Thank you so much for making a video on my game!! I was cracking up through the entire video 😂 completely accurate by all accounts. If an idea sounds fun to me, I say “Screw it” and I add it.
I just got the game recently, and have been having fun with it. Still can't figure out how to equip a spear and shield at the same time tho, maybe I'm just dub XD.
I was born in the late eighties, so I grew up partially in that era of no-fear no-sense game design, where developers just threw together some fantastic shit that they wanted to cook with. And sometimes you got Daggerfall or Faxanadu, and sometimes you got a game nobody ever heard about again. And I'm not here to say that games were just better in that age, heck no. But I will say that I truly believe that the kind of creativity and unbounded batshit fearlessness that dominated that era has been lost in the transition to a more corporate profit-driven gaming market. The irony is that the kind of creative whimsy and love that created the games that make up the foundations of gaming as a hobby is exactly the kind of elements that would never fly today. I am so happy that there's an indie scene picking up that gauntlet and slapping an ogre in the face with it.
I bought Bloodline when it first hit alpha because the attitude of "Have ALL the fun things" was immediately apparent, played it for an hour and set it aside to grow. But dang near everything in your video is brand new to me, so it's wonderful to see how quickly this game is developing!
I remember first following this game because the dev regularly posted cool if unhinged weapons and spells on twitter. I was sold when i saw a gif of him doing juggle combos on some poor bandit with shapeshifting and earthbending spells.
I bought a game called “Gedonia” yesterday, and this reminds me of that. When you look at it on screenshots it doesn’t look too good. I have to admit, it is a bit buggy. But as you play… it is enjoyable. It has good build potential. Being a mage feels powerful. It is made by one person too.
@@punani_slayer4209 I hope you will have fun with it! I got farther since the comment and I absolutelly recommend this game. I was surprised, how much fun it is. Yeah it looks a bit too old-school, but that’s part of the charm 😅
I know these comments are cliche at this point for smaller channels, but... damn dude only 14k subs?! You're funny as hell keep em coming and in a couple years imma be saying to my friends "You know I subbed to Big Rat Hole at only 14k subs" haha. Good luck man you got this!
Have you checked out Ctrl Alt Ego? The amount of creative possibilities in that game is nuts. Had to take a break every hour or so from overexerted braining. Not in a this puzzle's damn hard; but wait what if I do that, what's over there, oh so that's what that's for, wait that means I could've done that. Absolutely insanity
Might have to join that discord when I remember what my password is. I just met someone who was really wanting to work on a game to put their college learning experience to good use, and I had an idea for a fun little timewaster mobile title, so we're working on it now. Nothing mindblowing, but hopefully it'll be great anyway.
That game looks amazing! I hope that graphics style is easy on my potato of a PC. I'm being left behind by so many hella graphically gorgeous games but don't have damn money to buy them. Thanks for sharing the video!
I'm so tired of seeing those character models in every indie game. The game itself is very impressive though, surely it won't be stuck in EA for 10 years...
Developers have forgotten what terms like Placeholder and Stock mean. It's unfortunate, but it takes money to comission assets, and if you are making money, why spend it on assets at that point?
Yeah synty assets exploded recently which, good for them, has led to those models being everywhere because they are affordable. Which is a damn shame because I now have hundreds of dollars in synty assets that I can't use without looking like a bum.
If you’re developing an indie game it’s difficult to do everything on your own. I can understand why they use the assets. Also paying for custom made assets is expensive, not every indie dev can afford that.
If you're asking for game reccs, I recently played Dream Tactics on steam and really enjoyed all the time spent with it. It really allows you to go really in depth with customization for your deck and items. It's a strategy RPG though, so idk how much you are into those. Also Minishoot Adventures. It's like bullet hell meets 2d Zelda, very well polished and fun.

Been keeping my eye on this game for months now, the progress is astonishing. As someone who tried their hand at solo game dev, it truly is... astonishing.
Try Nova Drift! Very cool game by a guy named Chimeric that is nearing its completed edition :) It's a Roguelite bullet-hell set in space where you play as a living ship trying to survive infinite waves while receiving xp to upgrade, the upgrades are called mods and they are linked to trees of mods with each their upsides and downsides. It's very risk vs. reward. I have almost 400 hours in the game and think it's great. You should check it out if you're into that kinda game genre :)
I was such an idiot the first time I played Fallout, Getting to where the water chip was supposed to be and just going "uuuuuh" lol. I have no idea how people manage no-kill charisma runs either, that's insane.
:3 try checking out powershovel on ps1, It's a ps1 game just dedicated to letting you drive an excavation power shovel through a series of mini games. Fairly quick game, nice and silly and full of energy.
To me this game looks like it's all about fun and I'm all for it. I saw it was on sale and have been watching videos because I knew nothing about it and I'm like I'm going to buy it because I like fun silly games. 😜
It's an older game at this point, but you should check out Ace of Seafood. It's a completely ridiculous and cheap as dirt game that I had a fantastic time with.

I fucking love your game and support you all the way.
It's nice to see you have fun too

Would you put it on ps4?
your game is everything i hoped for an all rpg games, you understand me, i love you!!!
Take note, other devs. This is how to respond to a review of this nature! I just bought it and can't wait to have my own madcap adventures.
An omelette is just eggs and whatever else you happen to have in your fridge

Love the discovery engine concept for this channel. It's always fun to see the unique titles that crop up here
Man how dare you make me subscribe with the funny humor and absolute bangers of recommendations
Thanks for showing off the unpolished gems, makes me look forward to the rest of the year

nice CoQ shoutout
bro how are you so funny ,its honestly sad how short your vids are
I had an itch, and The Bloodline scratched it. I thought I wanted a city-builder management sim, but what I really wanted, was fun.
Wow this looks like an immediate buy for me. I'll definitely invest in this potential.
0:12 Yup, gonna go ahead and wishlist this game.
its cute hearing the missus in the background laugh at your jokes lol

really into Idle games rn, playing through Melvor Idle and this other game called Cycle Idle RPG currently. Also getting back into Project: Gorgon

Started Fallout 1 recently! Not very hidden but its really fun in the yey i've been slain by a comically large scorpion in the first 10min kinda way

@@ShadowTheLight right? Like you literally start the game surrounded by rats even. XD
Have you played ZeroRanger? I don't play a lot of shmups, but I adore this one.
Zero Ranger is HOT. Such a good game. Got into it after investigating their new game Void Stranger, which is a sokoban but crazy deep and twisty.

Jhin is pleased with this video.
Hmmm ... I'm actually thinking of picking this up on discount rn, play it once, and then let it sit and cook for a while, lol
Not a bad plan at all lol. Good sale price. I think you'd probs get your moneys worth out of it even in it's current state at that price.
