Read an interview not long after David Bowie died really struggling to remember who it was with but anyway. David Bowie went see this with his friend(guy from the interview) and Bowie as well as his friend knew at the time that he was terminally ill, apparently when he heard Changes he turned to his friend & said I’m really, really glad I wrote that song.
This musical production hopefully will tour again in the future when theatres are no longer dark. There is something about a live performance that is magical. Does anyone know if there is a dvd of Lazarus that can be purchased?
I saw the show in London yesterday. I woke up this morning overwhelmed at how utterly brilliant it is. The cast album has had mixed reviews, but I just can't stop listening to it. 10/10. Thank you!
I think I read that the cast album was recorded the day after Bowie died and they learned when they went in to the studio. Can you imagine?! How difficult it must have been to do.
Bowie would be proud 😭 Just wish I’d discovered bowie earlier but I did discover his music at the right age if anything bowie taught me that no matter what happens you’ll be more respected for being yourself at the time it felt different but I learned that bowie was right all along 🥰🥰
