I'm hella late, but thank you for talking about the recall issue. If you're boring or just yelling, of course they don't want to come back to you! Safety is super important in my area (LOTS... of wildlife. And not all of them safe), so e-collar training has been awesome and incredibly positive. No yelling, no hurting, no scare tactics... just awesome recall (with an o-shit button). But it all starts with making coming to you a fun experience. I'd like to think the general public is catching up and getting better educated on dog training with all the free resources out there!
There is so much joy in your videos... It's wonderful! Love how you interact with your doggos. Love your playfulness! Thank you for such uplifting vids.
I don't put anything on my pups paws but I will wash the salt off her paws if we're walking in the neighborhood. I ALWAYS make sure that the salt is animal friendly in case she tries to lick it off or something. In our neighborhood everyone uses pet friendly de ice because there are so many pups. Lol we even have put up little poop bag stations out. We live in an excellent place and no its not a rich one. Lol just a loving community with a few who hate finding poop in their yard. Lol
A dog's trust is created by the experience of being fed, being safe with this person, and having fun together. An important foundation for training is to make sure that you are taking good care of your dog, such as feeding and walking him, that you are not putting him in danger, and that you are having fun playing with him. For this reason, it is important to take good care of your dog, love it, and gain its trust. When your dog trusts you and feels that you are willing to follow him, he will become mentally stable and listen to you. If you have a trusting relationship with your dog, it will be easier to train him, and the more you train him, the stronger the relationship will become.🐕🐕🐕🐕🐕🐕
Alright, get them out there in the field where that "clumpy" kind of grass grows and with the course ground around the forest trees. Both provide good traction for them in the snow. Yep, that close paw grooming is vitral for Winter! These dogs can take the cold and do love it in the snow. Your gauge of it being too cold for you so must be too cold for them, is a good one follow. Good to see your dogs enjoying themselves as dogs! Thanks for the video!
I had to put boots on my Aussie as her paws did crack, not sure if it was from ice or salt on the roads. They are healing nicely so unless it -20 she won’t need to wear them.
I was expecting my puppy to fully hate the snow becouse of the cold but surprisingly it's one of her absolute favourite things, and it just makes me so happy since I genuinely like it as well ^^
Yes this is so helpful! I’ve been watching y’all for about 1 1/2 years now and im so glad to see you do another Dogmas! I know it’s hard work to upload everyday but thanks for the content
My Quinn is 8 and loves the snow, Ranger hasn’t seen snow yet! Unfortunately it hasn’t snowed yet this year but hopefully soon because I know he will love it! We love your videos so much! Thank you for all of the wonderful content 🧡
I can’t imagine putting a coat on mine, he would hate that. My last dog was a Jack Russell and I would only put a coat on her when it was super cold. Here in Southeast Minnesota, we barely have any snow yet. Spunky loves fall and winter if it is too cold I’ll pull the cars out of the garage and play ball in there. I also had my backyard fenced in this summer so he could go out but he doesn’t like going out without me. Definitely keeping the hair between the pads trimmed is the most important thing. Summer was more of a struggle 6 a.m. dog park then again at 8:30 p.m.
There's great paw wax that keeps ice balls from forming, AND protects the paws from chemical burns from the salt and sand on the roads. Super important, as they can get cracked and damaged: the de-icing chemicals are not good for dogs. They also moisturize. Some popular brands are Pawz and Musher's Secret. :) Might be helpful to you guys!
I have been watching your videos for a little over a year! You really inspire me every day!! 🙌🏻 I love when you post, its always the highlight of my day!!🐾🙌🏻❤️💜
people always criticize the way i train my dog because i don’t yell at him when he’s “acting up” - same goes for the deep loud yelling for your dog to come back 😂
Want to know how do you deal with all the “dingle balls” that accumulates on their legs? It can be comical how many get on my two Mini Aussies after playing in the snow. 💖
Hey franks the cutest. I’m getting an Aussie male named Apollo in less than 2 weeks and I have never been so excited. I know all the basic tips do you have any in depth tips that would really help me with him! Would appreciate it, thank you
HOW LONG DID IT TAKE YOU TO GET COMFORTABLE FOR THEM TO WALK OFF LEASH IN AN OPEN AREA? HOW DID YOU GET THEM TO BOTH RECALL SO WELL? I HAVE AN AUSSIE AND I FEEL HE WILL BE GOOD OFF LEASH, BUT HIS RECALL NEEDS WORK
How much do Indie and Frankie weigh? I’m getting to pick a mini aussie soon and I’m having a hard time deciding to go bigger or smaller between two different litters.
@@FrankieToTheMoon Thks for the answer… I will never understand why breeders does it! Poor Doggy .. but with you they are both happy and you are a really good Dog Owner. 🐶🍀 Greetings from Europe.🎄
Who said that tone change doesn't work? I was implying that yelling at your dogs in an aggressive manor more and more when they aren't listening doesn't work. That isn't a tone change when that is your only tone lol

I can't wait to play with mine in the snow! My parent's mini loves to catch snowballs when the snow is packy enough. Good tip about the paw hair!
I throw snowballs at Frankie all day to the point where I’m pitching it and he’s catching! It’s so funny
I absolutely love your videos Joey!
I love the videos, I watch every single one you post now!
I appreciate it!
I love the back to back to back posts!!! Would love to see videos on training a puppy ! Cant wait for Merlin!
I appreciate you watching and supporting
spiky ice, reagents and salt most big problem. Socks for long distance walks on mountains or icy snow its a bis.
also wax cream also good.
A little unrelated but I was wondering how often do you brush your dogs? because they are beautiful!

I feel like people yell not out of a training technique but out of frustration haha

Frankie is 40lbs and Indie is 24lbs!
What happens to their tails???
Indie was adopted so we will never know, and Frankie was docked by the breeder.

TONE CHANGE DOES WORK, SMH, JUST LIKE HUMANS, THEY KNOW IF YOUR DEMEANOR HAS CHANGED. In fact its huge and very important.
