move alone) or there are many many better forms of electric seated scooters

Also it seems like these are still powered by both legs. If the person needing it is an amputee( I'm assuming only has one leg) then than this is probably not the best solution. If they have a fake leg I'm not sure how this would work either.

Also I'm looking for the breaks on this go cart conversion... Do they have brakes or do you just stop applying pressure to the hoverboard? I want to get this for my son.
@@ninawisniewski9197 the special kits for the elderly can have a handle attached to the board so u can.use ur hands to get the board to go forward, stop or reverse. They are more upright and not as slick as the go kart version shown in this video. That modification definitely isn't going to have people doing doughnuts but the point in my instance is to assist and not provide entertainment. For regular use by a kid I'm not sure. I did watch a few tutorials on mods. I think the one guy did add a break.

My paint is scratched be cause it rolls when I fall off

It's a conversion kit not a complete hover kart build, that means you only get the attachment, not the board itself.
I had one and I did a wheely and I hit a bump and the front tire fell off and oil came out and I was empty cause I ran by my friends mom😂

Perhaps because it's like hovering as you traverse terrain. Inline street skating is like that. It can be surreal, like gliding along as if you are in a video game.
