In an escape condition during an FA you're supposed to allow for negative reinforcement of the problem behavior. This helps the assessor identify whether or not problem behaviors are maintained through escape or if it is is maintained by another function(s) of behavior.
Great question! Jason pretty much covered it. I know it seems counter-intuitive to reinforce challenging behavior, but that's part and parcel of a functional analysis procedure. By reinforcing the challenging behavior, you would expect the behavior to increase within the same condition. This helps the practitioner identify what the function of the behavior most likely is.
great demostration
Thank you!
I came for the FA condition but stayed for darbouka sound at 1:53 lol
Hahaha eywah!!!
Wouldn't this be escape condition ?
Hi! Escape and demand are synonymous
isabella had me laughing
