At 5:40 I laughed heartily at the image of Northernlion walking into a store holding a pot, throwing it at the cashier who doesn't even flinch as it breaks on the wall right next to his head, then running out for a moment and nonchalantly walking back in, both of them acting as if nothing happened.
Holy crap! You jumped on that bird man's head, whipped him, threw him, blew him up, and dumped him in lava. This just may be a more violent game than GTA.
the amazing thing about this game is you can watch how much better he gets from episode to episode. that makes for the most rewarding experience i guess
I'm just waiting for his reaction for when he finds out what the 3rd thing the Tunnel Man needs for the Temple shortcut is. I know I flipped a few metaphorical tables, lol.
after around 200 deaths and couple of hours playing, i can proudly announce: i have never made it past 1-1 without loosing health and i have never made it to the jungle. FML
"Feels like the fourth of July" lets you climb inside the alien space craft to access a secret level. Also, you're going to absolutely love the third condition for the tunnel man shortcut to the temple.
awsom video keep it up and i got some tips for u the forth of july if u go into that tower like thing u will get into a secret level (the alien mothership) also u will get a golden monkey if u put a idol on a secrafisial altar (i think that only works in the jungle though) and if u put a damsel on a swety ruby like thing u know one of those things u can hang on u will get also in a scret level (the worm where u can unlock the meatboy character

So, now that you've reached Ice Caves, you might want to realize that you actually require items to successfully go through Ice Caves. Previous levels pretty much guarantee you an opportunity to get a cape or a jetpack. Without them the Ice Caves can be straight up impossible. Undead levels and shops are the way to go. I would suggest you start playing from the mines and go all the way though. Also, you might want to learn of the usefulness of the Udjat. It would grant you access to things.
Northernlion, some tips. That weird moai head and the golden door won't be important to you for a long time, they're purely for score. And on the psychic presence levels, if you defeat the big alien, you should be able to find a jetpack in there, which is always useful.
That "Golden block that I don't pretend to understand" is the entrance to the City of Gold. You can enter it if you have a golden sceptre, which you can get from the mummy that looks like Ra or Anubis.
Northernlion, when you get the "I feel a psychic presence" event, you should always blow up the wall behind the alien. You can get a jet pack this way, it is a really great item! :D

One tiny lapse in concentration is all it takes to send a perfect run to its doom. Maybe you should take more breaks to refresh your focus? That's what I do.

The "gold block" you saw at 15:42 was the door to it.. but no worries, you didn't have the things required to open it anyw- but about that another time! Now, that big alien in the Ice Caves is a cakewalk if you have sticky bombs, one's probably enough to kill it. And I recall there was always a Jetpack behind it, too - that is, in the PC version.

Hey Ryan, I have the same fear you have for deepsea creatures but for Insects instead. I realise that is more common but seriously, I see the smallest spider I get super freaked out and have a hard time moving my muscles, usually it's not a problem in games, it has only happened once and that was in Dark Souls in Demon Ruins before that large fire ember. When that centipede thing came down from the roof I literally turned the camera around and sat there shaking for a good couple of minutes xD
NL, you have been lied to about yetis in one way. You CAN jump on them, without spike shoes, you just have to be really careful. If you come in horizontally at all, the yeti will grab and throw you- usually a death sentence. As you saw, the yetis are, though, immune to whipping.
In the video he said he was told that "we cannot jump on them, unless we have the spiked shoes" which has nothing to do with killing them. Also not being able to kill them without spiked shoes is untrue. It takes 3 jumps on the head to kill a yeti that has full health. Spiked shoes merely allows you to kill enemies like cavemen and yetis in a single jump.
When it says it feels like the fourth of july there is an alian level you can go to. Also when you see those red gems that you can stick to if you have a damsel jump on to it then you can go to a worm level.

You really should try the flip-hang trick, you just have to crawl to the edge of a platform and you'll flip and grab it. It will save you a lot of ropes and a lot of fall damage.
Normal yetis take 3 jumps on the head to kill without the shoes, and only 1 with. Also in this video he wasn't talking about yeti kings, he was talking about the regular yetis.
