      CooLoserTech Question...once you cut the rgb light to use elsewhere, what other stuff will I need in order to use the rest of my strips? I'm assuming I will need another power outlet. Could you link me the stuff I would need from Amazon? Would greatly appreciate!!

    • @GL-GildedLining
      @GL-GildedLining 7 років тому +2

      *The Amazon seller you link to has changed what is sold when you follow that link.* Now it's just one 16' strip, and it's the cheapest kind of RGB: _"NOTE : This is 3528 SMD LED lights,so each LED lamp bead has only 1 kind of color (Red,Green or Blue),so there are 3 kinds of lamp beads on the light strip"_
      Basically the shady seller gets to ride on the back of your reputation (and any other UA-camr who links to something like this) and sucker your viewership into blindly buying the wrong thing.

    Just a small heads up for anyone testing their LEDs on the reel, make sure to only test for a few seconds, as they get hot enclosed very fast and it only takes a few minutes for them to melt the reel.

    What’s annoying is if you decide to take off the led strips from your monitor and it’s been on it for a while the sticky side will be left behind leaving you with a lot of your being wasted pealing them off... just a tip... place some masking tape on before hooking up led lights.

I hate the look of ugly, clunky AC adapters with the smart ones. I do love the fact that these ones are easy to connect multiple strips without soldering. I plan on doing an entire apartment.

    • @iBertz
      @iBertz  5 років тому

      The power supply has certain amps, Watts and volts, so it should regulate it's power safely.
      If one strip uses 100 watts for an example, and your Power Supply is 150 Watts Total, you have 50 watts left to use for the next strip of 100 Watts. So you would need 200 watts for peak delivery on both strips.
      With that said, 2 things might happen. 1 is the first strip may get 100% power delivered, and the second strip only 50%. Or 2 it will split the power evenly.
      Again this is an example, the numbers I gave you are only to give you an idea, as I'm not sure how much the power supply actually has or how much the LED strips need to use to run.
      I'm just saying out of experience, that's how it's worked for me and I've only connected 2 of them, when I'm sure you can connect more.
      As long as the PS has enough to run all the strips you'll be fine. The strips can only use and share what your power supply, supplies!!! Hope I made sense, if it makes sense 🤣

    Awesome video!!! If you have a second, I've got a quick question about the USB set.
    Have you recorded how long (roughly) the USB LED set will run continuously while connected to your battery bank before it dies off? I'm curious to see (roughly) how long they last on one charge. Thanks for sharing the video!!!
