UGH.
I started this video so much time ago I don't even remember when exactly. I had lost inspiration for it after only a little, not to say that I almost gave up because of the exhausting experience of rendering a video with a very old computer. But winter always brings so many Jily/Lily/HP's feels and I'm very glad that today I finally managed to finish it. I still see a lot of little mistakes, but it comes a time when you just have to accept the things you can't change lol. So here it is! I guess you can tell I'm a bit obsessed with HP in this strange transitionary period of my life.
I used some manips that have been used already a lot, cause there are really no other to match (or maybeI'm just not capable enough lol), but some edits are "mine". Probably the deep troubled sweet sensation this song gives to me will never match with any scenes a movie can offer anyway, but I did my best to convey what I was feeling.
I tried to follow Lily's life chronologically - from her childhood to her death, and also from Petunia, to Severus, to James and finally to Harry - but in Harry's point of view, of what he knows of her directly from his very few memories, of what people have told him she was like, and of what he has imagined of her to be like. And mostly of what he has learnt from her. I had to put Harry's struggle with Voldemort's soul inside of him as well and how Lily actually has been the cause of it as much as the solution for it.
I feel like these characters will never leave me. They're not only part of my childhood, they're part of me as an adult as well. And I guess I've learnt what love can be to its fullest thanks to this incredible beautiful story a young woman decided she needed to write.
