    Better than Omnisphere.. ? Idk
    I know what your saying tho, Triton has all those hit sounds that are easy to use and tons of them but Omnispheres got richer quality sounds imo.. now if we are talking about Korgs Kronos that’s a different story but it’s not a plug-in.. triton has more go to stuff and readily available but honestly I don’t think I could trade my Omnisphere for Triton.. My man love your videos, you inspire me to be a better producer. Much respect ✊

    The Korg Collection is definitely a solid, versatile familiar sound pallet and Omnisphere is a whole other type of juggernaut. The fact that Omnisphere can automatically randomly generate totally unique new custom sounds is super dope too. Being somewhat of a 'sound addict' I had to get them both. LOL. Good video!

    Hello. My name is Amadeus e.d.p and I am the Audio Architect behind the worlds first Seventh Generation synthesizer SKYFALL. I have no horse in this particular race, but I can assure you the Triton VST is nowhere near the quality level of Omnisphere. We’re talking about samples using an order or magnitude more data. For realism. For multi-samples. For velocity switching. I’m shocked at this video because the Triton is one of the worst VST’s we’ve tested in our labs. I would put it on the level of that synth that always cost $10 from Protools back in the day.

      Great question... I think its great and if decide to put in the work you wont be a beginner forever.. I love it with Ableton and I use to use it with Logic Pro...It's an investment if you know you're not planning to REALLY grow and music is more of hobby don't get it... but if you're serious and you want to grow as producer and keyboardist go for it!! • @squeakD

    I guess the value in this software depends on your approach to it, and what you expect to get from it. Some are going to say it’s a bargain because of what the actual keyboard costs. Some will say it’s too expensive because the sounds are dated. One positive thing that doesn’t often get mentioned is the inclusion of the entire expansion board series. My biggest complaint isn’t the price (anymore). It’s the lack of a proper 16 part Multi Mode. Currently you only get 8 parts per instance, using the Combi Mode. I’ve also noticed an issue with the string resonance MFX on some piano patches.

    • @SweetScaleTV

    Wow this was great stuff. I just dug out my Korg triton ProX 88 for my boys to mess with. I've contemplated selling it to get back into some newer gear. Bought that thing with some graduation money back in 2001. Played a ton of gigs with it. The wurlitzers and organs were always my favorites. The pianos definitely lacked. Someone made a piano sample library called rosin pianos that made up for it.

  • @MrFatshit6
    @MrFatshit6 4 роки тому +1

    I think that I actually use the Triton and u-he Diva more than I use Omnisphere anymore, honestly. The basses and organs alone in the Triton are fantastic! Not dogging on Omnisphere whatsoever but the older and more experienced I get with song-writing, the more I end up coming back to familiar sounds and a more stripped down workflow.

    I've been a proud owner of the triton before I had to sell all my hardware. It definitely has it's qualities and power and sound palette, but omnisphere is quite a different beast with lots of crazy atmospheres , hits and textures that are in many ways more deep than what's present in a Triton. And I even had the MOSS board that has a pretty distinct style as well. You can't beat TRITON if it comes to make allround music styles because it has a larg amount of to the point drumkits and ranges of keyboards, synths and pads etdc. But omnisphere is more specialized for film music.
    I'm happy to have been able to add the triton to my vst collection

    Awesome! I still have my original Korg Triton keyboard stashed away. Stopped using it because it was hard to integrate into a VST environment and got tired of recording through the analog outputs for every track so this plugin is a super bonus in that you can get more than one instance on discreet mixer channels. I Transferred to Omnisphere but found that the sound choices on Omnisphere ware super limited but at the same time broad in a textural way. To my ears It really only does one sort of (Ethereal??) sound very well and that's it to me. My Triton gave me so many more diverse sounds even without any expansions added to it. It also did ethereal evolving pads very well too! To the people here who defend Omnisphere, they really cannot be compared. Omnisphere is an amazing "interesting" Synth, not a library of bread and butter sounds and then some. Will add this baby back to my arsenal and it's great since I've been feeling super nostalgic lately. BTW I'm still hearing crap-loads of these sounds on records today so it definitely hasn't dated!

    • @Ast3rixMusic
      @Ast3rixMusic 4 роки тому +3

      Arturia collection is a software emulation of some classic synths. Arturia has made each emulation almost exact as the original and added some new synthesis tweaking as well. You can't compare any of these to another they are unique and every developer does something different in their efforts to emulate the real hardware. This is one reason why I saved up and just purchased them all. When I need a specific sound I look at different packages. If you have a more budget conscious view then you need to decide what will work in your setup and go for it.

    Maybe other hardware synths also have this sound so I think liquid low range sound is big strength of hardware synth.

    The Triton alone is worth the price, but with the M1 and the Wavestation, it is a no brainer if you are into the Korg sounds. Then with the other classics thrown in, you can pretty much produce an entire album's worth of orchestration with just this one VST collection.
