I'm from Karnataka and I appreciate you pointing out the masala sequences without discount and giving verdict that "MASALA FILM DONE RIGHT". Most of the reviewers hesitate to point the masala sequences of such huge films due to their fans' backlash but in such grand movies there will be cringe moments for sure and we shouldn't forget to point that out at the same time enjoy them as no brainer which is what the film is for. You balance truth and reality very well, kudos !

There was nothing cringe of sort as compared to other pan India films but yeah there was little over build up in few of the scenes which some of us might not like. But if those scenes were cut out, trust me half the audience wouldn't be watching it rn. That's why it's a mass film!!

Having an helicopter as a fan seems a little over the top but having a little elevations in such movies are necessary. You and I may not like it but the mass audience certainly does. That's why it's a mass film. KGF 3 is gonna be in English as well for the foreign audience. Hopefully Prashanth removes these elevations since he doesn't have to please the mass audience anymore after the success of KGF 2
Every Indian thinks of himself as a critic of Indian Movies after watching couple 100s of foreign movies which are undoubtebly superior than many of our movies. But, South makes movies like nowhere else in the world. I fell in love with South movies after watching Eega or Makkhi.
Kgf 1 was really good but idk why but kgf 2 felt like they were trying to force some scenes and the repetitive slow-motion scenes became boring at a point I won't say this movie was a masterpiece kgf 2 was a ok movie you can watch it without getting too much bored

Honestly, the parliament is easy to do when you get into the reasonings. 5 random people did it in 2001, so a man with an army & unrivaled supremacy over India doing it 20 years before the real life incident isn't unrealistic. Also, there actually was supposed to be a fight before at the parliament entrance (the Mysore college used for the Parliament scene attested to it), but was later scrapped.

In Inception, the main character lost his wife and now he's really desperate and ready to cross all limits just to meet his children and raise them... That's the heart of the movie ❤ But in KGF, the mother is damn straight crazy, making her son promise to rule over the world just like that... Motivating him to eat all the rich as if it's the rich people's fault that she's poor... She behaves as if she's the only one suffering and that her son has importance beyond anyone else... And everyone in the movie worships Rocky as if he really did make a difference in their lives by ruling over them 🤡.. Like he's some sort of a God and whatever he does is right!
Pleadge yourself that you all will go and watch it in theatre only and not by any piracy sites because the graphics and BGM sound will give you goosebumps you never had in your life .🔥🔥
The way rocky has been shown in the previous movie ,he is always drunk and is very unhealthy....when you said about the Ford Mustang vs one dozen SUVs I also felt that it was too much and then the bridge holding scene was nonsense.......atleast Bahubali was a demigod like character.

Great review Shantanu. This is the only review of KGF Chapter 2 that I resonated with. I would like to add one more point. I didn't like the way they shot action scenes in both parts. There were too many cuts and not enough wide shots of the action. It was plainly headache inducing for me.

KGF gave me a headache and I still am unable to understand the hype behind it. KGF was absolutely a horrible horrible movie. Worse than bhai entries, loud BGM and cheesy non-sensical dialogues. There was no coordination with the story, the hero just turned up 50 times, said some BS which was supported by super-loud and cringy BGM and exaggerated reactions from all parties. KGF's success actually underlines what is wrong with our world. Hype and perception based BS trumps everything.

Hey I absolutely respect your opinions but will disagree on various aspects. 1. Why does everyone here expect that movies should show real life aspirations and limitations only.? Movie is an artscape of imagination and it's only in these dreams one can live larger than life. 2. Everyone in comment section and other so called "Class" audience constantly bickering about action sequences not being entirely truthful and also trying to compare to West and seek western validation everytime, I have a thought for you to ponder. Don't worry won't give references of fast and furious though. I'm absolutely sure you all would have seen mission impossible series and Marvel movies. Tom cruise falls off a speeding bike and no scratches. He almost has a cardiac arrest and in next two minutes he is in a mad car chase which I must say was beautiful with no after effects. And yes you all have applauded those movies critics and audiences alike. Iron man with no special powers is able to recover a absolute stab into his torso with a "mcguffin spray", humans are able to breathe on Titan and many more such things. But endgame is the greatest movie ever made. And if I go to bond movies i can keep giving you thousands of examples. The physics and logic are kept in ur homes there and you whole heartedly enjoy the movie. Is it wrong of you, absolutely not because that's what movies are and escaping to a whole new world other than yours means. But when it comes to Indian movies you are just so righteous. I agree that mindless action movies ate cringe everywhere. But this movie has a layered story and amazing screenplay with those action sequences which essentially are the type of action movies everyone of you have loved from the west. I was excited to watch this movie , but rather i was disappointed. No wonder KGF brings a new era of movies and movie making - cinematography is just fantastic and the true vision of director and his learning is so deep that the film itself stands out of its own history. i loved each piece of this film - no where i was bored or rather distracted from the film. If we just watch it as a film its a masterpiece of its own, but i liked chapter 1 more than chapter 2. In chapter we see how POWERFUL PLACES MAKE PEOPLE POWERFUL TO BE POWERFUL. The film lost its true agenda, goal and mission. NO wonder film tries to convince us but i feel it was under a lot of pressure to make this a great hit and just give a entertainment package to audience. The teachings of a mother is misguided by the child, what his other meant and what his is doing is same but not the same. I just looked at this film as a entertaining film and a masterpiece of storytelling, cinematography, direction and music composition apart from that this film had no meaning. Life itself is very stressful i will say take movies as a sort of just entrainment don't make it a part of your life or else you will be doomed.

This movie is not for the premium minded audience it was for every poor and middle class section. What rocky achived with his mastermind and power Ranvijay would never be able to. I agree that he commented entertainment to reena but never molested her aur slept with her before marriage. He maintained that dignity plus never cheater her with another to gain information or power. He was very much loyal to her. Rocky ne bhi apni maa ke khwaishon ke liye sb kuch kiya but kabhi bhi apna patiwart dharm nhi bhula and he also made sure that no childern or women will be touched. Just because ranbir kapoor north ka hai aur Yash sir south ke hain itna bhi bias nhi hona hai. Rocky jabardasti kisi mai bhi nhi ghusa but Ranvijay jrur ghusa. Uska papa kuch nhi bola phr bhi. So first of all there is no comparison between these movies and second jo jabardasti ka wo hai. Thoda kam bias aapko bhi hona hoga.
The difference is that the mother characters motivations were not revealed until a flashback in PART 2. they waited all the way till then to reveal Rockys motivations. In Animal we see Ranveers character interact and build a relationship with his father. Based on neglect and a bit of toxic treatment. Him cheating on his wife was all part of his "plan" which was very unnecessary but him being toxic was a part of his character. That's the point of a character like Ranvijay, someone who is irredeemable.
He made review on jawan I guess where he praised it and I find kgf is better than that in acting wise too. Every movies will not be 100% good in everything.

Honestly, the parliament is easy to do when you get into the reasonings. 5 random people did it in 2001, so a man with an army & unrivaled supremacy over India doing it 20 years before the real life incident isn't unrealistic.
Also, there actually was supposed to be a fight before at the parliament entrance (the Mysore college used for the Parliament scene attested to it), but was later scrapped.

She behaves as if she's the only one suffering and that her son has importance beyond anyone else... And everyone in the movie worships Rocky as if he really did make a difference in their lives by ruling over them 🤡.. Like he's some sort of a God and whatever he does is right!
Pleadge yourself that you all will go and watch it in theatre only and not by any piracy sites because the graphics and BGM sound will give you goosebumps you never had in your life .🔥🔥

The way rocky has been shown in the previous movie ,he is always drunk and is very unhealthy....when you said about the Ford Mustang vs one dozen SUVs I also felt that it was too much and then the bridge holding scene was nonsense.......atleast Bahubali was a demigod like character.

I would like to add one more point. I didn't like the way they shot action scenes in both parts. There were too many cuts and not enough wide shots of the action. It was plainly headache inducing for me.

KGF gave me a headache and I still am unable to understand the hype behind it. KGF was absolutely a horrible horrible movie. Worse than bhai entries, loud BGM and cheesy non-sensical dialogues. There was no coordination with the story, the hero just turned up 50 times, said some BS which was supported by super-loud and cringy BGM and exaggerated reactions from all parties. KGF's success actually underlines what is wrong with our world. Hype and perception based BS trumps everything.

Hey I absolutely respect your opinions but will disagree on various aspects.
1. Why does everyone here expect that movies should show real life aspirations and limitations only.? Movie is an artscape of imagination and it's only in these dreams one can live larger than life.
2. Everyone in comment section and other so called "Class" audience constantly bickering about action sequences not being entirely truthful and also trying to compare to West and seek western validation everytime, I have a thought for you to ponder.
Don't worry won't give references of fast and furious though. I'm absolutely sure you all would have seen mission impossible series and Marvel movies. Tom cruise falls off a speeding bike and no scratches. He almost has a cardiac arrest and in next two minutes he is in a mad car chase which I must say was beautiful with no after effects. And yes you all have applauded those movies critics and audiences alike. Iron man with no special powers is able to recover a absolute stab into his torso with a "mcguffin spray", humans are able to breathe on Titan and many more such things. But endgame is the greatest movie ever made. And if I go to bond movies i can keep giving you thousands of examples.
The physics and logic are kept in ur homes there and you whole heartedly enjoy the movie. Is it wrong of you, absolutely not because that's what movies are and escaping to a whole new world other than yours means. But when it comes to Indian movies you are just so righteous.
I agree that mindless action movies ate cringe everywhere. But this movie has a layered story and amazing screenplay with those action sequences which essentially are the type of action movies everyone of you have loved from the west.

I was excited to watch this movie , but rather i was disappointed. No wonder KGF brings a new era of movies and movie making - cinematography is just fantastic and the true vision of director and his learning is so deep that the film itself stands out of its own history. i loved each piece of this film - no where i was bored or rather distracted from the film. If we just watch it as a film its a masterpiece of its own, but i liked chapter 1 more than chapter 2. In chapter we see how POWERFUL PLACES MAKE PEOPLE POWERFUL TO BE POWERFUL. The film lost its true agenda, goal and mission. NO wonder film tries to convince us but i feel it was under a lot of pressure to make this a great hit and just give a entertainment package to audience. The teachings of a mother is misguided by the child, what his other meant and what his is doing is same but not the same. I just looked at this film as a entertaining film and a masterpiece of storytelling, cinematography, direction and music composition apart from that this film had no meaning. Life itself is very stressful i will say take movies as a sort of just entrainment don't make it a part of your life or else you will be doomed.

Sorry to say sir but you are also biased after watching your views on animal and kgf in some of the points u r no one to give 50% hate to this movie. This movie is not for the premium minded audience it was for every poor and middle class section. What rocky achived with his mastermind and power Ranvijay would never be able to. I agree that he commented entertainment to reena but never molested her aur slept with her before marriage. He maintained that dignity plus never cheater her with another to gain information or power. He was very much loyal to her. Rocky ne bhi apni maa ke khwaishon ke liye sb kuch kiya but kabhi bhi apna patiwart dharm nhi bhula and he also made sure that no childern or women will be touched. Just because ranbir kapoor north ka hai aur Yash sir south ke hain itna bhi bias nhi hona hai. Rocky jabardasti kisi mai bhi nhi ghusa but Ranvijay jrur ghusa. Uska papa kuch nhi bola phr bhi. So first of all there is no comparison between these movies and second jo jabardasti ka wo hai. Thoda kam bias aapko bhi hona hoga.
The difference is that the mother characters motivations were not revealed until a flashback in PART 2. they waited all the way till then to reveal Rockys motivations. In Animal we see Ranveers character interact and build a relationship with his father. Based on neglect and a bit of toxic treatment. Him cheating on his wife was all part of his "plan" which was very unnecessary but him being toxic was a part of his character. That's the point of a character like Ranvijay, someone who is irredeemable.
And he praised KGF in the review as well. Idk why u said he is biased when he critiqued Animal for similar reasons
