'La vida breve' is my favourite Latin American novel of the last century. Thank you for bringing us this video.

Thank you so much for watching and commenting, my friend! 😃 This novel blew my mind many years ago when I first read it. It really is a masterpiece of Latin American literature, and Onetti deserves so much more attention. Have a fantastic day!

Clearly, you enjoyed this novel. Not having read Onetti myself, I'm curious to know if it is fair to infer that _A Brief Life_ elicited in you some unexpected insight, lesson, or viewpoint that wouldn't have come to mind otherwise. If so, what was it?

Hello Leandro! 😃 What A Brief Life did for me, primarily, was to show me how "reality" and "fiction" (and "fantasy," of course) could be blended beautifully with complete disregard for so-called "realism." I love the artistic freedom he displays in this work. Thank you so much for stopping by, my friend! Have an excellent day!
