DCA just got the news yesterday, and I was contracted this year at Atlanta CV for my rookie season. Remember drum corps peeps, we are a Family, we got each others backs. Together we stand.
I feel bad for everyone in drum corps because even though I marched back in the 70's I still recall the amount of practice and dedication we put into our show which we started practicing for as early as September. Around February the anticipation of the actual season would really start to kick in, the schedule would come out and I would start making my family and work plans for summer to coincide with drum corps. I did this for 5 seasons right up to the point when I went into the Army, in September of course after drum corps season. But this isn't about me, sorry, I had my time, its about you guys and what you have put in to your shows and how its been taken away from you. I only hope things somehow get straightened out and you can perform next year. I'm sorry you missed your time this year and good luck in the future.
i started getting into dci late December last year. big fan of the blue devils, and i really wanted to see my first dci season. guess i will have to wait until next year.
I had plans to study in Japan this summer. That all changed when the program decided to cancel altogether thanks to COVID-19. Now DCI decided to cancel?!? This sucks, man. This really sucks.
So what does this entail for those who are planning to audition for the 2021 season? Are the rosters for 2021 already finalized and there will not be any auditions?
That would be really nice but I feel like that would cause too many problems with too many members ending up getting cut, when really they should have made it. And I dont mean in a competitive sense, I mean guaranteeing too many spots to the point where there are so little spots, no new auditionees would be able to make it.
Braden Schuster i feel like it wouldn’t be a guaranteed spot rather jsut getting another year to audition because unlike wgi the whole season is cancelled not jsut the Last month
I can't believe my summer was gone like that 😥😭😭😭
Same dude
I feel this!!
what corps were you in might i ask? @payday 2
Would you make content about your hikes and kayaking trips? Personally, I would love that.
I might!
Welp, there goes my rookie season!
Joseph Emerson me too!! Where were you marching?
Joseph Emerson same
Me too
Same. We’ll get there, and now our rookie season will be 2021 and we will have all had 2 years to make a great show
@@willrobinson1482 I’m not sure about that 😕

It's tough but I'm glad to be getting an extra year to march

It would’ve been my first year 😭 like it’s not that bad for me cause I’m only 15 but I wanted to move up next year

As far as I know, everyone will audition. I’m sure they’ll provide spots to ageouts though. We will see
@@AustinArmstrong I got cut from the 2020 season and now I am wondering if there will be spots available for the 2021 season. Any insight?
Caleb Johnson Hi! I’m a mello player at SCVC and we’ve been told that we will still have auditions. Hope that helps!
Auditions will still be happening as far as I know (I’m at phantom regiment) but it might be harder since there are no age outs
Caleb Johnson some corps are keeping their horn lines and drum lines set, like my corps.
2021?
If Dci is Cancelled why am I seeing Instagram pages posting scores?
Sorry for the kids, but atleast we dont have to see that dread for a year!
There goes my first season with the cascades
So much for 2020 Velvet Knights Drum and Bugle Corps season.
I feel like all 2020 contracts should get another year because we all lost our summers.

No way I follow you on Instagram Cool!
So do the members that made it this year just get to train for an extra year? Imagine being able to train for an extra 12 MONTHS.
