According to what I heard from the great grandfather said was after the raiding of maooi or maasai after crossing siyabei river the cow gave birth and it was custom to kalenjin to leave a bull and heifer to the caretaker til on reaching maturity of the calf and the kipsigis hide the cows and we appreciate the kalenjin elders for such wonderful reconciliation process of binding the community be solidly strong enough to move forward together as one united God bless you all so much.
What about a different version of the story saying that there was some tugen coming from a raid then on their way back,at Ang'ata Barigoi, one of their cows calved down and they decided to leave it to be taken care at one of the Kipsgis people house and as per the nornalcy.a cow was not supposed to be left alone without a bull so the cow was left together with a bull....
It is said that the Bull was from a Raid of the maa Community that was left to a caretaker Kipsigis because one of the cows calved and the calf could make to Laikipia.
