One of the best piano concerto imo. The overture is, with Tchaikovsky’s first piano concerto, the most powerful concerto opening. What a great performance.

Wunderschöne Interpretation dieses majestätischen und perfekt komponierten Konzerts mit klarem doch warmherzigem Klang des genialen Soloklaviers sowie gut vereinigten und perfekt entsprechenden Tönen der anderen Instrumente. Der zweite Satz klingt echt schön und auch himmlisch. Im Kontrast klingt der dritte Satz echt lebhaft und auch begeisternd. Der intelligente und erfahrene Dirigent leitet das ausgezeichnete Orchester im lebhaften Tempo und mit möglichst effektiver Dynamik. Die Tonqualität ist auch ziemlich hoch als eine Aufnahme von siebzig Jahren vor. Alles ist wunderbar!
