Great review STS once again. I luuuuuve the Be Quiet coolers and yes that screwdriver is by far the best tool on the planet! I use it for handyman jobs as well as aaaaall my pc builds. I agree the cross-bar mount needs to be secured to the heat sink frame cpu mount point! That’s my only gripe with the Be Quiet coolers. It looks like your right again STS, Be Quiet is competing against itself with these 2 Rock coolers
I got the white version of this cooler, which comes with the black 1600 rpm fan. I put a white shadow wings 1100 rpm fan instead. Still works great of course.
The subtle cut in Thiccness :smirk: I see you STS
Do anyone know if this would work okay with the Ryzen 7700X ? In a corsair 4000D airflow case
Would it be good option for i7 14700K ?
The best screwdrivers I own both came from fans.
The first is Dark Rocks extendo neck, the second came with a ceiling fan I bought for a guest room- it has this *fat* rounded square shaped handle that's so perfect for creating maximum hand torque.
Just installed the white version and it’s very quiet! My old cool master air cooler sounded like a jet engine turbine. This is So much better! Also averaging 60 degree Celsius when gaming in 1440p.
Hi is it compatible with M5A78L-M/USB3 (AM3R2) motherboard? Thank you!
Should be, should be just a regular AM3
just wondering will this fit a P500A case??? And my ram is 51mm high, is that gonna be a problem?
This cooler is asymetric, meaning it doesn't protude over the ram sticks. So the ram will fit. I don't know the CPU cooler clearance of that case but the shadow rock is 163mm high so if the clearance of the case is higher than that you will be fine.
@@EmelieAmber69 thx
i think it looks quite decent to be honest. im not bodered that much by the glory hole , but i can understand that it destroys the clean look.
nice video as always :)
I really dislike how this trimmed fan does not covet the heat sink very well..... :/
Most bq! coolers do that. If you look closely at the higher-end tier, the here left-over spots are just covered by plastic
@@STSYT Yes, indeed, there are lost of test and videos here on youtube, proving that these uncovered spots decrease the cooling performance, because part of the air is coming back from this areas, etc...
I have this cooler and the pressure bar that he swears at is a no problem. Its quite easy actually. Don't have the bracket for newer 1700s though. Unsinging it with am4 - awesome cooler. Got it on sale too. More reliable than water. Less hustle.
Depends on what you compare it to, but yeah, great cooler.
And LGA1700 comes in the box nowadays
Can someone tell me if a Shadow Rock 3 can handle a 5800x3D in a be quiet 500DX case?
Yes, but not particularly well
It is very silent actually. That makes me wonder why they don't allow higher rpm than 1600? Even at it's max rpm, 1600, it's really quiet. Why not let us go up to 2000rpm?
you called it a glory hole lmfao!
Arctic Freezer 34 eSport Duo have same price and Is Better...
Depends on where you are. Prices vary a lot by location
