Saw them live in 1998 in Riverside California. The only people in the audience were me and my three best friends and maybe 5 other people. Everyone was on Spring Break and the band didn’t know till they do to the school. They still played a full set anyway!! Got to play the Street Fighter Arcade with Jason after the show. Best memory ever!!!
We opened for Samiam at the Euclid Tavern in Cleveland in 2001. They asked us to be their opener from that show on for the rest of their tour. Most unfortunately (singer was about to have a baby) we had to decline. Will always regret and wonder what if. They are the most under appreciated and underrated punk band in history.
Amazing memory. Thanks for sharing. They will FOREVER, be one of my all time favorites. Thank you, Samiam. You played many places in New Brunswick, NJ, one of which was an sold barn (the Red Barn, I believe?) in NJ. Helluva show as the others at the Melody Bar. RIP
Absolutely agree. Of all the bands I’ve been into over the years (I’m pushing 1/2 a century) they remain the most consistently listenable and emotionally rewarding. The songs take on new meaning for me as the years pass. I’m into every genre of music to some degree and I’d say theirs are among the best tunes of I’ve ever heard. The songwriting is up there with the country greats. (The squalling guitars have a similar effect on me as pedal steel. The performances are some of the best of the rock era. An absolutely amazing band.
"Routine" from that album was the first song I heard from them, back in 95. It was in a skate video and it's still one of the best songs of theirs. Great band!
@@islamicsalami7208 ya, great band. I was 14, saw the cd-cover from clumsy while smokin pot and hanging` out with an older skater guy in his room at his home and i like it so much that i want to hear that, haha...so i heard them the first time and i was hyped 🔥 i like their phase from +clumsy to +you r freakin me out to +astray the most. all before and after that is not that well for me

Top 5 punk bands of all time for me, maybe not cut and dry punk but definitely the ethos and spirit 100%
